This is a Bible study on GOD's Relationship
with mankind.

Bible Study Guide.
Special Note: There is not enough room in the whole
world to write down the Glory of God, the Majesty of God, the Wonder of God, or
the Grace of God. No book or website in this world could contain all the
fullness of God. God is greater than anything we can imagine. Our meager attempt with this website is to share
and give people a
glimpse of God's Glory, endless love and compassion which God has reveled of
Himself through His word.
God is faithful, by whom ye were
called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9
For ye are all the children of
God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26 |
God created mankind so that He could have a relationship with
mankind.
Mankind was created for GOD
God is eternal. God is from everlasting.
Only God is eternal as nothing was before God. Mankind can inherit
eternal life but mankind is not eternal because we all have a beginning.
God is eternally complete. God is infinitely God without beginning and
without end. God is Alpha and Omega, beginning and end, first and last.
Before all things, before everything God was - In the beginning GOD
... (Genesis 1:1).
God did not make man to complete anything, including
Himself. God is infinitely self sufficient. God does not need man to
exist or to be completed in any way. Man needs God for everything, for
life and for every breathe we take.
So, if God was complete without mankind, why did He create
mankind? The answer is love. God is love (1 John 4:16).
God is love - but love is not God as nothing is God except God. God
created mankind out of His love - because of His love - and for
His love.
God from the beginning created the hosts of heaven, the
angels, the cherubim, and other living creatures of His Heavenly Kingdom.
God created mankind for the same purpose as He did all the other created beings,
for His good pleasure, for His will, for His purpose and for
His love.
Mankind was created for Relationship
Since the beginning with the first man and woman, mankind had
a purpose. God created mankind so that we might have a relationship with
Him. A loving relationship as purposed in the will of God, as in the
Father and His child.
It is the will of God that all people have a relationship with
God as Father. God does not force His Father and child relationship
on anyone - it is our choice. We must choose God to be our Father, we must
elect to become His child.
God places the choice before all mankind, to choose blessing
or cursing, to choose life or death. God asks us to choose life - His
life. Deuteronomy 30:19.
When we accept God's gift of love, eternal salvation, by faith
in Jesus, then and only then can be become His child and He becomes our Father.
For ye are all the children of
God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26 |
Mankind was created for Salvation
We become a child of God by believing in God. We are not
a child of God automatically at birth because we must choose to believe in God.
We are not a child of God by believing that there is a God, but by believing in
God to salvation.
Knowing there is a God is not knowing God personally.
Even satan, who chose to reject God's salvation, knows that there is a God.
The devil and his followers know that there is One true God, but they choose not
to believe in Him for the salvation of their souls.
As true followers of Christ, we are to seek God, but
did you know that God seeks you? The scriptures tell us that God
the Father in Heaven, seeks, is looking for true worshippers to
worship Him.
God the Father seeks true worshippers to worship Him
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true
worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-24 |
If you are a true worshipper of God the Father,
you are to worship him.
Can anyone have knowledge of God?
Yes, God said we can in His word.
God grants man the wisdom to know Him. Not that any man
can fully know all about God, but we are given a measure of the
knowledge of God through Christ Jesus.
Jesus said that if we know Him, that we also know His
Father in Heaven. Knowledge of the Father God is only through the Son of
God, Jesus Christ.
The will of God is for ALL people to know Him
through His Son. God wants ALL people, everyone that He created,
to know Him personally and continually without end.
Through the knowledge of God, we are saved from hell, and
granted eternal life by believing on His Son, Jesus Christ.
How can we know that we know God? By obeying God,
keeping His word, keeping ALL His commandments, we can KNOW without a doubt that
we KNOW HIM.
OBEY God
And hereby we do know that we know him,
if we keep his commandments. 1 John 2:3 But whoso keepeth his word,
in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1 John 2:5 |
Abide in God and walk as He walked
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to
walk,
even as he walked. 1 John 2:6 |
Do not know God
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his
commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4 Unto the pure all things are pure:
but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure;
but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
They profess that they know God;
but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every
good work reprobate. Titus 1:15-16 |
To know God is to love
God
And
we have known and believed
the love that God hath to us.
God is love;
and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God,
and God in him. 1 John 4:16 |
Love what God the Father loves
Love not the world, neither the things that
are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:15 |
To know God, you
must know Jesus
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?
He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:
(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
1 John 2:22-23 |
His Son, Jesus Christ
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 3:17
Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my
beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and
he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
Matthew 12:18
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud
overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is
my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Matthew 17:5
And there came a voice from heaven, saying,
Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mark 1:11
And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape
like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my
beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Luke 3:22
For he received from God the Father honour and
glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is
my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
2 Peter 1:17

All fulness dwells in Jesus
For it pleased the Father that in him
should all fulness dwell;
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile
all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or
things in heaven. Colossians 1:19-20 |
God gives all things to Christ.
Everything was created for Christ.
Good service and Praise
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of
praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to
his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices
God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:15-16 |
To bless Israel
And when Balaam saw that it pleased the
LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for
enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness. Numbers 24:1 |
When we ask not for ourselves, but ask for the will of God
And the speech pleased the Lord, that
Solomon had asked this thing.
And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked
for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked
the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern
judgment;
Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an
understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after
thee shall any arise like unto thee. 1 Kings 3:11-12 |
Those without faith
But without faith it is impossible to please
him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own
prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to
all men: 1 Thessalonians 2:15 |
Carnal man
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:
for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of
God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of
his. Romans 8:7-9 |
Those overthrown by satan
But with many of them God was not well
pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after
evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The
people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in
one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were
destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of
the destroyer.
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are
written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are
come.
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:5-12 |
This list was given to us so we can avoid these
sins, so we don't fall into these sins.
People who complain
And when the people complained, it
displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and
the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the
uttermost parts of the camp. Numbers 11:1 |
Keeping Children from the Lord
And they brought young children to him,
that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought
them.
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them,
Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for
of such is the kingdom of God.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a
little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Mark 10:13-16 |
LOVE.
We are to accept all the Love of God
God is love and wants to give us His love.
We are to accept His love for us. We are to put on the love of God like
clothing - wrap it around us every day.
Some people do not feel worthy of God's
love and reject His love. How sad for these people. When we become
the children of God, we become worthy of God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
God wants to shower us with His love, cover us
with His love.
God loves us more than anyone every has or ever
will. God's love will never leave us. Nothing can separate God's
love from us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 |
We cannot reach the limits to God's love.
There are no boundaries to God's love, we cannot step outside of God's love, if
we trust in God and walk the path that He has chosen for us.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O
God!
how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I
am still with thee. Psalm 139:17-18 |
God loves us so much that He thinks about
us all day and all night. The number of His thoughts of us are more in number
than the sand!!
More than the number of the sand!
Incredible! We can't even begin to think that many thoughts, but God
can, and He does and about US!
When we wake up in the morning, GOD is
thinking about US!! How wonderful is that!
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad
in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5 |
We are to Love God completely.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy
soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:5 |
God loved us first.
We love him, because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19 |
God wants our love. God loves us all. God wants us to love Him.
We are to love, worship and serve only One True God.
Thou shalt have no
other gods before me.
Exodus 20:3 |
There are not multiple gods, there is not a god of the earth,
and a separate sun god, or a god of this or that; there always was and always
will be ONLY ONE GOD.
And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven,
and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars,
even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath
divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. Deuteronomy 4:19 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either
the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
Deuteronomy 17:3 |
Today, as in biblical times, there are many people
worshiping
and serving other gods here and around the world.
God wanted to make it
crystal clear that we are to serve only one God, Him, the One True God who created
everything.
And if we choose not to obey Him there
were consequences for the
people back then, as well as for them today.
Be not deceived; God
is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:7 For thus said the LORD that created the heavens;
God himself that formed the earth and made it;
he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited:
I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:18 |
God wants us to seek the kingdom of heaven,
because if we seek Him, we will find Him.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doeth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly,
and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:15 |
Love the LORD thy God.
Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God,
and keep his charge,
and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments alway.
Deuteronomy 11:1
And it shall come to pass,
if ye shall hearken diligently unto
my commandments
which I command you this day,
to love the LORD your God,
and to
serve him with all you heart and with all your soul,
Deuteronomy 11:13
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I
command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to
cleave unto him;
Deuteronomy 11:22
And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart,
and the heart
of thy seed,
to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy
soul, that thou mayest live.
Deuteronomy 30:6
In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God,
to
walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his
judgments,
that thou mayest live and multiply:
and the LORD thy God shall bless
thee
in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Deuteronomy 30:16
That thou mayest love the LORD thy God,
and that thou mayest
obey his voice,
and that thou mayest cleave unto him:
for he is thy life, and
the length of thy days:
that thou mayest dwell in the land
which the LORD sware
unto thy fathers,
to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Deuteronomy 30:20
But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law,
which
Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to
walk in his ways,
and to keep his commandments,
and to cleave unto him,
and to
serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Joshua 22:5
Take good heed therefore unto yourselves,
that ye love the LORD
your God.
Joshua 23:11
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all
thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:37
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart,
and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength: this is the
first commandment.
Mark 12:30
|
Love everybody.
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God
with all
thy heart,
and with all thy soul,
and with all thy strength,
and with all thy
mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 10:27 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth
his brother,
is in darkness even unto now. 1 John 2:9 |
Trust in the
Lord
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Psalm 37:3 O Israel, trust thou in the LORD:
he is their help and
their shield. Psalm 115:9 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD:
he is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11 |
Believe and trust in the Lord God.
We are not to believe any man over God. We are
not to put our confidence, our trust in any person.
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in
man. Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in
princes. Psalm 118:9 Put not your trust in princes,
nor in the son of man, in whom there is no
help. Psalm 146:3 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
Proverbs 29:25 |
Make disciples of all nations
God wants us to find ALL His lost sheep.
God wants all His children to evangelize, share His gospel
with all the world.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world.
Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 |
Depend on God
God wants us to depend on Him for everything in our lives.
Commit thy way unto the LORD;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him
who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Psalm 37:5,7 |
God wants unity of His followers
And now I am no more in the world,
but these are in the world, and I come to thee.
Holy Father, keep through thine own name
those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
John 17:11 That they all may be one;
as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one in us:
that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:21 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them;
that they may be one, even as we are one:
John 17:22 |
God wants our fellowship
This is pretty amazing to me, God who created the universe,
who created everything
wants to have fellowship with me!
God wants to talk with me! Gods wants to be my
friend!
God is amazing! God who has fellowship
with the whole world and the hosts of the heavens, still wants to hear my voice!
God patiently waits for us until we have time to
talk with Him. He is always there, waiting on us, to give Him some time
out of our busy day.
God eagerly waits for us to speak with Him and tell Him
about our day, our joys and our sorrows, and waits for us to ask for His help in
our lives.
For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until
now;
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you
will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:5-6 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship
of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9 If we say that we have fellowship with him,
and walk in
darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 1 John 1:6 |
We can only have fellowship with God if we do not live in sin,
when we stay close to God, when we fellowship with Him.
Worshiping God alone is means to worship the one true living
God and not to worship anyone or anything else, to worship God exclusively.
To worship God alone, we mean to worship God and no other gods.
We are to worship the one true Godhead - God the Father, God
the Son and God the Holy Spirit, these three are one God.
God said we cannot worship Him along with anyone or
anything else. We are to worship God exclusively, from all else.
There is not enough time in this world to list all the reasons
that
we should worship God alone, but I will list a few.
The LORD He is God
The LORD He is God and there is none else beside Him.
This fact should be reason alone why we worship only the
one true living God, because He is the LORD GOD.
Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that
the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
Deuteronomy 4:35
Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart,
that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath:
there is none else.
Deuteronomy 4:39
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the
faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep
his commandments to a thousand generations;
Deuteronomy 7:9
And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did
melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for
the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
Joshua 2:11
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath
made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Psalm 100:3
That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is
God, and that there is none else.
1 Kings 8:60
|
He is the One True Living God
God is the ONE God. God is the TRUE God. God is
the LIVING God. He is the One True Living God.
And the scribe said unto him,
Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
And to love him with all the heart,
and with all the understanding, and with all the soul,
and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself,
is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. Mark 12:32-33 |
Even the devils know there is only One God.
Thou believest that there is one God;
thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 2:19 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments
is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mark 12:29 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God,
and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble,
and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Jeremiah 10:10 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in
we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols
to serve the living and true God;
1 Thessalonians 1:9 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us
an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is
true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
1 John 5:20 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because
we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men,
specially of those that believe. 1 Timothy 4:10 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God? Psalm 42:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the
LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Psalm 84:2 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because
we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of
those that believe. 1 Timothy 4:10 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil
heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. Hebrews 3:12 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the
living God. Hebrews 10:31 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living:
ye therefore do greatly err. Mark 12:27 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the
epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the
Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables
of the heart. 2 Corinthians 3:3 |
God is the Creator
God alone is the Creator of all things.
No one else can do what He alone can do. God alone
breathed life into us, no one else is life.
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God
with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and
earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
Acts 4:24
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that
he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he
giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
Acts 17:24-25
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and
power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were
created.
Revelation 4:11
|
Because we Love our Lord God
And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God,
which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt,
out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; Exodus 20:1-5 |
Because we love our God who created us in His own image, who
rescued us from the bondage of sin and death, He alone deserves all our praise
and worship.
God alone created us, loves us and cares for us, God alone
deserves our worship and honor. God wants to protect us and does not want
us to come to any harm.
The Lord is a jealous God, He alone created us and He alone is
who we should worship.
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a
jealous God: Exodus 34:14 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous
God. Deuteronomy 4:24 |
God was our Father from the beginning, and He is the only one
who created us and gave us life. No one else is worthy to claim His praise
and worship.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers
upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
Deuteronomy 5:9 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the
anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the
face of the earth. Deuteronomy 6:15 |
I worship God because He loves me
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon
us, that we should be called the sons of God:
therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God,
and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:
but we know that, when he shall appear,
we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:1-2 |
God calls me His child! It is not rational that
I should be called His child, because I am not at all worthy, but
through Christ Jesus, my King, I am made worthy in the sight of God
Almighty, by His miracle.
It is amazing to me, that I have inherited through
faith and trust in Christ Jesus, the Kingdom of God! That after I die
in this flesh, that my spirit and soul will be with my King, Jesus Christ my
Lord and Savior and Father God of all creation!
There is no one else I will ever worship than my Lord of
lords and King of kings, my Lord God Almighty! Halleluiah!! Praise
the Lord!! Jesus Christ is Lord!!
God died for our sins, so we could live.
We worship the only one true living God because through His
sacrifice, He gave us eternal life. Even though we did not deserve it, He
gave the ultimate sacrifice so we might live with Him, in His kingdom for
eternity.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down
his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 3:16
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but
to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Matthew 20:28
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the
world through him might be saved.
John 3:15-17
I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
John 10:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us
eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life;
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name
of the Son of God.
1 John 5:11-13
