And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love;
and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16

Please Note:  There is not enough room in the whole world to write down the Glory of God, the Majesty of God, the Wonder of God, or the Grace of God.

No book or website in this world could contain all the fullness of God.  God is greater than anything we can imagine.

Our meager attempt with this website is to give people a glimpse of God's Glory, endless love and compassion which God has reveled of Himself through His word.

Who is God?

The dictionary defines God as the supreme or ultimate reality and the being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe.

The word of God states that God is love and God is the Creator of all things.

God is Eternal.  God existed before anything and will remain forever.

In the beginning God was and before the beginning of anything God was.  There has never been a time without God.

God is infinite, everlasting, without beginning and without end.  God is the only immortal.

God is love.  Out of God's timeless and limitless love, God created the universe and created man and woman.  God created us to give us all things.  It is up to us to accept His free gifts.

God does not force Himself on any person.  Each person has a choice to accept the knowledge of God.  Every human being has a choice to know God.

God gives every human being a measure of faith which enables us to believe in Him.  We are all made capable to have faith in God, no exceptions, but it is ultimately our choice to do so, or not.

God desires us to be where He created us to be, which is with Him for all eternity.  By accepting the salvation of God, eternal life, His free gift to all humankind, we become the children of God by His grace through faith in Him, and are permitted to spend eternity with God.

We all have an eternity after we die.   Each person has the choice between two eternities, either with God and without God.

Those who choose NOT to believe in God, will spend their eternity without God

Those who choose to believe in God, will spend their eternity with God

We all are given the same choice, to have faith in God.  Unbelief separates anyone from God for all eternity.

God is the Creator of all things.  Nothing that was made was made without God, for God created everything.

We are NOT the creator of our own life.  Mankind did not create mankind.  God creates all life, when He breathes life into us.  Man has never and will never create life.  A woman does not create life, she is a host of life, which God created.  Without God there is no life.  God breathes life into every living creature.  Without the breath of God there is no life.

God is the Creator of our lives.  We are nothing without God.  We do not own our own lives, God does, we own nothing.  We only deceive ourselves if we think that we are something.

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Galatians 6:3

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1 Timothy 6:7

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:5

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
John 3:27

God is the meaning of our life.   Without God there is no meaning to life.  We need God in our life to live.

God is enough.  God is more than enough.  God is sufficient, and our sufficiency is God.

We are all born searching for God.  God knows us each individually before we are even born.  God is waiting patiently on us to seek Him, to answer His call to us to come to Him.  God calls every person to Him, but He does not force us to come to Him, we much choose to come to Him.

God promised from the beginning, if we seek Him that we will find HimGod is always with us, all we need to do is receive the knowledge of Him and accept Him into our life.

How is God love?

God is love

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 4:8

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.  God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16

God is love.  There is not any real love without God.  Love comes from God alone.  Any fragment of real love that you may possess comes from God alone.

We know only a fraction of what love really is, in our mortal human bodies in this wicked, sinful world.

We will see true love, pure love one day, without any human limitations, when we see our LORD God. How wonderful and glorious that day will be!

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Romans 14:11

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.
Even so, Amen.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelation 1:7-8

God didn't create love, God is love.  Love is the essence of God, the nature of God, the heart of God, God is love.

Without love we cannot know God.  Without living in love, showing love, giving love, sharing love, we cannot know God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 4:8

Love is holy, love is sacred, love is pure, love is precious, love is real.  We must love on purpose, we must be committed to love.

First, we love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our might.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:37-38

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:30

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 10:27

O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
Psalm 31:23

The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
Psalm 145:20

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Proverbs 8:17

Second, we love one another.  When we love God with all our heart and commit ourselves to obey His word and follow Christ, we can love one another, as God commands.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:39

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:31

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:44-45

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 1:22

Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 19:19

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Luke 6:35

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34-35

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
John 15:12

These things I command you, that ye love one another.
John 15:17

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1 John 4:21

ALL people who do NOT love, do NOT know God.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1 John 4:20

It is a fact that all people do NOT love God and all people do NOT love one another.  Those without love are lost people without God.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1 John 3:10

The will of God is that ALL people obtain salvation through love and truth.

Oh, How I love Jesus!  If we love God the Father, we love His Son.  The word of God says that no one can love God the Father, without loving His Son, Jesus Christ, God the Son.

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1 John 5:1-2

Do NOT be deceived:  The Scriptures never state that love is God.  There are many false doctrines in the world today that pervert and twist the true Word of God and falsely claim that love is God.  Nothing is before God.  God is love, but love is NOT God, as nothing is God except God.  For some this may not be a big thing, but whenever someone changes the words of God around it is serious to God and to their eternal destiny.  The Scriptures tell us that damnation, eternal separation from God, exists for anyone who adds to or subtracts from the Holy Word of God (Revelation 22:18-19), and God promises us all that every jot and tittle, every letter and word He gave will be fulfilled (Matthew 5:18).

How does God exist?

God exists

The existence of God does not require my belief or your belief.  God exists no matter what we believe.

We are dependant on God, but God is dependant upon no one.  God is NOT dependant on us.

God exists without us, but we cannot exist without God.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I AM HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isaiah 43:10

Faith in God is believing that God is God, that He is all who He says that He is.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

God is before all things

God existed before.  Before what?  God existed before any before, before anything, before ALL THINGS.  God has always been God.  God was in the beginning.  God has always been God.

God existed before anything existed.

God always was and always will beGod always existed.

God has always been here and will always be here.  Everything we know of exists because of God, the Creator of all things.

ALL THINGS, everything we know of exists because of God.

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Colossians 1:17

All things consist by God, all things exist by God.

God is the beginning of all things

In the beginning God.....
Genesis 1:1

God is the beginning of beginnings.  There was never a time when God did not exist.

God existed before the beginning.  In the beginning God (Genesis 1:1).

If there were a beginning before all things, God existed before that time.

God cannot be measured with human based time.  Time was created for man, by God.  God does not need time, man does.  God is timeless, limitless, never ending, eternal.

From the beginning of the world

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Acts 15:18

Humankind was created by God for God.  All we know of personally is of this world, this universe.  The earth and this small universe is all that man has seen.

God is past, present and future

God is all which is
            Which was and
                        Which is to come.

I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelation 1:8

God is our past, present and our future, to all of us who have faith in Him.

God is alpha and omega

And he said unto me, It is done.  I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.  I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:13

Who hath wrought and done it, calling generations from the beginning?  I the LORD, the first, and with the last, I am he.
Isaiah 41:4

The first of what?  The last of what?  God is the first and last of ALL THINGS.  God was before the beginning of all things and God is after the end of all things.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I AM HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isaiah 43:10

How is God eternal?

God is eternal

God is eternal.  Nothing was before God.  God has always been in existence.  God is without beginning and without end.  God is the beginning and the end.  God did not create God, God is without creation.

God is the only eternal.  As the children of God, we have received eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we have eternal life from now on, but we were NOT eternal before we received salvation.  Human beings all have a starting point, when we were first created.  God was not created, God has no starting point, He is the only eternal LORD God.

We were created by God, we had a beginning, a created beginning, therefore we were not eternal before our creation.  God is eternal, having no beginning and no end; He is the only eternal God.

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
Deuteronomy 33:27

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Romans 1:20

The Almighty Creator LORD God is the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God.

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Timothy 1:17

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Psalm 90:2

From everlasting to everlasting is our LORD God.

Who is omnipotent?

God is Omnipotent

God is omnipotent, all powerful, having supreme and limitless authority over all things.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Revelations 19:6

No one can do what God can do

O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?
Deuteronomy 3:24

God is Over All

God reigns over all His creation.  God is ruler over all.  God owns all things, everything that we know about, all we can see and all we cannot see belongs to God alone.

Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:  for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
1 Chronicles 29:11-12

And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
2 Chronicles 20:6

For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
Psalm 47:2

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Psalm 83:18

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Psalm 103:19

And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Zechariah 14:9

Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Romans 9:5

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 10:12

Only the one true living God is the Most High over all the earth.

Who is truth?

God is truth

God cannot lie

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Titus 1:2

Eternal life was promised before the world began.  From the creation of the first man, first human being, it has been God's will for man to have eternal life and be with Him, God in His Kingdom, the Kingdom of Heaven.

The first estate of man was eternal life.  Man was created to possess eternal life.

Man gave up his inheritance to everlasting life, when he purposefully sinned against God.  Man choose to listen to the lies of the devil, by believing in the devil, man fell into unbelief in God, man believed the devil over God, sinned against God.

Separation from God is unbelief in God.  Unless we have faith in God, we will not see God in our eternity.  Unbelief in God separates anyone from God for eternity.

It is not God's will that any of His creation, any person, perish and die in sin.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

God of truth and without sin

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Deuteronomy 32:4

God is the Rock, the word of God is perfect, God is a God of truth without iniquity, without sin, God is just and right.

What is possible with God?

Man has many limitations on what we can do, but with God nothing is impossible.  With God all things are possible.  God is limitless.

All things are possible with God.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Mark 10:27

For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Luke 1:37

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Luke 18:27

God is limitless and boundless.  NOTHING is impossible with God.

Everything, ALL things are possible with God.

Alone man is limited and man is bound, but with God nothing is impossible.

As human beings, we like to put limits to what is possible with God, but that kind of thinking is wrong, because NOTHING is impossible with God.

I, myself, might not be able to do something, but God can do anything, but with God nothing is impossible, nothing is impossible with God.

Nothing is impossible with God, is truth from God that we should hold on to, say to ourselves every day when we wake up, and all throughout our day.

The unbelieving and defeated cry "I can't", which is NOT from God.  "I can with God" is from God.

With God:

  • I can feel better
  • I can follow Christ
  • I can witness for God
  • I can quit [insert addiction]
  • I can have full joy
  • I can have peace in my life
  • I can cease sinning against God
  • I can have a close relationship with Jesus
  • I can find time for worshiping God
  • I can quit lying
  • I can be truly happy
  • I can be content with my life God gave me
  • I can go to church
  • I can obey God
  • I can study God's word
  • I can thank God for my life and ALL things
  • I can live in love for God and others
  • I can forgive everyone for everything
  • I can love all people
  • I can have an abundant life
  • I can have all things with God.

What can you do with God?  Make a list for yourself, I can ____________________.

Isaiah 45:12

God created humankind - male and female.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:1-3

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:10

God gives life to all things

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Acts 17:24-28

Only God can create life and give life.

As hard as some men try, no man can create life from nothing.  Scientists have tried to create life but have never fully succeeded.  Only God Almighty can breathe life into His creations.  Man will never succeed in creating life from nothing.

Why did God create everything?

God created all things for His pleasure.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou has created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelations 4:11

God is love and He created man to share His love.

The love of God is reflected in the union of marriage.  A man and woman marry because they are in love with each other and they want to share their lives with each other.  A child is born from the love a man and woman have for each other.  Children are a product of love, children are created from the pleasure of love a man and woman shares with each other.

Children are the blessing of love between a man and a woman from God.  A man and a woman have children because they love each other and because of the love of God.

Of course, today people do NOT live their lives by God's plan.  They choose to plan their lives their own way, with sometimes disastrous results.  Sometimes these people blame God for the wrong path that they chose.

Only God has the right plan for my life, and your life.  I choose God's will and not my will for my life.  I choose to let God plan my life.

Every time that I have planned my life in the past, stepped out of God's will for my life, I have had disastrous results.

I have failed many times trying to manage my own life, doing things my own wayMy way doesn't work, but God's way works every time.

The only way my life works is with God at the reigns.  My life does not work without God.  My life needs the loving guidance of God.

I surrender all my life to Jesus.  My life is in the hands of God.  I seek the will of God for all things in my life.

I can follow God's will, when I deny my self will.

God promises to be responsible for my life, when I obey Him, when I follow His will.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23

Does God exist? Is God alive today?

Yes, God does exist and God is alive today.

The LORD is the true God, He is the living God.

A time has not been without God.  God has existed always.

There has not been a time when God was not alive.  God has always been alive and will be alive forever.  God is eternal, without beginning and without end.

If there were a beginning God was there before it, and if there could be an end, God would be after that.  God is the beginning of the beginning and the end of the end.

God is living today; God is alive

But the LORD is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting king: at His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

God does not live in the pages of the Bible, God is alive today in the hearts of His children, believers of Christ Jesus, and in His Kingdom.

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said,  I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2 Corinthians 6:16

As believers of Jesus, we are the children of God and the temple of the living God.  God's temple is in His children, in our hearts and soul.

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God,
which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:31

God is present today, just as He was present with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and with Moses, and with Noah, and with Paul and His Apostles.

Our God is not just the God of the past, but He is the living God of today.

God is the same yesterday, today and for all the tomorrows.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
John 6:69

Who is the great I AM?

God is the great I AM.  God is the I AM of all creation.  The Lord God is the I AM.

I AM THAT I AM

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exodus 3:14

I am the Almighty God

I am HE

Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning?
I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen:
that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:
before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed,
when there was no strange god among you:
therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
Isaiah 43:10-12

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me,

and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen;
and have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 1:17-18

What can only God do?

We know from scriptures that all things are possible with God, but what can only God do, that no one else can do?

There are a multitude of things that only God can do, here we will list some of them.

Create the universe

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

The earth did NOT create itself.  Only God created the world.  God alone created the heavens and the earth.  God alone hung the stars in place.

Evolution is a myth and has never been proven, and can never be proven, and will never be proven.  Nothing produces nothing.  Something cannot evolve from nothing.

Create Life

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:21

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:27

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:7

Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
Genesis 5:2

Only God can create life.

People, human beings do NOT create life.  A man and woman do not create life, a woman is a host for life, that God creates.

Only God breathes life into all creations.

We are the creation of the Creator, we do NOT create anything.

Everything we have, or think we have, comes from God alone.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17

We came into this life with nothing and we will leave this world with nothing.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1 Timothy 6:7

Forgive Sins

Only God can forgive sins.

No one else in this world can forgive people of their sins, only God can forgive anyone of their sins.

Only the Creator can forgive the creation, no one else is worthy.

No human being on this earth, no pastor, no bishop, no teacher, no preacher, no priest, no leader, no religion, no association, no government, no president, no religious leader, no one can forgive anyone's sin, except the Lord God Almighty.

If anyone tells you that they can forgive your sins they are a liar, a false prophet, a false person.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Hebrews 10:10-12

Jesus Christ was the one sacrifice for sin, once for all, the offering for sin for ever.  The word of God says that no human priest can never take away sins.

Our sins are removed by the blood of Jesus, His sacrifice was once and for all people, for all time, for anyone who believes in Jesus and places their faith in God.

Give Salvation from Sin

Only God saves us from sin and the effects of sin.  Only God gives salvation and saves anyone from sin and death.  There is no other way to God.  We are all saved, receive salvation, the same exact way, by the grace of God through faith in God.  Nothing else is required for salvation except faith in God.

Salvation is a free gift from God, to all people who believe in Him and place their trust in Him and receive Him into their life as Saviour, Master and Lord.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

Many false religions and false people teach that you are saved by works, or by giving money, but that is NOT what God says in His Holy Word.  God saves us by His grace through faith in Him, alone, nothing else, and NOT by any works that we can do.

God is able to save us alone, without our help, that is the grace of God.  We certainly do not deserve to be saved, we are not worthy to be called His children, but through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, through His grace we are saved.

God grace alone through faith in Him is enough to save us.  You are NOT saved by any works that you can do.  God tells us over and over again, in His Holy Word that we are NOT saved by works.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:5-7

Since the beginning of time, with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, satan has deceived people into believing in him instead of believing in God.  Today, satan still lies and deceives people into believing in works for salvation, instead of what the LORD God Almighty tells us all, that we are justified, we are saved by God's grace alone through faith, not of works.  The devil wants us to have faith in our works, instead of God, satan wants to destroy and kill all humans, all of God's creation.

Do not be deceived by the devil, believe in God, have faith in God alone for salvation.  Please do not place you faith in the lies from the devil, who says you must have works for salvation.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1 Peter 1:18-21

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Mark 11:22

Don't have faith in lies, don't have faith in your works, Have faith in God.

Give Peace

Only God is peace and only God can give anyone peace.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

Jesus our Lord God guides our feet into the way of peace.

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Luke 1:79

He that overcame the world, Jesus gives peace.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God is peace and will speak peace to His people.

I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Psalm 85:8

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Matthew 5:9

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Psalm 34:14

Only with God can anyone have peace.  Without God there is no peace.

There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
Isaiah 57:21

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Romans 8:6-7

The Kingdom of God is peace.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.  For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:17-19

The peace of God passes all understanding and keeps our hearts and minds and will us with all peace.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

God is the author of peace.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
1 Corinthians 14:33

Peace is the fruit of the Spirit of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

Christ Jesus is our peace and is the Maker of peace and came in peace and He preached peace and gives us peace.

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

God is Eternal Life

Only God is life and only God gives eternal lifeGod is eternal life.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
1 John 5:20

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:27-28

What does it mean ONE God?

The scriptures tell us that there is ONLY ONE GOD.

ONE GOD means that there is ONE God; and this means there is ONE GOD, NOT two Gods, NOT three Gods, there is ONE ALMIGHTY GOD, who is the ONE Creator of ALL THINGS.

There has always been only ONE GOD.  There has always only existed ONE GOD.  There will only be ONE GOD for eternity.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I AM HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isaiah 43:10

The LORD GOD is one God, before Him there was no other God formed, and there is no other God after Him.  There has been one God in eternity forever.

The Lord our God is ONE Lord

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Deuteronomy 6:4

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:29-30

And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
Mark 12:32

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
1 Corinthians 8:4

Jesus Christ is LORD and the only begotten Son of our Father God and they are one God.

I and my Father are one.
John 10:30

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
John 17:22

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
1 Corinthians 8:6

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:4-6

These three: Father God and the Word Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are one God.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1 John 5:7

No other three are called one, only these three are called ONE.

We are to be baptized in the name of one God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:19

How can three be one?  Some people like to argue that three cannot be one, so how can three be one God, simply because these three are God.

Faith in God is believing that God is all who He says that He is.

Faith in God is not believing just some of what He says, NO, faith in God is believing ALL who He says that He is.

God says that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one, so they are.  We are not to dispute the word of God.

Faith in God is believing that He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

Only through saving faith can anyone believe in God.  The sinful veil of darkness must be lifted from your eyes to see God.  Through faith in God we can know that He is all that He says He is, without faith in God you remain blind to the truth.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

Without faith in God, without believing that God is who He is, you will not see God.

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.  Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.
2 Corinthians 3:14,16

Only through faith in God, faith in Jesus Christ as God the Son, can the veil of darkness be removed, and you can turn from darkness to light, from unknowing to knowing, from death to life everlasting.

God is ONE

Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
Galatians 3:20

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:4-6

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1 Timothy 2:5

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
James 2:19

One God

Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
Malachi 2:10

And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
Mark 12:32

Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Romans 3:30

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
1 Corinthians 8:6

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:6

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1 Timothy 2:5

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
James 2:19

So if I believe there is only one God I am saved?  No, the scriptures say that the devil believes there is one God.  Believing in one God does not grant salvation.

So why does God refer to Himself as "us"?

If God is one God why does He refer to Himself as "us", because there are three in Heaven and these three are one God.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:26

God tells us that there are three that bear record in heaven:  The Father, the Word; and the Holy Ghost - and these three are one.

The Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost are one

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1 John 5:7

The word of God tells us that God the Father, the Word Christ Jesus and the Holy Ghost, that these three are ONE.

ONE what?  Who is the Father, but God, these three are one God

God the Father can be nothing other than God.

The Word, which is Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God.  The Son of God came forth from God.  God can only beget God, the Son of God, Jesus Christ is God, God the Son.

The Holy Ghost is from God, and nothing but God can come forth from God, only God can come forth from God, the Holy Ghost is God.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are ONE GOD.

How can this be?  No one can be three entities in one?  But that thinking is man thinking and wrong.  God can do anything.

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Mark 10:27

Please note:  Only these three are one.  The word of God did NOT say every time that three things are grouped together that they are one, God said that THESE THREE are ONE.  Not other groupings of three people are one.

God the Father and the Son of God CANNOT be separated.  They are ONE.

Jesus said "I AND my Father are ONE."  God the Father can only be God.  The Son of God is God - they are ONE.

I and my Father are one.
John 10:30

God never said that 'man and God are one', or that God and me are one.  We are to be holy as God, we are to follow His Son, we are to live righteous lives as God, but we are never one God, and we are never gods.

Is God man?

A lot of new religions today like to claim that God is a man, or that man is God, these are all false teachings, because God said that He is NOT a man.

False religions and the lost like to bring God down to their level and make Him just like them or any other sinful man.

God is NOT a man

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?  Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Numbers 23:19

So many false religions today say man is God, and God is man, this scripture corrects that statement and clearly states God is not a man.

What man would even suggest that they are God?  That's blasphemy!

What does scripture tell us?

Who said they are God?  Satan said he was God and God cast satan out from heaven to be separated for eternity from God.

God cannot sin.  God is NOT human.  God is Spirit.  God is the Creator. God is Eternal.  God is Holy.  God is above ALL things.

God is the beginning and the end, Alpha and Omega, the first and last.  God existed before ALL things.  God was before anything before.  God is the first of ALL things.

Anyone who says God is man, does not know God, and does not know His word.

And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
Mark 12:24

Is man God?

Man is NOT God.  God is NOT man and man is NOT God.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?  Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Numbers 23:19

When we are saved, we become the children of God, but we are never God.

There is only one God.  There has always been one God and there will always be only one true God.

All throughout the word of God, the saved, the believers of Christ Jesus, are called the children of God, each believer of God is a child of God.

I will always be a child of God.  After 10,000 years in Heaven, I will still be a child of God.

God's position has never and will never change, HE will always be God, the only one true living God Almighty.  Nothing will ever change that.

No man or woman can ever become God.

Believers are NOT 'a god' and we are NOT 'little gods'.   It is blasphemous to say you are God, or a god, because there is only One Lord God.  To say there is more than one God is calling God a liar.

Many people say that since we are OF God, then we are some sort of God, maybe a "little god".  This is NOT biblical and this is NOT true.  Only God is God.  Human beings cannot and never will be God, or any form of gods.

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God.  Jesus was not created by God.  God manifest Himself in the flesh is Jesus.  Jesus was begotten of God, Jesus came forth from God to live as a man on this earth.  Jesus has always existed.  Jesus has always been with God.  Jesus has always been God, and will be God for eternity.

Many people cannot comprehend the fact that God can do anything that He wants to do, or be anyone or anything that He wants to be.  The Godhead, the fullness of God is Jesus Christ, and has always been this way.

Many people cannot believe that God is in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.  God has always existed this way.

God is the Creator of all things.  God created all things that we know about.  Why can't people believe God is who He says He is?  Why don't all people have faith in God?  God says that the lost people are blind to the truth.  God says that we must believe in Him as God the Father and believe in Him as God the Son and believe in Him as God the Holy Ghost, or we cannot be OF God.

We as human beings are not begotten of God, we were created by God.

All humankind was created by God.

We are OF God through adoption by His Son, Jesus Christ.

We are the children of God by adoption, we are adopted into the family of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Romans 8:15

We are the children of God through adoption, we are saved by the grace of God through faith, belief in His only begotten Son, faith in Jesus Christ, faith in God.

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Ephesians 1:5-6

We as adopted children of God, we inherit the Kingdom of God only through our kinship with Christ Jesus.  Through our relationship with Jesus Christ we belong to God the Father.  We become members of the household of God through our relationship with God the Son.

As children of God, adopted through Jesus into the family of God, we are co-heirs to the kingdom of God, joint-heirs with Christ.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Romans 8:17

Being adopted into the family of God does NOT make believers into Christ, or into God or into gods or into any form of gods.

Being saved does NOT make any man a god.

You may say, but what about the scripture that says 'Ye are gods'. This scripture, like many scriptures, has been taken out of context by many false teaches and false religions.

These scriptures refer to the people at that time that were using their authority as gods.  If you read the entire chapter you see that these people who abused their authority were condemned.

Anyone, any human being, man or woman, that says that they are god or gods, or any form of gods will also be condemned by the one true living God.

Anyone saying they are God or a god, or little gods, receives the wrath of God.  DO NOT BE DECEIVED.

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.   And again, The Lord shall judge his peopleIt is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:30-31

To say you are as god or god, puts you into the position of God, equal to God, equal as Creator, there is only one Creator, the one true living God.

Only God is the Creator of all things.  Without repentance, no one can say that they are God without damnation.

Some people pull certain scriptures out of the bible to condone and validate their false teachings or their living a certain sinful lifestyle.

Take for example the scripture John 1:20 which says, "And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ."

Why would Jesus deny he is the Christ?

If we read the verse before that one, John 1:19, we can see that it was not Jesus stating "I am not the Christ", but it was John.

You can pull out any number of scriptures out from the word of God and twist them to say something they do not mean, practically anything you want.  People twist the word of God everyday to have it meet their perverted false teachings.

People can manipulate the scriptures to support any number of perverse ideas and theories.  Cults do this all the time, to convert followers into their false religions.

Cults cannot tell their potential members that they serve satan, because most people would not join.  But if they pervert the word of God, twist scripture to support their false teachings, they can trick many people into believing and following their ungodly ways.

God knows this today, as He did back in biblical times, and in His Word we find many scriptures that tell us about such people, who twist His words for their own profit and who change His scriptures to promote their false doctrine.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:17

Avoid those who cause divisions with false doctrines.

Do NOT be deceived, people with false doctrines serve only the devil

A little of false teaching is still false teaching and partial truth is still a lie.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Romans 16:17-18

Any teaching contrary to the word of God is from the devil by people who serve satan.  God says that we are to avoid such people.

We are living in the end times.

These are the last years of the world as we know it, the Lord God is coming soon for His followers, His people.

The scriptures say in the latter times some people will depart from the faith and depart from the sound doctrine of Christ, being seduced by the devil into false doctrines.

False doctrines are everywhere today.  Every town in America contains cults and false doctrines being preached.  All around the world there are people worshipping the devil, engaged in witchcraft and other false doctrines.  These lost souls would rather hear a lie than the truth of God, the word of God says that they turn away their ears from the truth and turn to fables and lies.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1 Timothy 4:1

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Timothy 4:3-4

More than any other time, it is extremely important that we as believer stay in, abide in the doctrine of Christ, remain separated unto the gospel of God.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Romans 1:1

By abiding in the doctrine of Christ, remaining separated unto the gospel of God, we hold fast the profession of our faith, hold onto our salvation.

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
Revelation 2:25

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 3:3,5

We transgress - sin - when we do NOT abide in the doctrine of Christ.

The word of God says those who do NOT abide in the doctrine of Christ, that they do NOT have the Father and the Son, they hath NOT God.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.
He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
2 John 1:9-11

Those of us who abide in the doctrine of Christ have both the Father and the Son.

The scriptures go on further to say that we should NOT bring any false doctrines into our homes and those that listen and watch these false doctrines are guilty of their evil deeds

Most of what is on television is NOT the doctrine of Christ.

Most of what is on television is false doctrine

The scriptures tell us, that if we listen to false doctrine, doctrine that does NOT support Christ, listen to those people that do NOT believe in Jesus, we are as guilty as they are of their sin.

What is false doctrine on television?  What is evil?  What is unholy?

False doctrine is more that just preachers who promote themselves and their own doctrine instead of the word of God.

False doctrine is anything contrary to the Gospel of Christ, the Doctrine of God, the Doctrine of Christ, which is the word of God.

Most television programs promote false doctrines that are contrary to the word of God.  Many television programs today promote lying, cheating, coveting, greed, idolatry, nakedness, swearing, murder, adultery, sin, blasphemy, wickedness, hatred, witchcraft, demonic worship, lustful, worldly sin.

We know through God's scriptures what is evil and unholy, what is unrighteousness, that we should not take part in by watching.  God says that if we view sin, watch sin that this is taking part in that sin, doing the same sin.

Yes, God says that watching sin is committing the sin you are watching.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
2 John 1:9-11

Did God know about television when He wrote these scriptures?   Yes, He sure did, God knows everything.   God knows everything that happened in the past, God knows everything that happens today in the present, and God knows everything that will happen in the future.  That's omnipotent, unlimited, and that's who God is, our God is omnipotent.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Revelation 19:6

The word of God says that all sin, any sin is unrighteousness.  A little sin is still sin, sin is sin.

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Romans 1:29-31

All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
1 John 5:17

So how can we live righteously?  It's simple, abide in Christ, focus on God.  God says that if we submit ourselves to HIM, resist the devil that the devil will depart from us.  All we need to do is resist the devil and God will do the rest.  Being tempted is not the sin, yielding to the temptation is sin.  God promises that if we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, God promises that the devil will flee from us.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7

God is greater than the devil.  The devil didn't cast God out of Heaven, no, God cast the devil and his followers out of Heaven.

We know for a fact that God is greater than the devil, and as believer we are of God, if we abide in God, God promises to abide in us, and greater is God in us than he that is in the world.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4

Because of Christ Jesus, we are able to overcome sin and death.  By the grace of God through faith in God, we are saved from sin and death.

As the children of the Most High God we are to live sinless, we are to live righteously like our Father, like our Lord Jesus Christ.

You may say, 'that's impossible, no one can live without sin', but that's NOT what God says.

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
1 John 5:18-19

As believers of Christ Jesus, we are kept by God away from sin.  When we live in obedience toward God, the devil can't touch us!

God is able to keep His own from sin.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
2 Corinthians 9:8

God of truth without sin.

God of Truth and without sin

Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a
God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Deuteronomy 32:4

The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.
Zephaniah 3:5

Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me,
O LORD God of truth.
Psalm 31:5

Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
Psalm 40:11

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalm 100:5

For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
Psalm 117:2

But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
Psalm 86:15

Truth is very rare and hard to find in the world today.

Everyone doesn't lie.  Who lies?  The devil and the devil's children.  People who do NOT follow the will of God.

The children of God are to be separate from the world, we are not to follow the ways of the world, we are to follow the ways of Christ.

One way to follow Christ is to obey God's commandments, one of which is NOT TO LIE.

When we do NOT live in truth, do not abide in truth, we separate ourselves from God.  God will never leave us, but we can leave God.  God will never desert us or abandon us, but we can abandon God.  God will not force us to love Him.  God will not force us to obey Him.

Because God is truth, every lie that we tell separates us from God.

Telling a lie is obeying the devil, NOT God.  Lying is a choice.

When we choose to lie, instead of telling the truth, we decide NOT to obey God, and we decide to obey the devil.

When we choose to lie, instead of telling the truth, we choose to serve the devil, instead of serving God.

When we choose to lie, instead of telling the truth, we are willfully committing sin against God.

When we choose to lie, we know we are breaking one of God's commandments, but we choose to lie anyway, in spite of what God commands.

When we choose to lie, instead of telling the truth, we choose to stand with satan, instead of standing with Christ Jesus.

Abiding in truth is standing with Christ.

There is no such thing as a 'little lie' with God.  God sees all lies the same, all lies are sin.  A 'little sin' is still sin in the eyes of God.

You may say, "but I tell the truth most of the time, so it's okay"That's NOT what God says in His word.

Truth is of utmost importance to God, and it should be most important to us also.  Truth is never casual with God.  Truth and telling the truth is an extremely serious matter with God.

God sacrificed His only begotten Son, so the world could have the truth given to them.  This was the ultimate sacrifice given by God for us.

We should never forget the price that was paid so that we could have the truth.

When we are tempted to lie, we should remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross, the humiliation, the pain, the sorrow, the blood that He shed for us, so that we could have the truth.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

Jesus is the truth.  As a child of God, as a follower of Christ, we should continually abide in the truth all the days of our lives.  We should have nothing to do with lies, because Jesus, the truth, lives and dwells within us.

There is no excuse, no reason that can validate any lie, but there is a extremely good reason why we should tell the truth, and that reason is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, our God.

As the children of God we should always live in truth, because Jesus is the truth.

When we fell the urge to lie about something, we must remember we are the temple of God, Christ dwells in us, and He is the truth.

I cannot follow Christ, walk with Jesus, live with God, if my life is full of lies.  I must follow truth, walk in truth, and live in truth.

No lie is worth the price that my Lord and Saviour paid for the truth.

So why do we lie?  Since the beginning of time, in the Garden of Eden, satan has deceived people to believe a lie, tell a lie, and live a lie, to leave the truth, and to leave God.

We lie because we are influenced by satan.

The children of God should only be influenced by Jesus.

By deceiving us to tell a lie, satan separates us from God.  The devil hates all humankind and his goal is to separate us from God and destroy all who love the only true God.

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1 Corinthians 13:6

With a loving God, a tender merciful caring Lord and Saviour that we have, how can we not tell the truth in everything we do and say.

Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things he hath done for you.
1 Samuel 12:24

It is better, if we cannot say the truth, to say nothing at all.

We must pray and ask God to lead us in truth.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:5

We must choose to walk in the truth, we must choose the way of truth.

I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
Psalm 119:30

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Proverbs 3:3

Are the words of God written on your heart?  Has the Spirit of God written on the fleshly tables of your heart?

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.
2 Corinthians 3:3

What is the character of God?

This section has been moved.

Go to - Character of God

Who has seen God?

No human being has seen God at anytime.

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:12

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father,
he hath declared him.
John 1:18

ONLY through Jesus can we see the Father God.  When receive the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus we see God, we know God through His Son.

Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
John 6:46

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?   he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
John 14:9

When Jesus Christ was in the flesh, in human body form on this earth, He was the revelation of God Himself to mankind.  Those who physically saw Jesus saw God the Father, because Jesus was God in the flesh.

ONLY when we receive salvation and obey and follow Christ, can we be of God and know God.

Just saying that you know God does NOT mean that you know God.

Just saying that you are saved is NOT enough

The word of God says that we must obey God and we must deny ourselves and we must follow Christ, sin NOT and live in righteousness, live and walk in the Spirit of God daily and continually for the rest of our lives.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
Luke 9:23-24

Many, many people say that they are Christians, say that they are saved, say that they know God, but they deny God by being abominable and disobedient to God, they deny God by living in sin.

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Titus 1:16

We must obey God and keep His commandments if we are to know God.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
1 John 2:3-6

We CANNOT just believe and confess we are saved, we must show the world we are saved, through living righteously.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Matthew 7:16

We must hear the words of God and DO what God tells us to do.

And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Luke 8:21

The word of God says we must DO the will of God in order to ENTER heaven.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:21

We will NOT gain entrance into Heaven, into the presence of God, by who we say that we are.

We will gain entrance into Heaven ONLY if God knows who we are.

We must be KNOWN by God in order to see God.

In order to inherit the kingdom of God, enter Heaven, God must know us personally.

NOTHING else will gain anyone entrance into Heaven, into the Kingdom of God, ONLY people who God knows will enter Heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:22-23

How old is God?

Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Job 36:26

How wonderful it is that the word of God answers all our questions!

God is infinite, without beginning and without end, from everlasting to everlasting.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Psalm 90:2

There is no time with God.  God exists without time.  God does not need time, man needs time.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2 Peter 3:8

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Psalm 90:4

How long will God exist?

God is infinite, never ending, forever.

The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
Exodus 15:18

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Psalm 45:6

For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
Psalm 48:14

The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Psalm 33:11

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Psalm 45:6

God is Eternal

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
Deuteronomy 33:27

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Timothy 1:17

Where is God?

God is everywhere.  God is in the heavens and the earth. God is inside the hearts of believers.

God is NOT far from us

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of usFor in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Acts 17:27-28

How comforting it is to know that my God is never far from me, He constantly watches over me and is there for me, to protect me and give me strength, to lift me up when I fall down, to bring me pure happiness and assuring comfort in the hope of my salvation.

God is in Heaven

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
Psalm 115:3

Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Psalm 11:4

God dwells in believers.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8:9

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16

1 John 4:15

God is with us.

Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
Deuteronomy 7:21

God is everywhere.

The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.
Zephaniah 3:5

God is in the light.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:6,7

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even unto now.
1 John 2:9

How can God be in Heaven, and dwell in Believers, and be everywhere at the same time?  Because He is God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

Through our faith as believers we know without a doubt that He is God and CAN do whatever He says that He can do.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26

With God ALL things are possible.

What's impossible for GOD?  Nothing.

For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Luke 1:37

With God NOTHING is impossible.  All things are possible with God.

What does God know?

God knows everything.  He is everywhere and sees everything.  Nothing is hidden from God, not even our thoughts.

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Acts 15:18

How can we know God?

Can anyone have knowledge of God?  Yes, God said we can in His word.

God grants man the wisdom to know Him.  Not that any man can fully know all about God, but we are given a measure of the knowledge of God through Christ Jesus.

Jesus said that if we know Him, that we also know His Father in Heaven.  Knowledge of the Father God is only through the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

The will of God is for ALL people to know Him through His Son.  God wants ALL people, everyone that He created, to know Him personally and continually without end.

Through the knowledge of God, we are saved from hell, and granted eternal life by believing on His Son, Jesus Christ.

How can we know that we know God?  By obeying God, keeping His word, keeping ALL His commandments, we can KNOW without a doubt that we KNOW HIM.

OBEY God

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1 John 2:3

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1 John 2:5

Abide in God and walk as He walked

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
1 John 2:6

Do not know God

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1 John 2:4

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Titus 1:15-16

To know God is to love God

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.  God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16

Love what God the Father loves

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:15

To know God, you must know Jesus

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
1 John 2:22-23

What pleases God?

His Son, Jesus Christ

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
2 Peter 1:17

All fulness dwells in Jesus

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Colossians 1:19-20

God gives all things to Christ.  Everything was created for Christ.

Good service and Praise

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his nameBut to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Hebrews 13:15-16

To bless Israel

And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
Numbers 24:1

When we ask not for ourselves, but ask for the will of God

And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.  And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;  Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
1 Kings 3:11-12

What does not please God?

Those without faith

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
1 Thessalonians 2:15

Carnal man

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8:7-9

Those overthrown by satan

But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:5-12

This list was given to us so we can avoid these sins, so we don't fall into these sins.

People who complain

And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
Numbers 11:1

Keeping Children from the Lord

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Mark 10:13-16

What does God seek?

As true followers of Christ, we are to seek God, but did you know that God seeks you?  The scriptures tell us that God the Father in Heaven, seeks, is looking for true worshippers to worship Him.

God the Father seeks true worshippers to worship Him

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-24

If you are a true worshipper of God the Father, you are to worship him.

What does God Promise?

This section has been moved.

Please see - God Promises

What does God require?

We are to accept all the Love of God

God is love and wants to give us His love.  We are to accept His love for us.  We are to put on the love of God like clothing - wrap it around us every day.

Some people do not feel worthy of God's love and reject His love.  How sad for these people.  When we become the children of God, we become worthy of God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

God wants to shower us with His love, cover us with His love.

God loves us more than anyone every has or ever will.  God's love will never leave us.  Nothing can separate God's love from us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

We cannot reach the limits to God's love.  There are no boundaries to God's love, we cannot step outside of God's love, if we trust in God and walk the path that He has chosen for us.

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
Psalm 139:17-18

God loves us so much that He thinks about us all day and all night. The number of His thoughts of us are more in number than the sand!!

More than the number of the sand!  Incredible!  We can't even begin to think that many thoughts, but God can, and He does and about US!

When we wake up in the morning, GOD is thinking about US!!  How wonderful is that!

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:5

We are to Love God completely.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deuteronomy 6:5

God loved us first.

We love him, because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19

God wants our love.  God loves us all. God wants us to love Him.

We are to love, worship and serve only One True God.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:3

There are not multiple gods, there is not a god of the earth, and a separate sun god, or a god of this or that; there always was and always will be ONLY ONE GOD.

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
Deuteronomy 4:19

And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
Deuteronomy 17:3

Today, as in biblical times, there are many people worshiping and serving other gods here and around the world.

God wanted to make it crystal clear that we are to serve only one God, Him, the One True God who created everything.

And if we choose not to obey Him there were consequences for the people back then, as well as for them today.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:7

For thus said the LORD that created the heavens;  God himself that formed the earth and made it;
he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited:
I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:18

God wants us to seek the kingdom of heaven, because if we seek Him, we will find Him.

and what doeth the LORD require of thee, but
to do justly,
and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God
?

That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him:  for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Deuteronomy 30:20

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even unto now.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Proverbs 3:5

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
Proverbs 29:25

Make disciples of all nations

God wants us to find ALL His lost sheep.

God wants all His children to evangelize, share His gospel with all the world.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:18-20

Depend on God

God wants us to depend on Him for everything in our lives.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Psalm 37:5,7

God wants unity of His followers

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
John 17:22

God wants our fellowship

This is pretty amazing to me, God who created the universe, who created everything wants to have fellowship with me!

God wants to talk with me!  Gods wants to be my friend!

God is amazing!  God who has fellowship with the whole world and the hosts of the heavens, still wants to hear my voice!

God patiently waits for us until we have time to talk with Him.  He is always there, waiting on us, to give Him some time out of our busy day.

God eagerly waits for us to speak with Him and tell Him about our day, our joys and our sorrows, and waits for us to ask for His help in our lives.

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Philippians 1:5-6

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1 John 1:6

We can only have fellowship with God if we do not live in sin, when we stay close to God, when we fellowship with Him.

How did God show His love for us?

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:9-10

God showed us His great love, through the greatest sacrifice known to man, the crucifixion of Christ Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, for the propitiation for our sins, to wash us clean from sin, to make us worthy to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, this is love, this is how God showed His love for us, by His greatest gift of love, the love sacrifice of His own Son for us, so that we could receive eternal life.

Why should we love God?

God is the reason we exist and we owe everything we are to God.   Everything we have and will have is because God loves us and gave it to us.  We are nothing without God, we have nothing without God.  We owe God our life.

God loved us first.

We love him, because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Why should we worship God alone?

Worshiping God alone is means to worship the one true living God and not to worship anyone or anything else, to worship God exclusively.  To worship God alone, we mean to worship God and no other gods.

We are to worship the one true Godhead - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, these three are one God.

God said we cannot worship Him along with anyone or anything else.  We are to worship God exclusively, from all else.

There is not enough time in this world to list all the reasons that we should worship God alone, but I will list a few.

The LORD He is God

The LORD He is God and there is none else beside Him.  This fact should be reason alone why we worship only the one true living God, because He is the LORD GOD.

Unto thee it was showed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
Deuteronomy 4:35

Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
Deuteronomy 4:39

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Deuteronomy 7:9

And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
Joshua 2:11

Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Psalm 100:3

That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.
1 Kings 8:60

He is the One True Living God

God is the ONE God.  God is the TRUE God.  God is the LIVING God.  He is the One True Living God.

And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Mark 12:32-33

Even the devils know there is only One God.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
James 2:19

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Mark 12:29

But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
Jeremiah 10:10

For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols
to serve the living and true God;
1 Thessalonians 1:9

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
1 Timothy 4:10

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
Mark 12:27

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.
2 Corinthians 3:3

God is the Creator

God alone is the Creator of all things.  No one else can do what He alone can do.  God alone breathed life into us, no one else is life.

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
Acts 4:24

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;  Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
Acts 17:24-25

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 4:11

Because we Love our Lord God

And God spake all these words, saying,

I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exodus 20:1-5

Because we love our God who created us in His own image, who rescued us from the bondage of sin and death, He alone deserves all our praise and worship.

God alone created us, loves us and cares for us, God alone deserves our worship and honor.  God wants to protect us and does not want us to come to any harm.

The Lord is a jealous God, He alone created us and He alone is who we should worship.

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Exodus 34:14

For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 4:24

God was our Father from the beginning, and He is the only one who created us and gave us life.  No one else is worthy to claim His praise and worship.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
Deuteronomy 5:9

(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
Deuteronomy 6:15

I worship God because He loves me

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 John 3:1-2

God calls me His child!  It is not rational that I should be called His child, because I am not at all worthy, but through Christ Jesus, my King, I am made worthy in the sight of God Almighty, by His miracle.

It is amazing to me, that I have inherited through faith and trust in Christ Jesus, the Kingdom of God!  That after I die in this flesh, that my spirit and soul will be with my King, Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior and Father God of all creation!

There is no one else I will ever worship than my Lord of lords and King of kings, my Lord God Almighty!  Halleluiah!!  Praise the Lord!!  Jesus Christ is Lord!!

God died for our sins, so we could live.

We worship the only one true living God because through His sacrifice, He gave us eternal life.  Even though we did not deserve it, He gave the ultimate sacrifice so we might live with Him, in His kingdom for eternity.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 3:16

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

1 John 5:11-13

It is written to worship the Lord thy God

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Matthew 4:10
