This is a Bible study on JESUS' Return. Click here for a printable Bible Study Guide.
Please Note: The Scriptures tell us that there is not enough room in the whole universe to hold all books it would take to tell all about the life, the miracles, the wonder of Jesus.
No website can contain all of the wonder of Jesus, the work of Jesus, the miracles of Jesus. We answer questions in this website to ignite a fire in your own spirit to dig deeper in God's word, to encounter Jesus personally, to establish and grow a relationship with Jesus yourself by knowing more.
It is the purpose of this website to point everyone to Jesus, direct them to seek Jesus, encourage others to know Jesus, and to ultimately have a lasting saving relationship with the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the risen Christ, the Son of God - Christ Jesus our LORD.
Jesus is returning soon. Jesus promised to return in Scripture.
God cannot lie. The word of God does not lie. Every thing spoken by God in His world has been fulfilled, or will soon be fulfilled. God keeps all of His promises.
The word of God tells us that one day Jesus will return.
Some people falsely claim that Jesus has already returned.
Some people falsely claim that they are Jesus.
Let's look at what God says...
The return of Jesus
How do we know that Jesus will return to earth one day?
We know because God promised us the return of Jesus, and as we know, God has never and can never break his promises.
Jesus promised the He would return and gather all His followers, that are left, and take us all who believe in Him to be with Him forever in Heaven.
Over and over again in the Holy scriptures, the word of God, Jesus promises to return.
Why is Jesus' return called the Second Coming?
Because it is the second time Jesus came to earth.
Jesus has not returned yet, because I didn't see Him return. God tells us in His word, that every eye shall see Jesus when he returns.
How can everyone in the world see Jesus Christ's return? Simple, He is the God Almighty.
The disciples of Jesus asked Him what sign will there be of His return, His second coming, and the end of the world.
Jesus told His disciples to be prepared that no one deceives you, and that many people will show up, falsely claiming to be Him and even say that they are the Christ, and that many people who do not know the truth will believe them.
The word of God tells us in the last days, people will say, 'Hey come over here, the Christ is here' , but we are NOT to believe them, because they are false Christs and they will be everywhere.
Who will believe them? Well, the scriptures say - these false Christs will deceive the very elect. Believers of the true Christ are the very elect. (I find this scripture moving, because I am one of the elect.)
This tells me that in the last days, which we are living in right now, even we as believers should be extra careful and mindful to keep focused on the true Christ and fill ourselves with the word of God to give us strength and power, to overcome the lies and deception that are soon to come.
God tells us in His word that we are to GO NOT FORTH, that we are NOT to go and see the claims of these false Christs.
Don't go see the false Christs and do NOT believe any of it.
How do I know that Christ Jesus has NOT already returned?
I know that Christ Jesus has NOT already returned because I have not seen Him return, and I'm still here.
I know Christ Jesus has not returned because I know, as a true believer of the true Christ, the return of Christ will be spectacular with lightning and thunder and I personally will see this happen. The scriptures of God say that "every eye shall see" Christ's return in the Heavens.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, will come to earth the second time in the clouds of heaven with power and glory and every eye shall see him.
Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:7).
Believers watch for the coming of their Lord Jesus Christ.
Be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:8).
We can be unblameable in holiness before God at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ if we remain in Christ (1 Thessalonians 3:13).
If we step outside into this world and separate ourselves from Christ, if we abandon the truth of Christ for the lies of the world, then we are no longer abiding in Christ and we are no longer remaining unblameable in holiness.
Through the power of Christ Jesus, by remaining under His power, submitted to God, surrendered to Jesus, we can remain blameless until He returns.
We remain blameless by departing from sin, separating from sin and immoral ideals of the world. We are to align ourselves with Christ, not this world (2 Thessalonians 3:6; 1 Timothy 6:14; 1 John 2:16). We are to be in the world, but not of the world, just as Jesus (John 15:19; 17:14, 16).
Believers look up to the heavens for the Savior, our Lord Jesus is coming soon.
Our Hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 1:3; 2:19; 2 Thessalonians 2:16; 1 Timothy 1:1; 1 Peter 1:3).
Remain steadfast, steady, established in Christ, unmovable, not shaken, not troubled, remain strong in the Lord Jesus.
We are to be fruitful, produce good fruit, for the kingdom of God. We are able to be fruitful because of the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:8).
Maintain Good works
Believers of Jesus Christ have obligations and responsibilities to God. All believers serve God through Christ Jesus.
Works do not save anyone, but works are a product of genuine salvation. Because salvation is not obtained by works does not release us from obligations to God but allows us to serve and maintain good works that are acceptable to God (Matthew 5:16; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Timothy 6:18; 2 Timothy 3:17; Titus 2:7, 14, 3:8, 14; Hebrews 10:24; 1 Peter 2:12.
As we are God's children by faith in Christ Jesus, God gifts us His protection, His grace, His mercy and His salvation, but we are to keep ourselves in the love of God through abiding in Christ.
We are to keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life (Jude 1:21).
We are to guard our faith, renew our spirit, examining ourselves, keep ourselves away from sin (Psalm 37:27), do no evil, prove ourselves by the power of Jesus that is in us (2 Corinthians 13:5).
We are never to stop learning, growing in the faith, in the grace of Jesus, in the knowledge of Jesus, and in the love of God.
Share our testimony.
Believers of the Lord Jesus Christ share Jesus.
Though salvation we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Light of Jesus cannot be hid because He shines too bright. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven -Matthew 5:16.
We are to share what we know about Jesus, share what we have in Christ Jesus to this world. We are to go out and witness, give our testimony, let others see Jesus in us.
Jesus is returning.
Jesus is returning very soon. Are you ready?
You can get ready today by asking Jesus into your heart to be your personal Lord and Savior.
