GOD Promises

This is a Bible study on GOD's Promises.     Click here for a printable Bible Study Guide.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4

Every God promise - every good gift and every perfect gift we have received and will received is from God above.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  James 1:17

What is a promise?

Promise is defined in the dictionary as a pledge to do, bring about, or provide; the declaration that one will do what is specified.

Most everyone has promised someone something in their lifetime.  Many promises are given and many promises are broken every day.  When promises are kept and proven true, one is able to place more and more trust in that person.  When promises are broken, one is hurt and brokenhearted and it is very hard to trust that person again.

A lifetime of broken promises hardens one's heart and makes it difficult to trust anyone.

Promises do not seem to mean much these days.  In the generation of our parents, promises meant a great deal more. Business deals were made with a handshake and not broken.  Today there are teams of lawyers and contracts for the simplest of agreement.

The promises given in this world cannot be compared to the promises of God, because all the promises of God are true, cannot be broken, and all of God's promises will be fulfilled.

People will disappoint you, this is a fact of life.  People will break their promises given to you, but you do not have to give up on trusting everyone.  You can trust God, as He promises never to forsake you and He promises never to leave you.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

And God promises that if you place your trust in Him that He will bless you with more than you could ever imagine.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 2 Corinthians 2:9

The promises of God can be trusted because they are from the God who made you and loves you more than you will know in this lifetime (1 John 4:10).

What are GOD promises?

The promises given by God are God Promises

Following are three important facts about God Promises: 1) God gives us exceeding great and precious promises; 2) The promises of God cannot be broken; and 3) All of God's promises will be fulfilled.

God Promises are Exceeding great and precious promises

There are many words that define the promises of God.  In 2 Peter the Scriptures beautifully describe the promises of God as exceeding great and precious promises.

Scriptures tell us that the children of God according to God's divine power are given all things that pertain to life and godliness and that these promises of God are exceeding great and precious promises.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4

Unlike the broken promises given to us by the world, the promises of God are exceeding great and precious promises.

Exceeding great because there is not any promise in this world greater than the promise of eternal life, offered to all people by the grace of God.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

Precious promises because there is no other promise that has been made more precious than God laying down His life in order to give us eternal life with Him (1 John 3:16).

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16

This selfless love, God giving Himself for the salvation of the world, separates Christianity from all other faiths in this world.  The promise of eternal life is the most precious promise and the exceedingly greatest promise anyone could ever hope to be given.

The exceeding great and precious promises of God are offered to everyone - whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   The choice to accept the promises of God are up to you.  God sets life and death before every person, we must choose for ourselves, and God asks us to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).

God Promises Cannot Be Broken

The promises of God cannot be broken.

The written promises of God are located in His Word, in the Holy Bible, in the Scriptures.  John 10:35 states that the Scripture cannot be broken.

Many people only know broken promises, they have never known anyone who kept their word, kept their promise.  People change their mind and their word, but God doesn't.  God does not change.  God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is the same God eternally.  God is eternal and His promises are eternal.

God promises that His promises cannot be broken.  Only in God's Word can you find every promise fulfilled.  No other writings have been proven true.

God is able to keep all of His promises because He is God and He is faithful that promised (Hebrews 10:23).  God is faithful to all His promises.

ALL God Promises will be Fulfilled

God will fulfill ALL of His promises (Matthew 5:18).    This is something that no one else can promise you.  God is faithful.  God is faithful and He will fulfill all of His promises.

Because God is God, He is able to fulfill all of His promises.   The promises of God never expire.  If God made a promise, if God wrote His promise in His Scripture, then He promises that He will fulfill that promises.  No matter what happens in the future, nothing can prevent God from being God, nothing can prevent God from fulfilling His promises.

The Word of God, the Holy Scriptures are eternal because God is eternal.  The Word of God will live on for all of eternity.  Although many people have tried, the Word of God is testament to who God is and can never be destroyed.  The Word of God is the living Word of God.   Long after this planet, this world, is gone the living Word of God will still exist.

It is important that we realize what exceeding great and precious promises that God gifts to us.  It is important that we know that the Scripture cannot be broken, ever.   It is important that we understand that all God promises will be fulfilled.

How does GOD promise?

God Promises are Faithful

Because He is faithful that promised (Hebrews 10:23), the promises of God are faithful.

The promises of God can be trusted and they are proven faithful because God is faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9).  The promises of God can be trusted, they are faithful because of their source, the one who makes the promise is God.

A promise is only as good as the one who makes the promise.

God is the source of His promises, He is God and He is the guarantor of His promises.  God cannot lie (Titus 1:2), He cannot fail you, He can be trusted to faithfully fulfill all of His promises.

Perfectly consistently good

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

How can we know which gifts are from God above?  The scriptures tell us that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.  The promises of God do not change, because God does not change, He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).  There is no variableness with God, there is no shadow of turning.

Pure, peaceable, gentle, merciful wisdom

The wisdom of God is first pure, then peaceable.  We can rely on the promises of God by purity, because God is pure.  We can rely on the promises of God to be peaceable, gently, easy to be entreated.   We can rely on the promises of God to be full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17

The promises of God will never betray His word.  The promises of God are from God above, and will be full of the character of God, will emit the virtues of God, will stand in tune with all of God's righteousness, will echo, resound the attributes of God above.

What I should know about GOD promises?

God is faithful to all His promises

God is faithful to do all that He promises.  God has fulfilled and will always fulfill every promise He ever made.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:18

God does not promise that some of His Word will be fulfilled, but God promises every jot and tittle will be fulfilled.  Every Word of God will be fulfilled.

God promises to fulfill ALL His promises.

What good is a promise if it is never fulfilled?  God is the only one who can and will always fulfill all that He promises, past, present and future

Every past promise of God was fulfilled, every present promise of God is being fulfilled, and every future promise of God will be fulfilled.

People fail, we cannot deliver on all our promises that we make.  Too many people spend a lifetime of holding onto broken promises.  We must release the past hurts from people, leave in the past what is in the past, and reach out and hold onto the promises of God that will never fail us.

God is faithful and cannot lie (Titus 1:2).  When God gives any promise, you can be assured it will be fulfilled.  God has never failed to deliver on His promises and He never will.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9

We must have unwavering faith that God is faithful and we must trust in Him to fulfill all He promises us.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrews 10:23

God Promises affect you

What does all this mean to you?  This means that if every promise of God, ever made, ever spoken by God, ever written down in the Scriptures have never been broken and cannot be broken, then every promise in the Scriptures is true.  And if every promise cannot be broken, if every promises of God will be fulfilled, all the promises of God will happen, then you need to know what they are, you need to find out what the God promises are by reading the Word of God.

The promises of God will affect your life today and your life in the future, you need to know what promises are made by God concerning you.

The meaning and purpose of life for everyone is located in the Word of God.   Isn't it time that you found out what exceeding great and precious promises God has waiting for you?

What is the first GOD promise?

The Scriptures tell us that God loved us before we were born (Ephesians 1:4).  God made promises before we were created and before He created the heavens and the earth.

The first promise of God is unknown because God is eternal and we have not known God that long.  But God did give us His Word, His revelation of Himself to us in written form in the Holy Bible, the Word of God.  From the Word of God we can see the first written God promise.

In the beginning God

The first written promise of God is found in His Word, the Holy Bible.  The first verse of the Word of God in the first book of the Bible, Genesis 1:1, contains the first written promise of God to mankind, which is in the beginning God.

God promises that in the beginning He was.  From the very beginning God existed.  God was in the beginning.  Nothing was before God, nothing existed before God.  God is the God of all things.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God - this is the first promise of God.  God promises us that He was in the beginning and that He alone created the heaven and the earth.

There is great comfort knowing that God has always been God, that He always existed, that was God in the beginning of all things, that He has always been God and will always be God.

The Scriptures go further and state that God is the beginning (Revelation 22:13).  God not only was in the beginning, but God is the beginning.

God was first, before all things there was God.  God existed before all things.  No one or nothing existed before God.  In the beginning God.  God is the great I AM.  Almighty God was before all things, before anything was created there was God.  God is the Creator of all things.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Colossians 1:17

To be given the promises of God we must trust and believe in God and that He is all He says that He is, that He is able to do all that He says He will do, he that cometh to God must believe that He is (Hebrews 11:6).

Every person that comes to God must believe that He is God and that He is all who He says that He is in His Word.  This fact - believing God is the one true God - separates believers from unbelievers.

Believing in God, trusting in God, is believing that God is God according to His word.  Believing in God is believing that the Word of God is truth as it is God's words.  The Word of God is not separate from the God of the Word.  God is eternal and His Word is eternal.  To accept the promises of God one must accept that God is who He says He is and must accept His word, the Word of God as His truth.

What was the first promise of God?  The first promise of God is that He is God, that He has always been God and that He will always be GodIn the beginning God and in the end God.  God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end, the first and last (Revelation 22:13), and God is all we ever really need.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22

What is the last GOD promise?

I do not believe that there is any last promise or end to the promises of God.  When we see God face to face and start spending eternity with Him, I believe that the promises of God will continue throughout eternity.  That said, now we will look at the last written promise of God in the Scriptures.

As the first written promise of God is found in His Holy Word - in the beginning God, so is the last written promise of God found in His Holy Word.

Surely I come quickly

The last written promise of God is "Surely I come quickly" located in Revelation 22:20.  God promises to come back for His own and He says that He is coming very soon.  Are you ready?

This promise in Revelation 22:20 is built upon another God promise located in John 14, where Jesus comforts us by explaining that He is leaving this earth for a short while, but promises to come again, and to take believers to be with Him forevermore (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4

After Jesus came to earth from Glory (John 3:13), after Jesus was manifest in the flesh like mankind (1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:16), after He lived and worked on this earth like man (Hebrews 2:17), after Jesus suffered being tempted with sin (Hebrews 2:18), after He preached to the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18-19), after He healed the sick, after Jesus raised the dead, after Jesus made the blind to see and the lame to walk, after Jesus cured people of all sorts of infirmities and diseases, after Jesus performed more miracles than could be contained in all the books of the world (John 21:25), after Jesus was persecuted, after Jesus was beaten and crucified on His cross for the sin of all mankind, after Jesus loved us and washed us from our sins by His own blood (Revelation 1:5), after Jesus' body died and was buried in a tomb, after He arose from His grave to life everlasting, before He ascended to Glory, God promises to come again.

Remember every word of God will be fulfilled (Matthew 5:18).

All the promises of God will be fulfilled and Jesus is surely coming quickly Are you ready?

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22

Where are the promises of GOD?

The written promises of God are located in the Word of God, the Holy Bible, the Scriptures, but the actual promises of God are kept with God.

The promises of God are with God.

The promises of God are with God and given to us by God, and are discerned through knowledge of God through Jesus by the Holy Ghost located in His Holy Word, the Holy Bible.

The promises are part of God and cannot be taken from God.  No one or nothing can cancel or change the promises of God.

The promises of God are kept with Him, in His safe keeping.   No one but God has control of His promises.

The promises of God are eternally kept with God.  The promises of God are never removed from God.

The promises of God are eternal.

God is eternal and His promises are eternal.  No one can break the promises of God because they are His promises alone.

All scripture is given to us by God through the Holy Spirit.  The word of God is God's revelation of Himself to humankind (2 Timothy 3:16).  From the beginning to the end, the word of God is overflowing, filled with the promises of God.

All the promises that God gives us through His word have already been fulfilled or will be fulfilled in the near future.

God promises to fulfill every word written in His Holy Word (Matthew 5:18).  God promises that His Holy Scriptures cannot be broken (John 10:35).

The Holy Bible is not just a good book, as it is the words of the Most High God, Almighty Jehovah, the Lord God of all creation, the testimony of the Righteous Saviour, the one true God and Eternal Life.

Our God of love and hope gives us promises for every season of our life, through every circumstance, from the beginning of our live on through to our death and every time in between.

ALL the promises of God are in Jesus Christ

All the promises of God in Jesus Christ are yea and in Him Amen and all are to the glory of God by us.  God, Jesus, and us.

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2 Corinthians 1:19-20

All the promises of God are in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

All the promises of God in Christ Jesus are yes, and in Christ Jesus Amen.

All the promises of God in Christ Jesus are to the glory of God.

Father God, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are One God (1 John 5:7).  The promises of God are in God, are in Jesus are in the Holy Spirit - Yes and Amen - ALL the promises of God - ALL in God, unto the glory of God by us.

To the glory of God by us - We are the object of ALL the promises of God.  God is not required to give us anything of His, but He loves us so much that He gives us everything.

Who is able to give GOD promises?

The promises of God come from God Himself.  Only God is able to give God promises.

The promises of God are given to us by God Himself, none other.  No other person but God can give the promises of God because they all belong to Him alone

Salvation is given to all mankind by God, none else, because the salvation of God belongs to none other than God.   We are saved by God alone; nothing else and no one else can save you but God.

Teachers, preachers, people, you and I, we can share the gospel of Christ and lead someone to salvation, but the operation of salvation is performed by God Himself, none other.   You or any other person cannot save anyone.  We are not and will never be given the power to save people from sin and death.  We cannot give someone God's salvation because the salvation of God is not ours to give.  God gives His salvation freely to anyone who comes to Him by faith.  Salvation belongs to God alone.  No one but God owns salvation, no one but God can give salvation.  No one can save themselves, by any means, because the salvation of God belongs to God alone.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

The promises of God are with God, given to us by God, and are discerned through knowledge of God through Jesus by the Holy Ghost received at conversion.

The promises are part of God and cannot be removed or taken from God.

All the promises that God gives us through His word will ALL be fulfilled.  God promises to fulfill every word He has written in His Holy Word (Matthew 5:18).  God promises that His Holy Scriptures cannot be broken (John 10:35).

The Holy Bible is not just a good book, as it is the words of the Most High God, Almighty Jehovah, the Lord God of all creation, the testimony of the Righteous Saviour, the one true living God and Eternal Life.

Our God of love and hope gives us promises for every season of our life, through every circumstance, from the beginning of our live on through to our death and every time in between.

Do not be deceived.  No one on this earth can give you the salvation of God.  No amount of money can purchase the salvation of God.  No works on your part can obtain the salvation of God.  The salvation of God is the promise and gift of God, given freely by God Himself to all people who come to Him in faith that He alone is the God of salvation, that He alone can and will save them from sin and death.   We are all saved the exact same way, which is by the grace of GodBy the grace of God ye are saved (Ephesians 2:5).  The salvation of God is the promise of eternal life with God, given from God and given to whosoever comes to God in faith and believes He is the God of salvation.

Many deceivers are out in this world.  The Scriptures call them sheep in wolves clothing.  These fakers are out to destroy the hope of people.  These liars change the word of God, twist and pervert the Holy Word of God to promote themselves above God.  These liars have but one goal, to keep you from receiving the salvation of God.  These deceivers work for a different father, the father of lies, who is satan.  Be aware.  Be armed with the truth, know the truth, know the true Word of God.

Which GOD promises will NOT be fulfilled?

All the promises of God will be fulfilled.

God promises to fulfill every word written in His Holy Word. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled (Matthew 5:18)

God promises that His Holy Scriptures cannot be broken (John 10:35).

All God promises will be fulfilled. There is NOT one promise from God that will NOT be fulfilled.

Special Note:  This is a proven fact.  There has never been a promise given from God that has not been fulfilled, or that will not be fulfilled in the future.  No one else can state that ALL their promises have been fulfilled.  With this fact alone, you would think that more people would be concerned about the promises of God.  Not one God promise has ever been broken and all the promises of God will be fulfilled.  You would think that everyone would be reading the Word of God to find out what promises are made about them, as God has made promises to every person in this world.

Can you list ALL the promises of GOD?

It would be impossible for anyone to list all the promises of God because God Promises are infinite - beyond number and without end.

We can list some of the promises of God:  love, peace, joy, comfort, faith, salvation, eternity spent with God, and eternity spent without God.

Please Note:  The God Promises that you personally receive are dependent upon your relationship with God.

God Promises Love

God is love and God promises His love to all people (1 John 4:8; 4:16).

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. John 4:9-10

God Promises Peace

God promises everlasting peace to all who come to Him.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 4:9

God Promises Joy

If we abide in God, we will receive the blessings of God, we will produce good fruit, the fruit of the Spirit; with God is fulness of joy.

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. Psalm 5:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

God Promises Comfort

God promises comfort.   God promises that He will NOT leave you comfortless.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18

What an awesome promise it is that God will never leave us comfortless!  Our lives take many different directions, some good and some not so good.  But no matter where we go in this life, God promises that He will come to us and comfort us, anywhere and everywhere we are, because God is ever present with all people who choose to place their faith and trust in Him.

God Promises Faith

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3

God has given every person the measure of faith.  God left no one out of this promise, because the Scriptures tell us the we are all given the measure of faith, faith to use to believe in God to salvation.

God Promises Salvation

God promises salvation to all people who choose to come to Him.  Salvation is a choice every person must make for themselves.  God says in His Word that He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  Everlasting life, eternal life, is eternal salvation gifted to all people who come to Him for salvation.  Look unto Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else (Isaiah 45:22).

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. Jeremiah 17:14

And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. Luke 3:6

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

If we use our God-given faith to trust God and come to God in faith that He alone will save us, then God promises that we will be saved.

God Promises Eternity with God

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

God is the eternal God.  None but God is eternal - without beginning and without end.

As human beings we are not eternal because God created us, we all have a beginning.  God promises that if we place our faith and trust in Him that He will give us eternal life and that everlasting life will be spent with Him.

Eternity with God is offered from God to all people who choose to place their life in His hands, to all who choose to have faith in God to salvation.

God Promises Eternity without God

From our creation, God grants every person free will to choose God or reject God.  God forces His will on no one.

God sets before every person life and death, blessing and cursing and God lets everyone choose their own path (Deuteronomy 30:19).  God desires that we choose Him, that we choose life, but He forces no one to choose Him.

God promises all people will have an eternity - either with Him or without Him - based on our choice in this life.

We either have faith in God to salvation or we don't.  We either have faith that God alone can save us from sin and death or we don't.   We either follow God's truth as written in His word, or we don't.    To be with God or to be without God is our choice.

If we choose to reject God and His Word, then we reject His gift of salvation.   God promises all people who reject His truth of salvation are condemned already, because they do not believe in the name of Jesus for salvation.

All people who reject the salvation of God through faith in Jesus, all people who do not believe in Jesus for their salvation will NOT see life, will not spend eternity with God, but have the wrath of God abiding in them.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:17-18

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

Too many people believe that in the end of all things, at the end of this world age, at their end, that it really will not matter what they chose in this life, that in the end the God of love will allow all people to enter into His Paradise, but this is NOT what is written in the Word of God.

The Word of God, the Holy Scriptures, Jehovah God Almighty says that no one enters into His presence without faith in Jesus Christ for their salvation.

All people who remain in their unbelief will be cut off from God and His Kingdom, all the unbelieving will not enter into His rest, all the unbelieving will be eternally separated from God, and all the unbelieving will spend eternity without God.

More promises of God

The written promises of God can be found inside the pages of the Word of God.  The Word of God contains the written promises of God that God desired us to see.   God is more than is written in the Word of God.  God is God and He is not limited to His written promises.  Not all the promises of God are contained in the Word of God, because God is not bound, not limited to remain in His written word.  God is greater than all things.  There is more of God than is written in His Word.  God is omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent.

Even the Scriptures tell us that the world could not contain all of God (John 21:25), all the wonders of God.  The promises, the glory, the miracles, the mystery, the love, the holiness, the wonder of God is beyond our full understanding.

It is impossible to know all there is to know about God, because He is God.  We are given a glimpse of God, because we are not capable of knowing all of God in our present human form.

No one knows all that there is to know about God, because no one is God but God.  Even the most learned biblical scholars do not know all about God, because He is past our understanding, He is God, He is above full comprehension.  We are not God and will never be God, we will soon be in His Kingdom, in His presence for all eternity if we have elected to do so, but even then we will have limited knowledge because God will always be God and we will always be His children.

God promises to reveal more of Himself to us when we see Him face to face in Glory (1 Corinthians 13:12), because only then will we be able to handle that knowledge, in our new form.  God knows what is best for us and He knows what our small finite minds can hold, and cannot hold.

The written promises of God are found all throughout the pages of the Holy Word of God, from the first verse to the last verse and all verses in between.  The promises of God are eternally endless, because God Himself is eternal.

This Bible study will look into some of God's promises, as it would be impossible to list all of the promises of God.

This Bible study will discuss the life and death promises of God.

This Bible study will discuss promises given to all people, promises given to only believers, and promises given to only unbelievers.

The eternal promises of God are dependent upon your personal relationship with God.

Who receives the promises of GOD?

This is a very important point, because the promises of God affect every living creature

No one is exempt from receiving the promises of God.   No one living or dead is left out from the promises of God.  The fact is that it doesn't matter if you believe in God or not, you will still receive the promises of God.

Exactly which God promises you will receive is dependent upon your personal relationship with God.

All people receive the promises of God

Every person in this world receives promises from God.  God left no one out, from His promises.  No one is excluded from God's promises.  All people receive the promises of God.

The promises of God are placed all throughout His Word.  They are too many to list in this website.  There are promises from God for every situation in our lives.

Some of God's promises are conditional to our spiritual state, meaning there are different sets of promises from God that are based on our relationship with Him.  For simplicity, these promises have been categorized into three different groups of people:  (1) All people (all believers and all unbelievers), (2) all believers and (3) all unbelievers.

God has different promises for all types of people:

1.  God promises for all people - This set of promises God gives to everyone - all people of this world, the believing and unbelieving.

2.  God promises for believers only - This set of promises God gives to the believing, His own children, the righteous, the saved.

3.  God promises for unbelievers only - This set of promises God gives to those who reject God, the unbelieving, people that are not His children, the lost.

There are two types of people in the eyes of God, those with faith and those without faith in Him to salvation, those with, those who have elected to receive His salvation and those who have rejected His gift of salvation, the saved and the lost, those that are His own and those that are not.

Through salvation we can become the children of God, His own, through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  There is no other way to receive the salvation of God but by faith in Jesus to salvation.  Believing in God for salvation is the requirement for receiving the salvation of God.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

The unbelieving are all people who reject God for their salvation, all people who do NOT believe in Jesus Christ for salvation are not the children of God, and will not inherit the Kingdom of God, are not saved from sin and death, have not received eternal life, will never see God face to face.

In conclusion:  All people receive God promises; but, which promises we receive from God is based on our choice and our relationship with God.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19

Life or death is our choice, to live with God or live without God is our choice, God says "choose life".

All people receive God Promises.  No person alive or dead is exempt from receive the promises of God.

What does GOD promise ALL people?

Listed here are some of the promises of God for ALL people.

God Promises Love

God promises His love to all the people of the world.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God loved us first, before we loved Him.

God's love is available for anyone and everyone.  To receive the love of God all we must do is accept His love.  God's love is available for anyone who chooses to accept it.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10

God loves the human race so much, that He sent His only begotten Son to earth, to live and die for all the sins of all the people of this world.  Before we loved God, He loved us enough to save us from eternal damnation.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Christ came to earth and died for our sins, while we were still sinners, before we loved God, to give us eternal hope, eternal life through His death and resurrection.

God does not force anyone to accept Him, it is our choice.  Everyone has a choice, to either accept God's love or to reject God's love.

God Promises Faith

God promises ALL people the measure of faith

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3

The measure of faith that God gifts every person is the amount of faith needed to answer His call to come to Him.  We are all saved the exact same way, we are saved by the grace of God through faith in God (Ephesians 2:8).

By faith we are saved (Galatians 3:26), and we are all given this faith by God, we are all given the measure of faith to believe in God from God Himself.  How wonderful is our God!   The exact amount of faith required to believe in God is given to every human being by God.

God gives every person the measure of faith.  God left no one out of this promise, because the Scriptures tell us the we are all given the measure of faith, faith to use to believe in God to salvation.

God Promises Forgiveness

God promises forgiveness to ALL people who come to Him.

It does not matter what you have done in your past, or what you are doing right now - God promises to forgive you.

No one is exempt from the forgiveness of God, no matter what they have done, no matter how bad they think they have been.

The Holy Scriptures are full of wretched people who have been forgiven by God.  Liars, persecutors of the righteous, blasphemers, evil doers, adulterers, murderers, thieves, law breakers, fornicators, all types of people have come to God, and all types of people have been forgiven by God.

The bad and evil things you think are unforgiveable are in fact forgivable by God.  No thing, no act, no life is beyond the mercy and grace of God to forgive.

Do not be deceived.  There is nothing more that the devil would like you to believe, than you are such a horrible person that God could never forgive you.   But this is just one of the many lies that satan tells people over and over, every day.

God Promises Free Will

All people are given a choice - all people are given free will to choose God or reject God.

God Promises every person free will to choose Him or reject Him.  God Promises every person free will to accept His free gift of Salvation or reject it.  God Promises every person free will to choose for themselves who they will follow and serve in this life.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15-18

God offers every person a choice and God desires that we choose Him, that we choose life, His eternal life, through faith in Christ Jesus to salvation.

God Promises Tribulation

Believing and unbelieving - ALL people - are promised tribulation.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

God promises ALL people in the world shall have tribulation.  The fact of life is that every one faces problems in their life.  No person in this world is exempt from problems.  Life is problematic.

We all face tribulation, trouble, problems.  Don't blame God, because He is not the cause of your trouble.  God is the solution to all trouble.

The good news is that no matter what trouble we face, God gives us a way out.

God Promises a way out

God promises everyone a way out of trouble, or as He says "a way to escape".

I love this Scripture.  This verse is so comforting, that no matter what I get myself into, no matter what comes along my path, that nothing is too big for God to take care of.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

We will never know how many soldiers of the Lord have held onto this Scripture when persecuted, starved, enslaved, tortured, beaten, for the gospel and glory of God.

God promises that we will never be given to suffer anything that is above what we are able to bear; and with every temptation God makes a way to escape.

Every Christian better write this Scripture on the fleshly tables of their heart, because we never know what the future holds.  We live in a very volatile world.  It will get worse before we see better.

God walked on this earth.  Jesus faced every temptation and won our victory.  Though faith in Jesus to salvation we can bear it, we can escape any trouble, and we can claim victory in Jesus.

God Promises Eternal life

God promises eternal life to everyone who comes to Him and believes in Him.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22

Eternal life is freedom from sin and death.  Eternal life was promised by God before the world began (Titus 1:2; 1 John 2:25; 1 John 5:11).

The gift of God is salvation, which is eternal life, freely given by God to anyone who by faith believes in His Son, Jesus Christ for their eternal salvation.  God offers His give of salvation to all people.  Salvation frees anyone from sin and death.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Whosoever, everyone, anyone can receive the gift of God by faith.

God promises that everyone that asketh receiveth, he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. All people who seek God will find God, He hides from no one, His door is always open, God is always available and ready to welcome all who come to Him by faith.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:8

Everyone means everyone, no exclusions.  You do not need to be a particular race, ethnicity, nationality, all you must be is human.  You have no works or money that is acceptable to God in exchange for His eternal life, His salvation.   The salvation of God is free to all people who come to Him by faith that He is able to save them.

Anyone who calls on the name of Jesus will be saved (Romans 10:9-13).

Salvation is promised by God to anyone and everyone who believes Jesus died for their sins, and who believes that God can and will save them from sin and death.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Eternal life is available to all people, but all people do not choose to receive God's gift.  God promises to give anyone Eternal Life who ask to receive through faith in Jesus.  You must have faith that God can and will give you eternal life to receive His eternal life.

God Promises Kingdom Inheritance

God promises inheritance of the Kingdom of Heaven through faith in Him to salvation.

God not only wants to give us His salvation so that we can enter His Kingdom and live with Him for all eternity, but God wants to give us His Kingdom.

Through salvation, which is the gift of God, we are adopted into the family of God, we become the heirs of God through faith forever.

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. Psalm 37:18

By faith in Jesus Christ we become the children of God, and receive the inheritance of eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven (Luke 20:36).

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

The inheritance of the things of God are offered to anyone by the grace of God, through their faith in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:7).

Anyone who believes in God by Christ Jesus (1 Peter 1:21), will inherit the crown of life (James 1:12), eternal life (John 3:15), the salvation of their souls (1Peter 1:2-9).

Eternal life, the gift of God, salvation is conditional, we are NOT born with the salvation of God, we must ask for the salvation of God, we must choose salvation, we must believe in His Son to receive His salvation.

Eternal life is given to anyone who believes on the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ for their salvation.  The reason God wrote and gave us His Holy Word was so that we might believe on His Son, Jesus Christ, and receive His gift of eternal life, to be forever with Him in His Glorious Kingdom of Heaven.

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13

When we trust God by believing in Jesus for our salvation, when we ask Jesus to please come into our lives and become our Saviour and our Lord, we are given an understanding straight from God Himself, assurance that we may know Him Jesus that is true, and that we are in Him Jesus that is true, we believe in Jesus Christ, and we know without any shadow of doubt that Jesus is the true God and eternal life (1 John 5:20).

Please Note:  The promises you receive from God is based on your relationship with God.  Either you have chosen to believe in God for salvation, or you have not.  The choice of eternal life or eternal death is in your hands, you alone make the choice to come to God, you alone make the choice to have faith in God to salvation.  You must choose, no one can choose for you.

God promises you take nothing with you

You can't take it with you.   God promises all people that we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 1 Timothy 6:7

The things of this world are temporal, not eternal.  The things of this world that you think you own are nothing to be compared to the eternal treasures of the Kingdom of God.  Everything you think you own on this earth is nothing, will rust, will decay, will be sold, will be lost, will be destroyed, and will not be taken with you when you go.

Life is but a vapor (James 4:14), here one minute and gone the next.  We are not to place our trust and hope into material, earthly things that are temporary.

This is why God wants us to place our hope and trust in Him, in the things of God that hold permanence, that are eternal.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:19-21

What does GOD promise believers?

God promises believers things beyond our imaginations, wonderful, abundant things in this life and in the life to come.

God promises believers so many wonderful things eternal life, eternal comfort, eternal joy, eternal peace, and eternal love.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

God Promises Believers His Love

There is no greater love than the love of God.  God is love and God gives His precious love to His children now and for all eternity.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Nothing is able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

God Promises Believers Eternal Life

God promises eternal life to all people who believe in Him.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:17

God promises that we will abide forever, live forever, live for eternity if we do His will, if we obtain salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23:6

Eternal life, everlasting life with God in His Kingdom is promises to believers - only the faithful, those who have faith in God to salvation and only those who have chosen to make Jesus their personal Lord and Savior over all their life.

God Promises Believers Return

God promises to return for His faithful children.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:3

God did not have to promise to come again, but He did.  God loves us so much that He chose to come to us, to come get us, to come bring Himself to us, to come bring us to Himself.  God could have had all of us just appear in Heaven, but He choose to come get us purposely , to come and get us personally.  The grace and love of God is beyond our realm of comprehension.  This is a beautiful expression of God's love toward us, the love He shows in the details, in the miracles that He does for us.

God sees our thoughts, God sees the desires of our heart, God desires to show us His love in ways we do not even understand.

God Promises Believers will be Raised Up at the last day

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44

Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:54

Every person who places their faith and trust in God to save them from sin and death will be raised up by God at the last day.  Believers have a future with God and God promises to raise us all up to be with Him forever.

God Promises Believers Life With Him Forever

God promises His faithful children will be with Him forever.  Believers are not just promised eternal life, but eternal life with God.  Believers will ever be with the Lord.

God desires to be with us personally.  The relationship you have on this earth with God will be the beginning of your relationship with the Lord when we see Him face to face in Heaven.

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17

At the end of our faith, when we receive the salvation of our souls, when we see Jesus face to face, when we begin eternal life, we will be with the LORD forever.   We will never be separated from the Lord for all of eternity.  There will never be a moment in eternity that we are NOT with the Lord - so shall we ever be with the Lord.

In glory, in the Kingdom of God, when I go to Heaven (after I die or at the rapture, whichever happens first), when I see Jesus face to face, when I see the glory and majesty of GOD, I will be with the Lord and He will be with Me forever, for all eternity I will never ever be separated from my Lord God.  I cannot wait!  How glorious!  How wondrous!  When I see my Lord Jesus face to face, I will see Him forever more!

A Song of degrees. They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. Psalm 125:1

God Promises Believers the Crown of Life

God promises those who love Him the crown of life.  God promises the faithful in Christ Jesus who love Him will receive the crown of life.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord that promised to them that love him. James 1:12

There is only one who is worthy of a crown in Glory, Jesus Christ our Lord.  I do believe we will all cast our crowns as His feet, the Lamb who was slain and gave His life for us, so that we could spend eternity in the Paradise of God's Heavenly Glory.

God Promises NOT to Fail or Forsake Believers

How many times have people failed you? How many times have people promised to be there for you, but have abandoned you?

Man will fail you, but God will never fail you, forsake you  or abandon you.

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:10

You are NEVER ALONE WHEN YOU HAVE GOD.

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. Psalm 94:14

God Promises Believers Refuge

Our eternal God is our refuge.

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. Deuteronomy 33:27

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 62:8

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psalm 91:2

When no one else understands or seems to care, God does.  Believers have a refuge, a place to run, in times of trouble, in times of pain, in times of loneliness.

God is my refuge.  I can run to Him, and He will comfort me and heal me.  God is always there for me and always cares for me.

God Promises Believers Help

God is our helper.  We all need help in this life.  God is our helper in any situation with any difficulty, God can and will help me.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Hebrews 13:6

God Promises to Shield Believers

God is the believer's help and shield.  A buckler is a shield.   God is our buckler and shield.  God protects us from harm.  God shields us all throughout our lives.  Some times we know when He has shielded us, but many times we do not.  God never sleeps, God is never far away from us.  God is always watching and protecting His own.

Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11

As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Psalm 18:30

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. 2 Samuel 22:31

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Psalm 91:4

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Proverbs 30:5

God Promises Believers Comfort

God promises believers comfort.  God gives His children comfort.  Some people may give us a hug or listen to us, but God goes deeper, because God can comfort our soul, God comforts our hearts.  The comfort of God goes deep into our soul, into our spirit, into our heart, giving us the ultimate comfort.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. Psalm 94:19

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17

God Promises Believers Long Life

God promises believers eternal life in the world to come and long life on this earth.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-3

God Promises Believers Goodness and Mercy

Believers receive eternal life with God after we pass from this earth, but God also gives us blessings on this earth, while we are living here on this earth.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23:6

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Psalm 32:10

Our home, our dwelling place is with the LORD, here and in the world to come.  When we stay focused on our true house, our permanent habitat, our eternal home, we will receive the blessings of the Lord today, in this world and in the world to come.

God Promises Believers His Blessings

God promises His children blessings.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he that chosen for his own inheritance. Psalm 33:12

God desires to bless His children.  God plans to bless us all the days of our lives.  The blessings of God are not limited to God, but are limited to us.  We alone limit the blessings of God in our lives.

God promises believers ALL spiritual blessings.  Believers have unlimited blessings in Christ Jesus.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:3

All believers are blessed by God.  The blessings of God manifest in your life depend on your obedience to God.  The more you trust God and place your faith in His hands and do what He says to do with your life, the more blessings will be manifest in your life.  We serve a living God and we serve a active, doing God.  God expects every believer to do His word.  We activate our faith, we switch on the flow of blessings from God when we do what He says in His Word.  Faith without works is dead (James 2:26).  Believers, the children of God, the household of God, are all believers who hear the word of God and do it (Luke 2:5).

By placing our complete trust in God we are assured that we will receive all the blessing God has for us in this life.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. Psalm 2:12

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalm 34:8

Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Psalm 40:4

O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. Psalm 84:12

God Promises His Hand upon Believers

God’s hand is upon them that seek him.

For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen and help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him. Ezra 8:22

God knows personally every one of His own.  We are all the children of God through faith in Jesus (Galatians 3:26).  God personally watches out for us, He keeps us safe and from harm, the very hand of God is on every believer.

God Promises Believers Happiness

Happiness is promised to all believers.   Happy is that people whose God is the LORD!

Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD. Psalm 114:15

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: Psalm 146:5

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Proverbs 3:13

He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he. Proverbs 16:20

Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. Proverbs 28:14

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. John 13:17

But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 1 Peter 3:14

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 1 Peter 4:14

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. James 5:11

Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places. Deuteronomy 33:29

Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom. 2 Chronicles 9:7

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: Job 5:17

If you are a believer and you are not happy, do not blame God.  God gifts all believers happiness, if you are not happy, it is your doing.   We must accept the blessings and gifts of God.  We must do the work of salvation to reap the blessings of salvation (Philippians 2:12).

God Promises Believers Joy

God promises everlasting joy to believers.  The joy given to us through faith in Christ Jesus, God promises that NO MAN can take it away, as long as we abide in Him.

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. John 16:22

The joy of the world is not genuine and is not everlasting.  The everlasting joy of God is received only by God, through faith in God (John 17:13; Romans 5:11).

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13

The essence of God is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance (Galatians 5:22-23).

God desires us to have joy (Acts 2:28).

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17

God Promises Believers His Divine Nature

Partakers of the divine nature is promised by God to all His followers.  This promise is another definition of the grace of God, as we do not deserve such a blessing, such a promise.

Please prayerfully read the following Scripture (2 Peter 1:4-11).  Allow this truth, this promise of God to absorb completely into your heart.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:4-11

As believers of the Most High God, we are not kept outside of the Holy of Holies, but we are allowed to touch the presence of God.  As believers we are adopted into the family of God and given access to personally fellowship with our precious King.

God gives all believers unlimited access to Himself.   God allows us, grants us permission, gifts us the privilege and right to be partakers of the divine nature, His divine nature.   This is truly an ultimate, incredible and precious gift.

God opens up Himself to us and allows all believers to be partakers of the divine nature.  God allows us to take part in His divine nature.  By faith and though obedience to God and His word, by putting on His righteousness, by putting on Christ we can become partakers of the divine nature.

By allowing believers to be partakers of the divine nature, God allows us closeness with Him, God allows us to personalize our relationship with Him.  God desires interaction with each of us.  God desires to be active in our lives.   God desires to interact with us in everything that we do, every day.  God desires to help us, comfort us, live with us, actively sharing our love, our lives.

We should thank God every day for His great and precious promises.  We should thank God every day for allowing us to be partakers of the divine nature.

Prayer thanking GOD for His great and precious promises:

Dear Heavenly Father,  Thank you for being the God of great and precious promisesI love you!  I am so blessed to be chosen to be part of your family.  Thank you Lord for adopting me into your heavenly family.  Thank you for your precious gift of salvation.   Help me increase in faith and love.  Lord help me share your love with this hurting world.  Thank you, thank you for gifting me with the honor and privilege of being partakers of your divine nature.  I pray that I never lose sight of how precious you are and how gracious your gifts are for me.  To GOD be the glory for ever and ever. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

God Promises Believers Knowledge

God promises believers understanding and knowledge of Himself.  Over and over Scripture describes as unbelievers being without.  We people choose to reject the cross of Jesus, they reject the ability to understand the things of God.

Believers are given knowledge from God Himself to understand the mysteries of the Scriptures and the deep things of God.

Unbelievers will never understand the deep things of God because they are without God.

When believers turn from their sin and turn to God, when we step out in faith and let go of sin and take hold of Christ Jesus, the veil of sin is taken away and we can see clearly who God is and why and how He is God.

Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. 2 Corinthians 3:16

God promises everyone knowledge and understanding of His ways when our heart turns to Christ.  The lost, the unbelieving cannot understand the full truth of God because their minds are blinded by sin.  Through salvation, Christ removes the veil, the blind covering over our heart, so that we can see the full truth of God in Christ Jesus.

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.  But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.  Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. 2 Corinthians 3:14-16

When it, my heart, shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away, by God, and I will be shown the truth of God, in all His glory and wonder.

The wisdom to understand the things of God are given by God to all His children.  We become the children of God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ to salvation (Galatians 3:26).

God Promises to Hear Believers

God promises to hear the prayers of His children.  God not only promises to hear the believer's cry, but to deliver them out of ALL their troubles.

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

God Promises Believers Deliverance

God promises to hear our cry and deliver us out of ALL troubles.  We serve a God of action.  God will not just idly sit by and just hear our cries, but God promises to deliver us out of ALL our troubles.

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

If you are a believer, God promises to deliver you out of ALL your troubles.  Believers must place their faith and trust in God that He can and will deliver on all of His promises and deliver them out of ALL their troubles.

We must remember that God sees the beginning from the end and our timetable is not His.  God answers all the prayers of His children.   Sometimes we must be patient and wait on God.  God alone has perfect timing to all our needs.  God knows what is best for us and He knows when it is the perfect time to deliver us out of ALL of our troubles.  Many times we must pray for patience to wait on the Lord.

God Promises Believers Perfect Peace

God promises not just peace, but perfect peace.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3

God Promises Believers Safety

God keeps us safe.

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice:  Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. Psalm 5:11

Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. Psalm 17:7

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Psalm 37:3

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. 2 Samuel 22:3

God Promises Believers No Fear

Believers have been set free of fear.  Believers have God, we trust in God and we will not fear anything.  Nothing in this world can truly harm a believer, because we have placed our trust in Almighty God.

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Psalm 56:3

In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Psalm 56:4

In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Psalm 56:11

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. Psalm 112:7

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2

God Promises Believers Strength

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:2

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:4

God Promises to Keep Believers

Believers are in the hands of God for safe keeping.  God keeps the soul of every believer.  God preserves the souls of every believer who trusts Him.

O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. Psalm 25:20

Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Psalm 86:2

God Promises Believers shall not slide

Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. Psalm 26:1

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. Psalm 37:31

God Promises Believers the Desires of their heart

God promises to give believers the desires of their heart.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:4-5

God Promises Believers Prosperity

He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. Proverbs 28:25

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. Job 36:11

What does GOD promise unbelievers?

If you are unsure if you are a believer or unbeliever, based on the word of God, see What is the difference between a believer and an unbeliever? located on this page.

God has promises for all people and God has specific promises for believers and specific promises for unbelievers.  These promises are found in His Scriptures.

God promises all unbelievers that they will die in their sin

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

The opposite of eternal life is eternal death.  Eternal death is separation from God for eternity.  No one on this earth knows what separation from God is like because we have always had God in our existence.

God is life, God is love, God is our joy, God is peace, God is mercy, God is comfort, God is hope, so separation from God is an eternity without any life, without any love, without any joy, without any peace, without any mercy, without any comfort, and without any hope.  A total loveless, empty existence and hopeless death, for eternity!!  I cannot comprehend why anyone would pursue such a horrible eternity.  The mere thought of an eternity without God is a unimaginable horror.

Unbelievers choose separation from God here on earth and will receive separation from God in eternity, IF they do not change and choose salvation.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

Hell is called the second death, because we die once here on earth and if we are unbelieving will face a second death in eternity, or eternal death.

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:17

There is NO HOPE for salvation after the unbeliever dies.  The decision for salvation must be made while we are alive.

When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. Proverbs 11:7

There is no salvation available from God after we die.  I realize that many religions preach this differently, that you are able to pray for the lost after they die and they may receive salvation, or that you can buy people out of hell, or purchase salvation for the dead, but these are false, fables of men, because they are not biblical.

The God of Light says that when the unbelieving die, so does his expectation, the hope of the unbelieving dies when they die.

The word of God states that "to perish" is to die without Him, receive eternal death, which is separation from God for eternity.

No one wants to perish, no one seeks to perish, to perish is to die without God.

To perish is described in the word of God as everlasting destruction, everlasting punishment, eternal damnation, everlasting fire, hell (Matthew 18:8, 25:41,46; 2 Thessalonians 1:9).

Eternal death is hard to even imagine, with our small, limited minds.  Human beings are governed by time, but God has no time.  God created time for mankind, God does not need time.  God is not bound by time or any limitations.  Heaven and eternity are beyond time.

As with everything that concerns us, God explains time in His Holy Word.  God says that one day in eternity is like a thousand days to us here on earth, AND a thousand days is like one day.  Time is infinite in eternity, never ending.  Time as we know it is irrelevant in eternity, meaningless, and will not be used.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8

God says in His word that our life, our existence, is but a vapor, nothing, shorter than a second in the whole reality of eternity (James 4:14).  What is our 90 years on this earth compared to tens thousand times ten thousands years of infinite time in eternity?

Our lifetime here on this earth is nothing compared to our real life when we reach our eternal home.

Unbelievers choose to be without God.  Unbelievers forsake God, turn their backs on God, don't need God in their lives.  Unbelievers abandon God.  Unbelievers forget God.  Unbelievers choose to be ungodly.  Unbelievers choose to be unrighteous.  God promises the ungodly will die.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1:6

God Promises Unbelievers will Perish

The wicked shall perish.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. Psalm 37:20

Remember God has a different definition of unbelievers than the world does.  God states that you are either for Him or for the world.  God states that the world, the sinfulness, wickedness, evil of the world is His enemy.

The believer separates Himself from the sin and lust of this world, because God is separate from the world.  No one can have it both ways, no one can live in sin every day and have a relationship with God.  God says that we can't be on both sides of the fence at the same time, we must choose a side, God or the world.

Unbelievers are the wicked in the eyes of God, because they have chosen the cares of this world over His everlasting love.

God Promises Liars shall perish

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish. Proverbs 19:9

God is truth (John 17:17).  God cannot lie (Titus 1:2).  God has no greater joy than to see His children abiding in truth (3 John 1:4).

Living in truth, abiding in truth is not optional with God.  Truth comes from God and deceit comes from satan.

The word of God states that satan is the father of all lies and people that lie are the devil's children.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

Do not lie is 9th in God's original 10 commandments, given to Moses. False witness is lies.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Exodus 20:16

Unbelievers refuse to believe the truth of God

Unbelievers choose to refuse God.  Every person has the same choice to come to God or to reject God.  Unbelievers choose to reject God, unbelievers refuse to believe the truth of God.

We are not born unbelieving, we are all born with free will.  When we reach the age of accountability, when we all hear the voice of God calling us to Him, then we use our free will to either choose to believe God or we choose to refuse God's call to Him.  When we choose to reject God, then we become unbelieving.  The moment we hear God's voice, calling us to Him, we exercise our free will and we all make a choice, this choice that we all make determines our eternity.

One either believes in God by faith to salvation, or one rejects the truth of God choosing a path different than the way of Christ.  Through faith in God to salvation one receives the knowledge of the truth of God, without salvation one remains in unbelief, the unbelieving cannot receive the knowledge of the truth of God, because they choose to reject it.

Unbelievers have not come to the knowledge of the truth of God.  The truth of God is found in His Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:6).  The knowledge of the truth is salvation by faith in Jesus Christ.  The truth of God sets us free from sin and death (John 8:32).

God does not want any human being to perish, die without receiving His salvation.  The desire of God, the will of God, is for all people everywhere to come the knowledge of the truth and be saved (1 Timothy 2:4).

Obeying the truth of God, coming to the knowledge of the truth, is realizing that God is all He says that He is in His word.  Coming to the knowledge of the truth of God is to receive His salvation, we must believe His Son, Jesus Christ, shed His blood for our sins on His cross, died and rose from His grave to new life and lives forever more.  When we believe in Jesus, we too can receive the salvation of God and eternal life from Jesus Christ.   Jesus Christ is the truth of God.  Believers hear the truth and believe the truth.  Everyone that hears the voice of Jesus is of the truth of God (John 18:37).

The unbelievers reject the truth of God, and choose to believe a lie.  God is against all who hold the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18).  The unbelieving believe their own lies or lies of other men, over the truth in the word of God (Romans 1:15).   The unbelieving trade the truth of God for a lie, believing bad is good and good is bad.

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:10

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

Only One God holds the truth.   Only One God can save you from sin and death.  Only One God loves you enough to lay down His own life so you could be saved.  Only One God can give you eternal life.

God Promises that Corruption shall inherit Corruption

Eternal life in the Kingdom of God is inherited by believers of Christ Jesus, who chose to put on the incorruption of Christ, which is to accept the free gift of God, His eternal salvation.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 1 Corinthians 15:50

Too many people believe that it doesn't matter how they live their life, they have deceived themselves into believing that they can live unrighteous, immoral lives but in the end be taken to Heaven with the righteous, even though there is no Scripture to support their beliefs.

The Word of God clearly states that what you sow you will reap, if you live a life of sin and immorality that is the eternity you will inherit - corruption cannot inherit incorruption.  The life you live in this life will mirror the life you live in the world to come.  No one who lives in sin all their life here on earth will spend eternity with God.

If you are not abiding in Christ in this world, you will not abide in Christ in the world to come.

The relationship you have with Jesus in this life will be the relationship you have with Him in eternity.  If you are living without Christ Jesus in this life, you will be without Christ Jesus in eternity.  If you live apart from God in this life, you will be apart from God in eternity.  Do not think for a minute that you will automatically be granted eternity with God after you die just because you said a few words one day long past in some religious setting.

Do not be deceived.  A life lived in corruption will inherit corruption, which is an eternity without God, separation from God for all eternity.   Eternity without God is described in the Word of God as outer darkness, no light, no communication, no life, no companions, complete isolation, complete emptiness, completely alone, void of everything, never seeing anything, no love, no hope, nothing.

No one who continues in sin will see God.  Salvation is receive by all who repent of sin, turn from their sin and turn to God.  We either choose to live in sin or we choose to live in Jesus, this separates the believing from the unbelieving, the saved from the lost.

God Promises He will NOT help evil doers

Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers: Job 8:20

God never partners with evil doers.  If you are doing evil you are without God.  God cannot sin and never partners Himself with evil doers.

The Scriptures tell us that we are to avoid even the appearance of evil.  If something even looks evil we are to have no part in it.  This is why it is so important to avoid all filthiness, evil, anything against or opposed to God and His word.  This includes television, movies, books, internet, speech, photos, dress, language, hobbies, recreation, lifestyle, clubs, entertainment, how we use our free time.

Believers are part of this unbelieving world for the time being.  We must guard our hearts and be aware who we associate ourselves with, we are in this world but we must be careful not to become part of the immorality of this world.  Be very careful when you associate with evil doers, that you are not guilty of their sin.  The unbelieving have a different set of morality and values that are apart from God and His word, be careful not to be swayed by their thinking and values.

God promises not to help evil doers, this Scripture does not mean that there is no hope for evil doers.   God will always help anyone who comes to Him in repentance, in faith to change.  Evil doers who turn from their evil ways can receive the salvation of God.   Anyone who turns from sin to God can receive the salvation of God.  Anyone who turns from evil to God and believes in God for their salvation can receive eternal life.  This Scripture is for the evil doers who have chosen their own path apart from God, evil doers who have chosen to reject God.  God sees inside our hearts, God knows our true thoughts.  God knows if we have a true repentant heart, and He will always accept anyone who comes to Him in faith to salvation.

God has promises for all people and God has specific promises for believers and specific promises for unbelievers.  These promises are found in His Scriptures.

God Promises are Relational

The God promises that you receive depend on your relationship with God.

The God Promises that you receive are dependent upon your relationship with GodEvery person has a relationship with God.  We either have a relationship with God or we don't.   We are either with God or we are without God.  We have either chosen to place our faith in Him for salvation or we haven't.  The salvation of God is given to all people who come to Him in faith that He can and will save them from sin and death.

If we are without God in this life, then we will be without God in eternity.  If we have a relationship with God in this life, then we will be with God in eternity.

God promises to give anyone a relationship with Him who chooses to come to Him (Isaiah 45:22), believe in Him, believe that He is God (Hebrews 11:6) and accept His free gift of salvation (Ephesians 2:8), salvation over sin and death by repenting of their sin (1 John 1:9).

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

Faith in God to salvation defines your relationship with God.  Based on your relationship with God determines which of the promises of God that you will receive, either eternity with God or eternity without God.

The promises of God are not based on who you are but who God is.  Your decision to accept or reject God determines which promises of God you receive but does not restrict the promises of God from existing.  The promises of God exist whether or not you believe in them.  All the promises of God will be fulfilled whether or not you believe that they will or not.  The existence of God does not require your belief.   God exists whether or not you believe that He does.  The promises of God exist whether you believe that they do or not.  The existence of God is NOT dependent upon you, but your existence is dependent upon God.

Do not be deceived.  You will receive the promises of God whether you believe in God or not based on your relationship with God, as God has made this promise to all people.  Which promise you receive, life or death, is dependent upon your choice in this life, whether you choose to place your faith in God to salvation, or you don't.

Notice that salvation is not based on the fact that you believe that there is a God, but your faith in God for your personal salvation.

Even the devil knows and believes that there is but one God (James 2:19), but the devil refuses to place his faith in God for his salvation.  The devil chose to believe a long time ago that he didn't need the salvation of God.  The rejection of God, the rejection of believing in God for salvation separates the believing from the unbelieving.

God is faithful to ALL His promises.

All the promises of God are based upon our relationship with Him.

Even people who do not believe in God will receive His promises, because He is faithful that promised (Hebrews 10:23).  God is faithful to all His promises.  His faithfulness to His promises is not based on whether you believe, it is based on Himself, upon His faithfulness to His own Word.

You do not control whether or not you are affected by the promises of God, because you are not God, and you do not control His promises.

You will receive the promises of God, which promises you receive depends on you.

If you have the salvation of God through faith in Christ Jesus, you will receive the promises God made for believers, for His children, for the children of God.

If you do not have the salvation of God, you will receive the promises God made for unbelievers, for the children of disobedience.

1 John 3:10; Ephesians 2:2; 5:6; Colossians 3:6

God places before each of us a choice, which is life or death.  We each decide which one we will choose.  We choose to believe and trust in God, or we don't.  It truly is that simple.

God loves us and desires us to be where He created us to be, which is with Him for all eternity.

God desires that we choose Him, that we choose life, but God forces no one to choose HimGod says choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).

God allows each person to choose freely.  God gifts every human being free will.  Giving us the choice to choose to follow God, to love God, is God's perfect plan for all humanity.  God worked out His perfect plan before we were created.  Without God's perfect plan, of allowing us to choose for ourselves, we would just be human robots programmed, forced to follow God's will.  God is love and God created mankind so He could love us, give us love and receive our love.  God created us out of love to be loved by Him.

By allowing every person to choose for themselves, when we choose to love God and follow His will for our lives, we can freely receive the promises of God, because we freely give God the greatest gift we can give Him, which is ourselves.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

God loves us.  God loved us first.  God loved us before we loved Him.  God loved us so much that He laid down His life for us, He died in place of us for our sin, so that we could be reconciled to God forever, so we could live with Him in His love forever.

This is what the salvation of God is all about, loving God, not because what He has given to us but because of who He is, giving ourselves freely to God, giving our life completely to God, trusting and believing God is God and that He is able to do all He says in His word, believing that He will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, believing that He is able to save us from sin and death, believing that He loves us and cares for us, believing that He will never forsake us or leave us.  When we do this, believe in God, when we surrender all we have to God, then and only then can He freely give to us His salvation, His life, His eternal life.

In conclusion, God promises that we will reap what we sow, either righteousness to life, or sin to death

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7

The perfect plan of God is that every one have free will to choose Him.  God knows what plans He has toward us.  God desires the best for us, the best is that we come to Him by choice, our choice, freely.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

How do I receive GOD's promises for believers?

Believers of God, the saved in Christ Jesus, inherit the promises of God pertaining to life.

We are all saved the same way, by the grace of God through faith in God, faith that He is God, and faith that He can and will save us from sin and death.

Believers will inherit the promise of eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus.  Diligence to the full assurance of hope and enduring unto the end through faith and patience, insures our inheritance.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36

The promise of eternal life is received by everyone the same exact way, by grace through faith.  By the grace of God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, we receive the promise of God of everlasting life.

Nothing pertaining to eternal life is received of God except by faith, believing that God is all who He says He is, with unwavering faith and trust in Him and in all His Holy written word.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:35-36

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

By grace through faith we receive the promise of eternal life from God, nothing less and nothing more, this is the perfect law of God.

We receive the promises of God the Father through Christ Jesus, the Son of God.  We are given all things of God through Christ Jesus.  God the Father decided before the earth was formed, that humanity would receive all things pertaining to life from Him, through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, and this is still God's perfect plan.  The will of God never changes (James 1:17; Hebrews 13:8), it is constant and will remain constant throughout eternity.

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:25-30

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. Luke 10:21-22

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; John 13:3

All the promises of God are in Christ Jesus, we receive the promises of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:32,38-39

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. Romans 11:36

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

By salvation, through faith in Christ Jesus, we receive the promises of God pertaining to eternal life.  Salvation is the gift of God, given by God to all who choose to believe in His Son to salvation.

Through faith our eyes are open and our ears hear the word of God, and we can see the truth of God, that eternal life is in His Son.  This knowledge, truth of God is not seen by the lost (2 Timothy 3).

The will of God is that all people everywhere obtain salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.  God doesn't want mankind, who He lovingly created, to perish, to die, to live for eternity separated from Him; no, God created us to live with Him, to be with Him, to love Him and be loved by Him.  We were created for God's pleasure, so that He could give us all that He has, all His love and all His care.

Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 2 Timothy 2:10

And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Luke 10:23-24

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:9

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 1 John 2:25

By seeking God we receive the promises of God.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:31

By remaining separated from sin, being separated from sin and the evil world we receive the promises of God, because God is separate from sin, so are His children.  As the children of the Most High God, we are attached to Jesus, not attached to sin.

We are to be separated unto God, not sin.  We are to walk in righteousness, not in sin.  We are to be led and guided by God, not by lust and sin.  Remaining separated from the sin of this world is a daily battle that we must take on every day.  We are to daily take up our cross and follow Christ (Luke 9:23), denying sin and following the righteousness of God.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty 2 Corinthians 6:17-18

Through the salvation of God we are justified and sanctified, we are made holy through faith in Jesus and put on His righteous.  By perfecting holiness in the fear of God, we receive the promises of God.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1

By enduring in faith and saying no to temptation and sin, we receive the promises of God.  Living by faith is overcoming, because we are living from faith to faith (Romans 1:17), and not sin to sin.

Overcoming, living by faith, enduring in faith is NOT living in sin.  Enduring in faith, living by faith is living in righteousness to the will of God.  We are either overcome by God, or we are overcome by satan.  The word of God reads that we are servants of who we obey, either we obey and serve God, or we obey and serve satan, but we can't do both.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7

God never said in His Holy word that if we live for ourselves, if we live in sin, if we practice unrighteousness, if we willfully sin all the days of our lives that we will inherit His promises; NO God says "he that overcometh will inherit all things".

Heaven is promised to those who overcome, through faith in Christ.  We must purge sin from our lives, we must reject unrighteousness and sin in our lives to inherit the promises of God.  DO NOT BE DECEIVED by satan.  God says that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), all who practice sin will inherit death, which is separation from God for eternity.  God promises that we will reap what we sow, either life through righteousness, or death through sin.  The wages of sin is death, not eternal life with God.

We know through the word of God that we cannot hold onto sin and hold onto God, we must let go of one in order to hold onto the other.  God says no one is undecided, no one can comprise, we are either for God or against God (Luke 11:23), we either stand with God through faith in righteousness, or we stand with satan through the flesh in sin.

Jesus said, "He that is not with me is against me...". Luke 11:23.  Anyone against Christ Jesus, the enemy of God, will not spend eternity with God.

Enduring until the end, means saying no to temptation and sin, all the days of our lives.  Enduring until the end is holding onto faith in Jesus and letting go of sin in our lives.  As long as we hold onto sin in our lives, we cannot hold onto salvation.  We must let go of sin, in order to take hold of salvation, because God says that there is no other way (1 Corinthians 10:21).

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. 1 Corinthians 10:21

By remaining faithful we receive the promises of God

By placing all our faith and trust in God we receive the promises of God

By living righteously we receive the promises of God

By repenting of sin we receive the promises of God

By submitting ourselves completely to God, surrendering all of ourselves to Christ Jesus we receive the promises of God.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Romans 10:3

Self-righteousness is determining what is righteous for yourself, apart from what God says.  Self-righteousness is making up your own rules for salvation, God's will, who is saved and who is not, what is right and what is wrong.   Self-righteousness is believing and trusting in self, instead of believing and trusting in God.  Self-righteousness is replacing your truth for God's truth, replacing your ways for God's ways, replacing your opinion of living your life for God's plan for your life, replacing your views for God's views.

The only way we can receive the salvation of God is by rejecting our self-righteousness, everything about self and replacing it with Christ, denying self and replacing self with Christ.  We must through away our attachment to self, in order to attach to Christ.

By denying self, putting God first before ourselves, we receive the promises of God.  Denying self is a requirement by God to receive His promises.  We either deny self, or we deny God, we either place God first in our lives, or we place ourselves first, we either do what we want, or we do what God wants us to do.  No one can live for self, live in selfishness, live a self centered life and serve God.

Faith in God produces obedience and good works.  Works get no one into heaven, but good works are the product of faith in God.  Obedience to God and His Word is the product of loving God.  Believers obey God because we love God, not to receive anything from Him.  Believers do good works not to receive the gift of salvation, but because we already have.  Believers obey God because we can not do otherwise, believers cannot not obey God.

Abiding in Christ turns on obedience to God and His word.  Salvation turns on obedience to God because Christ is abiding inside of believers and we do as Christ does living in us, living out through us.

Your faith is showing.  Who you believe, what you believe in, who you trust, shows out through your actions, what you say and what you do in this life.  The salvation of God is shown out through the lives of believer's of Christ Jesus.  The just shall live by faith, from faith to faith, every day (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38).

When do Believers inherit GOD promises?

Believers, followers of Jesus, through faith and patience inherit the promises of eternal life.  God promises that after we have done the will of God - accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour - we receive the promise of eternal life.

Diligence to the full assurance of hope and enduring unto the end through faith and patience.

The faithful of God inherit the promises of God pertaining to life.  Eternal life is inherited by all believers of Christ Jesus.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

Believers receive the promise of eternal life at salvation, which is by the grace of God through faith in God.

Believers start eternal life the moment our spirit leaves our earthly body at death (2 Corinthians 5:8), or when we are caught up (1 Thessalonians 4:17) whichever comes first.

Everlasting life, eternal life in the presence of God happens when we see Jesus face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Revelation 22:4), when we receive the salvation of our souls at the end of our faith (1 Peter 1:9).  At the end of our faith we receive our prize, King Jesus, and we will forever be with the Lord.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:9

Our actual eternal life commences the moment we die (or at the rapture of the church whichever happens first).  Why? Because eternal life is never ending life.  We cannot have eternal life on this earth for two reasons: 1) because we are in our earthly bodies, which must be changed to live eternally (1 Corinthians 15:53); and 2) this earth as we know it will be destroyed and replaced by a new earth (Revelation 21:1).

God promises believers a heavenly body (1 Corinthians 15:49-53).  The body we have now on this earth, flesh and blood, is not equipped to last throughout eternity.  Our earthly body starts decaying the moment we are born, because it is earthly flesh and blood, and exposed to toxins and disease.  Our earthly, natural bodies need to be changed to become eternal, heavenly bodies.  This change will happen one day soon.  Our earthly bodies will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, to be fashioned like Jesus' heavenly body, able to endure for all of eternity.

When do believers receive eternal life?  Believers receive eternal life at conversion, when they acknowledge Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, when they by faith in Jesus accept the salvation of God, when they believe God alone saves them from sin and death, when they believe that God is all who He says that He is in His word.  All believers in God will endure until the end and will receive the end of their faith, the salvation of their souls, eternal life with God for all eternity.

One is either in faith or without faith, a believer or unbeliever.  An unbeliever chooses not to believe in God for their salvation.  Without faith in God to salvation you are an unbeliever.  Dead faith is unbelief.

Anyone without faith in God is an unbeliever.  Any believer who chooses not have faith in God is an unbeliever.  Any believer who casts off their faith is an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:12).  Any believer who forsakes God is an unbeliever (Isaiah 1:28), has left the faith.  Any believer who abandons their faith is an unbeliever.  Any believer who departs from the faith (1 Timothy 4:1) is an unbeliever.  Any believer who has left their first love (Revelation 2:4) is an unbeliever.

All unbelievers do not have eternal life (Revelation 21:8).  Any one without Christ is without eternal life (1 John 5:11; John 3:36; 6:47).  Do not think for a moment that you can live for sin, live any way you choose, live apart from Christ all your life, and when you die expect to live with God, as the Word of God reads it simply doesn't work that way.

Eternal life is given to all who by faith in God choose to receive the salvation of God and by faith remain attached to Jesus, the just shall live by faith all their life.  Eternal life is given to all who by faith in God choose to abide in Christ, who hold onto their faith in God, who endure until the end, who overcome, who remain in the faith until the end of their life.

When you die - you will either be holding on to your faith in Christ Jesus or holding on to something else, what you are holding onto at your death determines your eternity, whether you will spend eternity with God or without God.

The relationship you have personally with Christ Jesus at your death, determines your eternity.

When you die, if Jesus is your personal Lord and Savior, you will spend eternity with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven.

When you die, if Jesus is NOT your personal Lord and Savior, you will NOT spend eternity with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15-18

Eternal life is received at the end of your faith, at your death, when your spirit leaves your earthly body for eternity.  Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls (1 Peter 2:9).

Christianity is a lifestyle, the Christian life, the believer's life is a journey through this life toward eternal life with God. Faith in God, salvation, has a beginning, a middle, and an end.  Salvation is our life purpose of faith in God, our life journey of faith to God.  The purpose of salvation is to end with God.  We end with God by continuing our faith in God to salvation, to the end, to when we see God.

Believers never stop continuing in their faith in God to salvation.

Salvation is present and future tense, at the end of your faith you receive the salvation of your soul, this is why any past relationship with God will NOT guarantee a future relationship with God.

Faith in God is alive, faith in God is an active personal relationship with God today, tomorrow, forever.

Why does GOD promise believers suffering?

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12

Why does God promise that the children of God will suffer for following His Son, Jesus Christ?

The word of God is very clear and tells us repeatedly that all who are the called the children of God, every person that follows the ways of Christ, all those people who believe in the gospel of Christ, who believe in the word of God, all people who are saved will suffer.

Why are we, as believers, told we are to suffer?

The word of God reads we shall suffer persecution, because Christ Himself suffered.

We will suffer because Jesus suffered.

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 1 Peter 2:21

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 Peter 3:18

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 1 Peter 4:1-2

We suffer with Christ that we also may be glorified together.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:17

But we have the promise that all the sufferings here on earth cannot be compared to the glory which will be revealed to the children of God in the kingdom of Heaven.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10-11

And we have the promise from God that we will NOT receive any temptation that we are NOT able to bear.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

We know those who suffer for following Christ, partakers in His suffering, will also be partakers in His glory.

And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. 2 Corinthians 1:7

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:13

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:19

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:10

As believers, we have the Spirit of Christ and the fruit of the Spirit is longsuffering, enables us to endure suffering for Christ our Lord.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25

By believing in Christ we not only receive the gift of salvation, but we also receive the gift to suffer for Christ's sake.

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; Philippians 1:29

Believers know that there is not any suffering on this earth that can be compared to the glory which is to be received by those who endure until the end.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Philippians 3:7-11

Nothing compares to Christ.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

The children of God do NOT fear suffering.

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Revelation 2:10

But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:14-15

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. Luke 12:4

The children of God do not fear death, because we know we know the instant we die that we will be with our precious Lord and Saviour.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

As believers, we are not afraid of death, because we know that our God has power over death, Christ destroyed death, and those who believe in Him will NOT perish, but receive everlasting life.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:54-57

As Jesus Christ suffered and knew what was after His suffering, so do all the believers of Christ know that after our suffering, the joy that waits for us all at the end.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

How long will GOD keep His promises?

The promises of God are eternal promises.  God will keep all His promises forever.

God is eternal - without beginning and without end - and His promises are eternal.

To a thousand generations

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; Deuteronomy 7:9

A thousand generations is longer than the time we have on this earth.

God keeps His promises forever.  God is faithful in everything He says and does.  God will never forsake us, He will never forget us.  People will fail us because we are all just human beings, but God will never fail us.

The love and mercy of God endures forever, from everlasting to everlasting.

What can I do for GOD?

What can I do for God who gives me so many promises?

As a believer who loves Christ Jesus with all their heart, we wonder what we can possibly do for our Creator, our Lord God who owns all things in heaven and earth.

As a believer of the Most High God, what can I do for my God who has given me so much, what can I do for my God?

Perfect Holiness

Cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1

Can you define believer and unbeliever?

The defining difference between believer and unbeliever is the believer is with Christ and the unbeliever is without Christ.

What is the difference between a believer and an unbeliever?

The difference between a believer and an unbeliever is their choice of faith in God to salvation.  Faith in Jesus Christ to salvation separates a believer from an unbeliever.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

Believers are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus for their salvation.

The choice to believe in God to salvation must be made by each person.  One either believes that God is God and believes in His Word as truth or one doesn't.  One believes God to the salvation of their soul, or they don't.  One either gives their life to God or they don't.  The Scriptures say it best, God sets before every person life and death, we must choose blessing or cursing, God asks that we choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).

The believer

The believers chooses to place their faith in God for their salvation.

A believer has chosen Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Saviour over their life.

A believer has chosen to follow the ways of Christ Jesus all the days of their life.

A believer has chosen to accept the gift of God, which is salvation and eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus.

A believer has chosen eternal life with God.

A believer has turn away from the power of darkness in satan, to the power and light of Jesus.

And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.  To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Acts 26:15,18

A believer has turned away from sin, and turned to a life of righteousness though Christ Jesus.

But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. Ezekiel 33:19

The unbeliever

The unbeliever chooses NOT to place their faith in God for their salvation.

An unbeliever chooses not to believe in God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

An unbeliever chooses not to have faith in God and Jesus to save them from their sins and death.

An unbeliever chooses not to believe that God is the one and only Almighty Living God, Creator of all things.

An unbeliever chooses not to obey and believe the Word of God, the Holy Bible are the words of God, infallible, indisputable, truth of the Living God.

An unbeliever chooses not to believe God is all who He says He is in His word, as the revelation of God Himself to all mankind.

An unbeliever chooses not to believe in the divine triune of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

An unbeliever chooses not to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.

An unbeliever chooses not to accept the eternal existence of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, God the Father sending His Son to earth to be the eternal sacrifice for all the sins of all the people on the earth who believe in Him, the virgin birth of Jesus, the sinless life of Jesus, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on His cross, the shedding of His own blood so that our sins can be forgiven, His death on His cross, His resurrection from His grave to new life so we too can be resurrected into new life after we die here on earth, His new heavenly body, His ascension to Heaven from earth where He sits on the right hand side of God the Father, and His promise to return to earth one day soon.

An unbeliever chooses to follow their own way, instead of the way of God.

An unbeliever refuses, rejects, forsakes, forgets, and turns away from God.

Unbelievers are the unrighteous.

An unbeliever is any person who has not accepted the gift of salvation from God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.

An unbeliever is any person who has not repented of their sin, which is turned away from sin in their life.

An unbeliever is any person who has turned away from God, forsaken God, abandoned God, or rejected God, Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

An unbeliever is any person who does not believe in God, Jesus Christ, salvation, eternity in Heaven, and the word of God.

An unbeliever is any person who remains attached to unrighteousness.

An unbeliever is anyone who has forsaken, departed, turned away from, forgot the Lord God.

God defines unbelievers with many different words throughout His word.

God calls unbelievers: the unrighteous, workers of iniquity, enemies of God, those who say there is no god, evildoers, the wicked, the defiled, the cursed, the fearful, the abominable, haters of God, servants of sin, murderers, corrupt, whoremongers, the children of the devil, sorcerers, idolaters, liars, deceitful, fornicators, destitute of the truth, reprobates, hypocrites, slothful, the lost, and the unjust (2 Corinthians 6:14; Matthew 13:49; Revelation 21:8).

Some unbelievers may think that they are "good" in the eyes of God.  God says that no one is good and no one is good enough by themselves to enter His Kingdom of Heaven.  God says that we all have sinned (Romans 3:23; 5:12) and must be forgiven of all our sins (Acts 26:18).  The only one who can forgive our sins is Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:5-7; Colossians 1:13-14).  The only way to the salvation of God is through faith in Christ Jesus (John 14:6).

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

The plan of salvation was given to mankind by the grace of God, so that we might live joyfully, abundantly, in love and in peace in the fellowship of Christ Jesus, in the presence of God for eternity.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Salvation is the gift of God, given freely by God, to whosoever - any person - who believes in His Son, Jesus Christ to forgive all their sins and give them eternal life (Ephesians 2:8).

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21

The will of God is to obtain salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us so that we could live together with Him.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

God promises all people, whosoever believes in Jesus will not perish but receive eternal life (John 3:16).

Any unbeliever can change their spiritual status at any time, before they die, simply by believing in Christ Jesus to salvation, as long as they have not grieved the Holy Spirit to the point of no return.

But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. Ezekiel 33:19

God says that we are all appointed to die in our human bodies, and after our earthly death is the judgment of God (Hebrews 9:27).  The word of God reads that all flesh shall perish, and return to dust (Job 34:15).

Every person has an eternal destiny.  Every person will exist in one of the two eternities:

1.  Eternal life in Heaven with God.

- or -

2.  Eternal death separated from God for eternity in hell alone for eternity.

Every person that has died, will be resurrected bodily from their grave, to one of two destinations (John 5:29):

1.  Resurrection of Life

- or -

2.  Resurrection of damnation

All people who believe in Jesus Christ for salvation will receive everlasting life (John 11:25), and will receive the resurrection of Life, eternal life in the Kingdom of Christ Jesus forevermore.

God has promises for all people and God has specific promises for believers and specific promises for unbelievers.  These promises are found in His Scriptures.
