For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ
Jesus.
Galatians 3:26

Congratulations!! To all who are saved by
God.
You have made the most important decision of your entire life.
Welcome to the family of God!!
But grow
in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye,
always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every
good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all
men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present
world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of
the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and
purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Titus 2:11-14
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same
one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:10-11 |
Please Note: This page is for the saved in Christ
Jesus, relating to the life we as faithful believers have after we are born again.
If you are NOT saved, please see first -
SALVATION
All the instructions for living in faith to God (salvation) is
found in His word. The Word of God is the greatest tool for new believers,
and for all believers. Answers to everything about God and about you are
found in the Word of God.
It is imperative to all believers to seek God every day, read
God's word every day, pray to God every day, praise God every day, worship God
every day, and fellowship with Jesus every day.
Many people are led to salvation, but they are never
instructed what happens after salvation.
Many people believe that salvation is the day one is saved,
the actual minute of conversion, a moment of time that they are saved.
Many people do nothing after salvation, because they
never knew that there is more after salvation, much, much more.
Many believers do not instruct new believers, because they
themselves do not know the will of God for the believer after salvation.
The Scriptures are very clear in the Word of God and gives us
all plain, easy to follow instructions, lessons from God Himself, as to what we
are to be doing after salvation.
There is more after salvation, much more that God wants us all
to know about. There are countless gifts and endless blessings that God
wants to give all of His children after salvation.
Salvation is a new beginning, a new life with God. Receiving the salvation of God is not an end, but a beginning.
Receiving the salvation of God is the beginning of life with God.
We are all born from the womb of our mothers. This is
our natural human birth.
When we receive the salvation of God we are spiritual born again,
by the Word of God, who is Jesus Christ, adopted into the family of God by the Holy
Spirit (1 Peter 1:23).
Salvation gives new life, and this new life, this new birth,
being born again is required by God, so that we can be reconciled to God,
so that we can enter and see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3).
New beginning means change, the old way is replaced with a new
way, a better way, Christ's way. The Scriptures tell us all that the old
man is passed away, forsaken and forgotten, so that the new man can live.
Our past sins, past transgressions, past iniquities against
God are forgiven when we ask for and accept the salvation of God through
faith and repentance (Psalm 103:12).
We must forget what is in the past,
in order to move forward in Christ. And we can forget the past through
Christ, with the power of Christ given to every faithful believer at conversion,
salvation. When we are born again into the Spirit of God, into the body of
Christ, into the family of God, we are given the power of God to change our
lives, power to conform our lives to Christ, power to follow Christ's ways, instead of our past sinful,
self centered ways.
Salvation is death and life. When we receive the
salvation of God we are dead with Christ.
Salvation is not a moment in time, the hour you are saved, but
salvation is our journey to God. The salvation journey
begins after you receive God's gift of love, the
gift of eternal life. The salvation journey is lived out every day of your life
until you receive the end of your faith, the eternal salvation of your soul
(1 Peter 1:9). The salvation journey ends when you see Jesus face to face.
Your salvation is
your life lived for God through Christ Jesus.
Salvation is eternal life. Salvation is life
lived through God, with God, in God, and for God.
Salvation is not one moment in time but eternal life, life lived out to God
every day of our lives.
Salvation is the gift of God, received from God
Himself, the Creator of all things. How wonderful
it is to be saved by God!
God promises to help us along our journey of salvation to Him,
to our final home, which He has prepared for us in Heaven.
The Scriptures teach us all that the first and greatest
commandment is to love the Lord God with all our hear, with all our soul, with
all our mind, and with all our strength (Mark 12:30).
Loving God is the desire of God's heart for all His creation.
God desires that we be where He created us to be, which is with Him for all
eternity. Why? So that He can love us for eternity. Love is
why we were created. We were created by God's love for God's love.
God gave every living person love. We are all born
searching for love, a love that only God Himself can fill. Nothing in this
world can fill the void in our hearts, only the love of God can complete us and
make us whole.
We are given the knowledge of God's love through salvation.
We will be given the full knowledge of God's love when we see Him one day face
to face.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to
face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is
charity.
1 Corinthians 13:12-13 |
The love of God is not the love found in this world, through
things of this world.
God is love (1 John 4:16).
When we receive the salvation of God we are given true understanding into the
depth of God's love.
Oh, how I love Jesus!
We show God exactly how much we love Him by what we do, by
keeping His Word, by obeying His commandments, by doing His word. We
obey God, not because we have to, not because we want something from Him, but
because we love Him with all our heart. 1 John 5:3
Loving God is our choice, before and after
salvation. God does not force anyone to love Him, or to stay in love with
Him.
We remain in the love of God, we remain in love with God, by
continuous fellowship with God, through daily prayer, worship, by seeking God
every day.
We remain in God's love by loving God today and every day (Jude
1:21).
God loves us and God desires that we love one another,
because God is love and we are His creation. God teaches us to love one
another (1 Thessalonians 4:9). If God so loved us, we ought to love one
another (1 John 4:11).
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I
have loved you.
John 15:12 |
We show God our love for Him by how we love each other (John
14:15). We give God joy when we love one another.
God is serious about loving one another. God says that
if we do not love one another, that we do not love Him. (1 John 3:15, 4:7, 20).
Love is not an option with God, because God is love. To
remove love from your life is to remove God from your life, because God is love.
We are to love one another, not as the world loves, but as God
loves, with a pure heart fervently (1 Peter 1:22). We are to love not with
words, but with actions (1 John 3:18).
Love has been God's message from the beginning of mankind,
that God loves us, and we should love Him, and that we should love one another
(1 John 3:11; 2 John 1:5).
After salvation we are to seek God. God promises to be
available to all His children 24/7 every day of the year. Morning, noon,
or night God is there. Where His children is, God is there.
God promises to be with us always. How wonderful and
amazing is our GOD! After salvation we are never alone, we are never
without God, that God Himself promises to be with us always.
God does not force us to seek Him. Seeking God is our
choice before salvation and after salvation.
The Scriptures tell us all that we are all to
work out our own salvation, our salvation is to be
worked out, used, every day of our lives by us, until we are with God
for eternity.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed,
not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:12 |
Salvation is alive through faith. We work out our own
salvation by living in faith to God every day, by loving God every day, seeking
God every day, pursuing the things of God, learning about God through prayer,
worship, and studying His Word every day.
Every child of God must participate in their salvation by
living in faith every day. We each must work out our own salvation.
Your mother, a religious leader, your church, your family, your spouse, your
child, no one can work out your salvation, except you - you must work out your
own salvation.
God instructs each of His children to work out their own
salvation.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from
faith to faith:
as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:17 |
The saved swim upstream in this life every day, always against
the current of the world, and if we stop swimming against the current, we will
drift back to where we were before.
Salvation gives us inheritance to the things of God, the
authority, the rights to enter into the Kingdom of God after our death here on
this earth.
We become the children of God through salvation, received by
the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26).
Becoming the children of God we are adopted into the family of
God through Christ Jesus. We become joint-heirs with Christ to all the
things of God and His Kingdom (Romans 8:17).
We must participate in our life with God. God never says
in His Word that we are to do nothing after we receive His gift of
eternal life. There are inherited duties attached to our
inheritance. These duties are not a burden, but are a privilege, gifted
only to those who have mercifully received the gift of God, the salvation of
Christ, those who are heirs of God, made the children of God through salvation.
...Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the
whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13
Fearing God is not being afraid of God, but is believing that
He is God and all that He says that He is in His word, accepting Him as supreme
authority over all things, acknowledging God as the One True Living Lord God,
knowing God alone is worthy of our praise and worship, knowing He alone holds
our life in His hands, and by His love, mercy and grace we are given the gift of
salvation, the privilege to love Him and live with Him for all eternity.
We must never forget the price that was paid by God Himself,
so that we could receive His salvation, so that we could be reconciled to God,
and receive eternal life with Him.
The act of salvation is a miracle. When the children of
God die, we will pass from death to life! We will be taken
immediately to Jesus, and there we will be forever with the LORD!
Every day we should thank God for His gift of salvation.
We should never forget the price that was paid for us. The love of God, a
love so great and massive, an unspeakable love, an imaginable love, an endless
love, a love so powerful and wonderful that it includes every person ever
created, that through acceptance of this love, we, you and me, the whole world
could experience this great love of all time, and live in this love forever.
The Word of God is mankind's instruction book on life today
and in the world to come, eternity. God gave us His Book, His Word so that
we could know Him and learn from Him.
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were
written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4 |
You were given the gift of God, His gift of salvation to you
(Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8). As with all gifts from God, we are to take
care of them, guard them, by learning from God. True wisdom and knowledge
come only from God above (James 1:17, 3:17).
We learn from God through communication with Him, through
daily prayer, daily praise and worship, and through daily meditation and study of His Holy word.
We must earnestly seek God, in order to learn from God
(Deuteronomy 4:29; 1 Chronicles 16:10-11; Psalm 105:3).
God promises to always be available for us anytime of the day
or night that we call upon Him (Acts 17:27).
Salvation opens the door to the Kingdom of God, we must
embrace our new gift of God as the good stewards of Christ (1 Peter 4:10), we
have been chosen to become, follow through, never give up and complete our
journey to God.
Growing in Christ is our privilege as ambassadors of the Most
High God (2 Corinthians 5:20). The greatest honor is to be called a child
of God. Nothing is bigger than God, no one is more important in this world
than His children (1 John 4:4). We are the children of God through
faith in Christ Jesus!! Hallelujah!! Praise the Lord!!
(Galatians 3:26)
God has a specific and special plan laid out for each of us to complete,
during our human existence, here on this small planet (Jeremiah 29:11; 2
Corinthians 9:8).
By loving God today and every day, by seeking God and growing
in Christ and working out our own salvation (Philippians 2:12), devoting our
life to Him, God will love us and will reveal Himself to us (Romans 1:19).
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is
that loveth me:
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will
manifest myself to him.
John 14:21 |
We are never to stop learning from God. There is no one
on this planet who knows everything that there is to know about God, because His
ways are past finding out.
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned
and hast been assured of,
knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ
Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:14-17 |
Growing in the knowledge of God, learning God's way, and God's
will comes from God Himself. Yes, there are many good biblical teachers in
this world today, but there are many false teachers also. It is paramount
that we receive the core of our teaching, the majority of our learning from God
Himself. God is true and we can trust every one of His Words, given to us
through prayer and found throughout the Word of God.
God not only wants us to learn His ways, but to follow His
ways, by doing His Word.
Those things, which ye have both learned,
and received, and heard, and seen in me, do:
and the God of peace shall be with you.
Philippians 4:9 |
Salvation allows us to serve God. We become the
servants of God through salvation.
There are many ways that we serve God. We serve God by
loving Him and loving one another. We serve God by obeying and
doing His word. We serve God by serving others.
The children of God serve God. Being a servant of
God, serving God, is the privilege of all of God's faithful children.
God sees our heart, our motives of service. Our attitude
of service must be correct when serving the Lord. We do not serve the Lord
to be seen of others for our good deeds, to be well thought of by men, or to
receive acclamation from men or rewards, money or fame. We do not serve
the Lord to get something in return but out of our genuine love for
Jesus. We do not serve the Lord according to the law, but according to our
love for Christ. Service for God done for self promoting reasons will
receive their just reward.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord,
and not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye
serve the Lord Christ.
But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and
there is no respect of persons. Colossians 3:23-25 |
After we are saved, we are to continue in the faith and
through Christ we overcome temptation and sin. We are not to sin after
salvation.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not;
for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. 1 Corinthians 15:34 |
Christ Jesus paid the price for our salvation on His cross, so
that we might receive the gift of salvation from God and be set free from sin
and death (1 Corinthians 6:20, 7:23; Romans 6:18, 22).
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man:
how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is
the servant of sin.
And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 8:31-36 |
God never said that He removes sin from the lives of His
children. When we are saved, we do not automatically become immune to sin.
God says He will help believers overcome sin, but He never said He would remove
sin from our lives.
In fact, God tells us in His Word that we will be
tempted and that we will suffer (2 timothy 3:12), but that we are given
the power of God to overcome temptation and sin through Christ Jesus.
The power of God is greater than any other power anywhere. If we abide
in Christ and He abides in us, then we have the power of God in us to overcome
all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:
because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4 |
The power to overcome temptation and sin is not automatic
after salvation. God says that we must submit ourselves to Him before we
are given His power to overcome sin. The power of God is not given to
everyone. The power of God is not given to those who reject Jesus Christ,
who refuse to follow God's will, who forsake God and choose to live life their
own way.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:12 |
Submission to God is required to receive the protection,
promises, and power of God. We must humble ourselves before our Lord God,
seek Him, seek His wisdom, seek His ways, depart from sin and evil, and then we
will be able to resist sin (James 4:6-11).
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will
be his God, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 21:7 |
We must beware of temptation and sin, know how to avoid it at all costs.
After salvation we are to rejoice. Besides loving God, I
believe this area is forgotten about most after salvation.
We are all been around gloomy, sad Christians. Who would
want to have what they have? We do not serve a God of sadness but a God of
Joy and Wonder.
After salvation, we are to show the light of Christ inside of
us to the whole world. Jesus Christ is the Light of the world. When
we receive Christ through salvation, we are given His light. His light is
to shine through us, out into the world.
Joy and rejoicing is habit forming, the more you joy and
rejoice in the Lord, the more it will become intertwined into your personality
and daily life.
The children of God have so many blessings from God to be
joyous and rejoicing about. We have been saved, we have been forgiven, we
have been reconciled to God, we receive the blessings from the One True Jehovah
Lord God Almighty every day!
We are given the blessing of joy from God Himself! We
rejoice because we have Jesus abiding in us, walking with us every day! We
are guided, taught, and kept safe every day by the Holy Spirit!
We must live in faith to God on purpose every day, and we must
purposefully rejoice in the Lord every day! The more times we rejoice in
the Lord the more often we will not have to think about it, it will become
natural, and be part of our life, just like breathing. We must breathe to
stay alive, but we do not think about it every minute, we breathe without
thinking. This is the point, we must get to in our rejoicing, like
breathing.
The turning point in believer's lives is when we come to the
knowledge that it is all about Jesus. When we realize that it is
all about God, that God is enough, that we are nothing and the things of this
world hold little meaning and no real value, then we can let go of holding on to
the things of this earth, we realize that our joy is not based on things but on
Christ Jesus, then we can experience true joy, experience true rejoicing in the
Lord, we can turn off the world and turn on God in our hearts, in our mind, in
our souls, in every part of our lives.
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss
for Christ.
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung,
that I may win Christ,
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law,
but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God
by faith: Philippians 3:7-9 |
Life changes. We have many seasons in this life that we
must pass through, many difficult times, but it does not matter as long as we
have Jesus, for whatever season I am in, whatever state of life I am going
through, I have learned to be content, and rejoice in the Lord.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Philippians 4:11 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of
my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:18 |
After salvation, we are to hold on to God, hold onto our
salvation, hold onto our faith, hold onto Jesus.
Holding on, remaining in the faith, being stead fast requires
our participation. God warns us to be careful with our salvation, guard
our hearts, abide in Him.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ
hath made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:1 |
God did not force us to receive His gift of salvation and He
does not force us to remain. God does not chain us to His salvation.
God does not force us to fellowship with Him, to pray to Him,
to worship Him, to praise Him, to seek Him, to follow Him, to learn His Word, to
do His will, to obey Him, or to do His word.
Salvation is a choice every person must make for themselves.
How we live after salvation is a choice every believer must make for
themselves, also.
God will not force sanctification upon us, we must choose to
remain holy, because He is holy.
There are consequences for all of our decisions, based on the
Word of God.
After salvation, we are to wait on the Lord.
Praise the Lord! That we are
given patience by God Himself to wait, as long as we abide in Christ.
No one likes to wait for anything or anyone. Human
beings are born demanding attention now.
The children of God are to wait upon the Lord for His
blessings, for renewed strength to persevere in our walk with Him.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their
strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall
strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14 |
The children of God are given instruction to wait.
Before making a decision in this life, we are to ask God's will for it and wait
on His answer.
God asked us to wait for our benefit, so that we come
behind in no gift (1 Corinthians 1:7).
Waiting on the Lord, was created and designed by God for our
benefit, to help us and keep us out of trouble, and prevent unneeded pain and
suffering. How many times would we have avoided heartache and pain, if we
had just waited on God to direct our paths, instead of doing things our own way.
I can think of many times in my life, when I should have waited on the Lord.
The children of God are waiting for Christ, who promised to
come again. Jesus said, "I will come again, and receive you unto
myself; that where I am, there ye may be also". (John 14:3). And Jesus
promises to come quickly (Revelation 22:20).
The children of God are waiting and watching, because no one
knows when Jesus will come again (Matthew 24:42, 25:13).
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man,
no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Mark 13:32-33 |
Salvation is NOT an end - but a beginning.
Salvation is the beginning of life, abundant life, eternal life.
Salvation is the beginning of your new life in Christ Jesus.
Through salvation you are born again.
Your journey to heaven does not end at salvation, but just begins.
Salvation is your first step toward your eternity,
your eternal life with the Creator, your God, your Lord and Saviour, Jesus
Christ.
Salvation is your first step of faith, walking in the
Spirit of God for the rest of your life and beyond, throughout eternity, which
is never ending, without end.
Salvation is not temporary, salvation is eternal.
Salvation is for eternity.
The moment you receive the free gift from God of
salvation, is the same moment you receive eternal life.
Eternal life does not happen after you die.
Salvation, eternal life happens the moment you accept Jesus Christ into your
heart as your personal Lord and Saviour over your life.
Salvation is eternal life. Your eternal life with
God begins the day you accept salvation.
Too many people stop after salvation. They think
that since they are saved, that's all they are required to do by God,
which is very wrong.
Salvation is the very beginning of life.
The word of God tells us that receiving salvation is just the beginning
of our life with God.
The word of God tells us we must work out our own
salvation.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed,
not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:12 |
We only receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ
by the grace of Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8 |
Salvation faith is the key - to the door of Jesus Christ - though
which we enter into the
kingdom of God.
Now that we have unlocked the door, through our faith in
Jesus, to the kingdom of God, we
need to walk through the door and start our journey toward our eternal life in
heaven.
A lot of people receive salvation, unlock their door and
just
sit down. You can't get anywhere by sitting down!! Get up!!
It is NOT God's plan for our life to stop, after we
receive His gift of love, which is the gift of eternal life, which is salvation. God doesn't want us to just sit down.
God wants us to get busy, start living!
God says, don't stop after salvation. Salvation is just the
beginning.
So many believers miss out on what it really means
to be saved, to be a follower of Christ, to
receive eternal life.
So many believers never receive all the gifts from God, because they
stop after
salvation and never follow after Jesus.
God wants to give special gifts to all of His children.
God wants to love us and God wants to give to us so many
things.
God wants believers to:
- Love Him
- Take the narrow path to righteousness
- Follow Christ and Walk in His ways
- Grow in our Faith
- Receive ALL the gifts of God
- Endure until the end
- Receive our prize, our rewards, our crown of life,
in the kingdom of God
Love God, Love everyone,
Live in Love
Love is the way to God because God is love.
He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his
only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and
sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
1 John 4:8-11 |
Love is the first step toward the kingdom of God.
Love is NOT an option with God.
Without love - God cannot know you, and you
cannot know God without love.
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength;
this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:30 |

LOVE
Choose the narrow path
The wide gate and broad road is the way of the world,
the road to hell.
The way of the world is following the lusts of the flesh, following the
sinful ways of the world, living
in sin and unrighteousness.
Following the ways of the world leads to separation
from God. We must follow the ways of Christ to enter into heaven.
The way of the world, wide gate and broad road,
this path leads to destruction and death and
separation from God.
The strait gate and narrow path is the
way to life, the way to righteousness
and leads to the kingdom of God and eternal life.
Enter ye in at the strait gate:
for wide is the gate,
and broad is the way,
that leadeth to destruction,
and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13-14 |
For more information on
choosing the right path see - CHOICES
Are you one of the few that found the strait
and narrow path and stay on the narrow path of righteousness to God?
Follow Jesus Christ
Follow Jesus and walk in His ways of righteousness.
In order to follow Christ, we must deny ourselves, we must put
away our selfish ways and look toward Jesus.
Salvation is denying our selfish sinful pleasures of the flesh
and putting on the righteousness of Christ Jesus.
Salvation is following the ways of Christ, not following our
ways.
Salvation is obeying the rules of God, not our own rules.
Salvation is saying YES to righteousness, and saying NO to
sin.
Salvation is living a holy and godly life, not a life of sin
and unrighteousness.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come
after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:24 And when he had called the people unto him
with his
disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me,
let him deny
himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:34 And he said to them all,
If any man will come after me,
let
him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23 And whosoever doth not bear his cross,
and come after me,
cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:27 |
Walk in His ways
God tells us time and time again in His scriptures that He
wants us to walk in His ways. And to do that we must get up
and follow Christ.
Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments
of the LORD thy
God,
to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
Deuteronomy 8:6 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God,
and to
walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes,
and his commandments, and his
judgments,
and to hearken unto his voice:
Deuteronomy 26:17 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself,
as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy
God,
and walk in his ways.
Deuteronomy 28:9 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God,
to walk in his ways,
and to keep his commandments
and his statutes and his
judgments,
that thou mayest live and multiply:
and the LORD thy God shall bless
thee
in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Deuteronomy 30:16 And keep the charge of the LORD thy God,
to walk in his
ways, to keep his statutes,
and his commandments, and his judgments,
and his
testimonies, and it is written in the law of Moses,
that thou mayest prosper in
all that thou doest,
and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: 1 Kings 2:3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
Psalm 119:3 |
To walk in the ways of Christ, means not to sin, to live the
way Christ lived, to be like Christ.
How can we walk in the ways of the Lord? We must study
the word of God to know how to live the will of God, in the ways of the Lord.
We must pray to learn the will of God. We must keep our focus on Jesus to
walk in the ways of the Lord.
When we are saved, when we believe in Jesus Christ, and we
ask
Jesus into our lives to be our Lord and Savior, something beautiful happens
inside
our heart and inside our soul.
Salvation is a heart condition, a heart transplant, salvation transforms
your heart.
A peace fills your soul and your heart is changed
forever with the love of God. It is a wonderful, amazing transformation.
Salvation changes people. Salvation turns us into a new person.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 |
The scriptures of God do NOT say that you might be
changed, God says YOU WILL BE CHANGED.
God says that ALL PEOPLE who receive salvation
become new creatures.
We are crucified with Christ
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;
yet not I, but Christ liveth
in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by the faith of the Son
of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 |
Salvation enables people to put on Christ, Christ lives
in believers, we live by faith in the Son of God, Jesus, who
loved us so much that He died, gave Himself for all of us.
Just as Christ was crucified on a cross, when we believe in
Jesus and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour over all of our life, we are also
crucified to sin. We die to sin and live IN Christ. We repent
of sin and put sin away from our lives and live for God and follow Jesus for the
rest of our lives.
Believers in Christ Jesus can have
assurance of their
salvation because they have:
- Confessed their sin
- Believe the Son of God is Jesus
Christ and only He can forgive all their sins
- Asked Jesus to forgive all their
sin and ask Jesus to come into their heart and to be their personal Lord and
Saviour over all of their life
- Repented (turned away from all sin) and follow Christ.
How do I know that I am saved? Because:
- I confessed that I am a sinner to God and need His forgiveness.
- I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth
from God
to be born in the flesh as man, suffer as man, crucified and died on a cross at Calvary for the sins of the world, for
my sins. By
the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, my sins are forgiven, redeemed
because I have faith in God and I put all my trust in Jesus Christ.
- I know that Jesus died and rose from the grave. And
since Jesus was resurrected so I will be resurrected into eternal life into
the kingdom of God one day.
- I ask Jesus Christ to forgive my sins and be my personal
Lord and Saviour. I surrender all my life to God.
- I turn from my sins, I repent with all my heart and promise
to follow in the ways of Christ for the rest of my life.
Salvation is confessing we are a sinner, believing
in Jesus Christ, having faith that Jesus Christ alone washes away our sins,
repenting from all sin, turning from our sins and turning to God, promising to follow Christ
for the rest of our lives, is denying ourselves to take up the cross of Christ
and follow Him.
Confessing, believing, repenting and following is the
assurance that you are saved, assurance of your salvation.
Christ Jesus sets us free from sin and death.
For more information see - Salvation ASSURANCE
The Spirit itself beareth witness
The Spirit of God assures our own spirit inside us, that we are
saved, that we are a child of God.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we
are the children of God:
Romans 8:16 |
Our spirit confirms our salvation.
Our spirit, that each saved, child of God has in them, assures
us of our salvation.
Our spirit speaks to us and tells us we are saved.
Unless you are born again, through faith in Christ Jesus, you
do NOT have the Spirit of God living inside of you.
When a person is saved:
- We become born-again, a new creature, a new
being, old things are passed away and all things become new, through Christ
Jesus
- We receive the Spirit of God, the Holy Ghost
- We walk in newness of life
- Eternal death is not our future, Eternal life is our future
- We receive forgiveness for all our sins
- Sin does not rule our lives, Jesus Christ rules our
lives
- We serve Christ, we are not a servant of sin anymore
- Satan has no control over our lives, Jesus has full
control
- We belong to Christ, we do not belong to the world
- Christ lives in us, Jesus abides in us and we abide in
Him
- We are of God
- We are crucified, buried and raised into life by Christ
- There is Joy in Heaven because we are saved
- We become the children of God
- We become heirs to the kingdom of God
- We choose to sin no more
- We become followers of God, not followers of the
world
- We receive the blessings of God
- We worship and praise the only true living God
- We obey the word of God
- We abandon unrighteousness for righteousness
- We live by faith and obedience to God
- We live for God, not for ourselves, not for the world
- We receive the crown of life, eternal, everlasting life
in the presence of God Almighty forever and ever
When we are saved, we become born again. Our
"old self"
is dead, we choose to sin no more, we are a new creature, reborn, renewed,
regenerated, we have a new
life with Christ.
Salvation brings new life, we are born
again.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed,
but of incorruptible, by the word of God,
which liveth and abideth for ever.
1 Peter 1:23 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 |
To be in Christ, abide in Christ, live in Christ, is to be a
new creature. We abandon, turn away from our old habits of sin, because
of our new life in Christ Jesus.
Believers receive the Holy Ghost
Then Peter said unto them,
Repent, and be baptized every
one of you
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 |
Believers have God living inside of them. We are
the temple of God, where God abides. A child of God is the ambassador of
God, the representative of Christ Jesus.
The Holy Ghost of God is our Comforter, promised to all people
who receive salvation and who have faith in God.
Believers of Christ walk in newness of life
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even
so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4 |
Eternal life with God is our new destiny
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth
his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
John 12:25 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the
only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
John 17:3 |
Believers receive forgiveness for all sins confessed
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his
name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 10:43 |
All past sins of a true believer of Christ Jesus have all been
erased, never to be remembered again by God.
Any new sins a believer of Christ Jesus commits must be
repented of. As a child of God we must repent of any new sin we commit
against God.
For
more information see - SIN AFTER
Jesus Christ rules our lives, NOT sin
Sin does NOT rule the life of a child of God. Through
salvation, through Christ, we are set free from sin in our life. Christ
Jesus cuts the ties, the chains of the bondage of sin.
Through salvation we are released, by Jesus, from the bondage
of sin and death.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no
more; death hath no more dominion over him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once:
but in that he liveth, he liveth
unto God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin,
but alive unto
God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,
that ye should obey it in the
lusts thereof.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:
but
yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead,
and your
members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
For sin shall not have dominion over you:
for ye are not under the law, but
under grace.
Romans 6:9-14 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from
the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Romans 8:21 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be
free indeed.
John 8:36 |
Believers belong to Christ
And ye
are Christ's;
and Christ is God's.
1
Corinthians 3:23 |
We are Christ's and Christ is God's. We are God's
children through Christ Jesus.
What a beautiful and powerful scripture!
We belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
We belong to God, because we belong to Christ.
Without being Christ's, belonging to Christ, we cannot belong
to God. To belong to God, we must go through Christ.
To see God, to be with God the Father in Heaven for eternity,
we must go through His Son, Christ Jesus of Nazareth.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 |
By being saved we become Christ's. All that we are
belongs to Him, we belong to Jesus. We own nothing, all we have is
Christ's.
Christ gave His life for us, and now we give our life to
Christ; to follow Christ, to serve Christ, and to worship Christ.
AND NOTHING can separate you from the love of CHRIST.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor
angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present,
nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from
the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 |
As long as we as believers in Christ Jesus hold onto our
faith, are steadfast until the end, nothing in this world, no person,
no thing, no event, no circumstance, no war, no prison, no power, no suffering,
no pain, no illness, no disease, nothing can separate
you from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Believers serve Christ
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily,
as to the Lord, and
not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye
serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of
thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him,
and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deuteronomy 10:12 |
The servants of sin, the unrighteous, the ungodly, those who
do not cease from sin, those who serve sin, will NOT inherit the kingdom of God,
are not saved and will NOT receive the reward of the inheritance. The
wages of sin is death and eternal separation away from God for eternity.
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. John 8:34-35 |
All who live in sin after the flesh are not of God.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if
ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Romans 8:13 |
Satan has NO dominion, NO rule over a Believer's life, Jesus has complete
reign
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no
more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Romans 6:9 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and
blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same;
that through death he
might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
bondage.
Hebrews 2:14-15 |
Believers resist the devil and submit to God
Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 |
God promises, if we resist the devil and submit
ourselves to God, that the devil will flee from us.
Christ lives in us
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be
that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin;
but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,
he
that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by
his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Romans 8:9-12 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I,
but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I
live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 |
Our debt is to Christ Jesus, to God alone, no one else.
God saved us from sin and death, we are not to live after the flesh and sin, but
live for Christ Jesus, our Saviour and our Lord God.
We are of God
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome
them:
because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
They are of the world:
therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth
them.
We are of God:
he that knoweth God heareth us;
he that is not of God
heareth not us.
Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
1 John 4:4-6 |
Believers of Christ are not of this world any more. We
are separated unto God and made heirs to the Kingdom of God, we are of God.
We are of
God. How powerful is this truth!!
How amazing!! What a miracle it is to be a child of God!!
None of us are worthy to be called the children of God, but we are, by His grace
we are!! Halleluiah!! Praise the Lord!!
Believers are crucified with Christ
Christ lives in all born again believers.
Believers cannot live their old life of sin because we
are crucified with Christ.
We are to live by faith
through Christ Jesus.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;
yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 |
Believers old body of sin is destroyed and our new body should
not serve sin.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him,
that
the body of sin might be destroyed,
that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Romans 6:6 |
Believers are buried with Christ and raised up from the dead
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead
by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4 |
Heaven rejoices when one is
saved
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven
over one sinner that repenteth,
more than over ninety and nine just persons,
which need no repentance.
Luke 15:7 Likewise, I say unto you,
there is joy in the presence of the angels of God
over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 15:10 |
What a beautiful thought! The angels of God have joy
when I was saved!
Believers in Christ are the children of God
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ
Jesus.
Galatians 3:26 |
Through faith in Christ Jesus we
are the children of God.
Believers are heirs of God
As believers we become the children of God, heirs of God,
joint-heirs with Christ, and heirs to the kingdom of God.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him,
that we may be also glorified together.
Romans 8:17 |
Believers sin no more
Believers of Christ are set free from sin and death through
salvation, belief in God.
Believers choose not to sin anymore. Believers in
Christ are separated unto God and are separated from living a sinful, worldly, lustful, life anymore. Believers
in Christ are not to think about sin or seek sin out. If you submit
yourself to God and resist the devil, God promises that the devil
will depart from you.
By abiding in Jesus, staying in Christ, close to Jesus, focused on heavenly
things and not earthly things we can stay away from sin. When we walk with
Christ, He will protect us from the evils of the world.
When we walk with Christ, the Holy Ghost in our hearts will
convict us of every sin. No one is able to live in Christ and live in
sin.
When believers inadvertently sin, we are to confess and repent
immediately, and ask forgiveness with all our heart. If we confess and
repent, with godly sorrow, we have assurance that Christ Jesus will forgive us our sins.
When we are made whole, through salvation, Jesus said we
are to sin no more.
He that committeth sin is of the devil;
for the devil
sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that
he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him:
and
he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1 John 3:8-9 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto
him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more,
lest a worse thing come
unto thee.
John 5:14 My little children, these things write I unto you, that
ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus
Christ the righteous:
1 John 2:1 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9 |
Believers follow God, not the world
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the
world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:
but he that doeth the will of
God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:15-17 And when he had called the people unto him with his
disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me,
let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it;
but whosoever shall lose his
life for my sake and the gospel's,
the same shall save it.
Mark 8:34-35 |
Believers receive the blessings of God
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is
tried, he shall receive the crown of life,
which the Lord hath promised to them
that love him.
James 1:12 |
Believers worship and praise only one true living God
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach,
because
we trust in the living God,
who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those
that believe.
1 Timothy 4:10 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the
only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
John 17:3 |
Believers obey the word of God
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves.
James 1:22 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said,
We
ought to obey God rather than men.
Acts 5:29 And being made perfect,
he became the author of eternal
salvation
unto all them that obey him;
Hebrews 5:9 And he answered and said unto them,
My mother and my
brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Luke 8:21 But he said, Yea rather,
blessed are they that hear the
word of God, and keep it.
Luke 11:28 |
Believers live righteously
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth
righteousness is righteous,
even as he is righteous.
In this the children of God are manifest,
and the children of the devil:
whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,
neither he that loveth not
his brother.
1 John 3:7,10 |
Believers live their lives by faith
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:17 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of
God,
it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Galatians 3:11 |
Believers have no confidence in this world or in the people of
this world, our faith is no in ourselves or our flesh; but our faith is in God
alone for our salvation.
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the
spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3 |
Believers live for Christ, not the world
According to my earnest expectation and my hope,
that in
nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness,
as always, so now also
Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:20-21 |
Believers have received the crown of life, everlasting life with God
Almighty
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold,
the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall
have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death,
and I will give thee a
crown of life.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He
that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Revelation 2:10-11 |
Eternal Life is salvation. Salvation is the gift
of God, and the gift of God is eternal life. The gift from God to
all people who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ.
For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23 |
The gift of God is eternal life. Eternal life is
given to us by God. Eternal life is in Jesus Christ.
And this is the record,
that God hath given to us
eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life;
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of
God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life,
and that ye may believe on the
name of the Son of God.
1 John 5:11-13 |
Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life. Jesus
Christ is eternal life.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us
an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true,
even in his Son Jesus Christ.
This is the true God, and eternal life.
1 John 5:20 Keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:21 |
When I am saved by Jesus, when do I then become a
"Christian"? A Christian is one who belongs to Christ Jesus;
a Christian is a person who is "of
Christ", a Christian is Christ's, a Christian lives for Christ, a Christian
serves Jesus Christ.
A Christian is one who has received the free gift of God,
eternal salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
A Christian is one who denies themselves, who
takes up
their cross and follows Christ Jesus, follows the ways
of Christ Jesus.
A Christian is one who obeys the word of God, and seeks to
know God more and more with every day.
A Christian is one who endures until the end, through
faith in Jesus Christ as Lord of their life.
A Christian is who has overcome sin, through faith
in Jesus Christ.
I have accepted Jesus Christ into my heart and asked him to
forgive my sins and I repent and turn from sin. I obey the word of
God. I believe Jesus is the Son
of God, the Almighty Creator of the world, and Jesus will come to earth one day
to receive all His followers up with Him into the glory of God, everlasting life
in the kingdom of God, Heaven.
Yes, I am a Christian a follower,
a servant of Christ.
Therefore we are buried with him by
baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up
from the dead by the glory
of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch.
And
it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church,
and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in
Antioch.
Acts 11:26 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be
ashamed;
but let him glorify God on this behalf.
1 Peter 4:16 |
For more information see -
CHRISTIAN
Jesus said we are to be His followers, as His
disciples.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples,
If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:24 |
To follow Christ Jesus we must give Him our whole life, we
must surrender all our life to Jesus. We must give control over our life
to Jesus, we must give Christ the reigns of our life.
Only by losing our old way of life, forsaking our old life of sin, can we find
true life, eternal life in Christ Jesus.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:
and
whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 16:25 |
If we hold onto our sinful, worldly life, we cannot follow
Christ Jesus and we cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole
world,
and lose his own soul?
or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:26 |
We must deny ourselves, we must forsake "our way" of living,
for "the way" of Christ Jesus.
And when he had called the people unto him with his
disciples also, he said unto them,
Whosoever will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it;
but whosoever shall lose his
life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
For what shall it profit a man,
if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous
and sinful generation;
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he
cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Mark 8:34-38 |
Without forsaking our "own way" of living, without
denying ourselves, without losing our old life, we cannot be saved, we cannot
inherit everlasting life.
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life
for my sake, the same shall save it.
For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or
be cast away?
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of
man be ashamed,
when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of
the holy angels.
Luke 9:23-26 |
If you have never fully given all of yourself to Christ, if you have never
denied yourself, gave your whole life to Christ Jesus, if you are reading this
you still have time.
After you die it is too late for salvation, there will be NO second chance to give your
life to Christ Jesus after you die, so you must do it today, while there is
still time.
Pray to Jesus and tell Him you are a sinner, confess you sins,
turn from your sins, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, tell Him you know He is the Son of God
and you want to make Him ruler over your life. Give your life to Him.
Ask Jesus into your heart to be the Lord and Saviour over all of your life.
Don't hold any part of your life from Him. Surrender all your life to
Jesus.
If you pray with all your heart, Jesus will forgive you of all
your sins and save your soul from sin and death in hell for eternity.

We are all saved the exact same way, by the grace of God through faith in
God.

Lord of your life. All your faith and trust and belief is in Jesus Christ.
Only by the grace of God are we are saved and become a
Christian through faith in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
Only through faith in Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and
make us whole and holy in the sight of God by giving our whole heart, soul,

When you read through the word of God and see one of these
words, God is speaking about YOU! The saved, the elect of
Christ Jesus.
Saved
We are all saved by the grace of God through
faith in God.
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Acts 15:11 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved.
Romans 10:13 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he
that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:16 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood,
we shall be saved from wrath
through him.
Romans 5:8-9 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Matthew 18:11 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:17 For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25 |
The saved are believers of Christ
Believers of Christ have belief in the word of God that says:
- God the Father and Jesus the Son of God are one God
- God was manifested in the flesh as Jesus
- Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God
- Jesus came to earth to save the world from sin and death
- Jesus came to earth to destroy sin and death
- Jesus was crucified on a cross
- Jesus died for the sins of the world
- Jesus paid the ransom for our souls
- Jesus was resurrected from death and lives forever
- Jesus lives in His Glorified Body
- Jesus is God, the Word, and Eternal Life
- Jesus will return one day to this earth and receive up with
Him his
followers
- Jesus will judge the world, the living and the dead
- Jesus will reign forever in the Kingdom of God with all his
followers
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have
eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3:15-16 And believers were the more added to the Lord,
multitudes
both of men and women.)
Acts 5:14 |
Believers are both men and women. The believers of
Christ Jesus are the sons and daughters of God.
And will be a Father unto you,
and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:18 |
We become children of
God
By faith in Christ Jesus,
believing with all your heart, all you mind, all you soul that Jesus is the Son
of God and only Jesus can save your soul from hell, you are saved.
Salvation is an exchange of heart and soul and spirit.
You give your sinful worldly heart, soul and spirit to God and He give you a new
regenerated, sinless, pure heart, clean soul and renewed spirit.
Salvation changes you into a new person, you are
completely born again into the Spirit of Christ Jesus.
Once you believe, give your life to Christ, ask Jesus to be your LORD and direct your
life, you become a child of God.
After you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and are
saved, you have answered the most important question in your
life,
Who am I? I am a child of God.
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26 Neither can they die any more:
for they are equal unto the
angels; and are the children of God,
being the children of the resurrection. Luke 20:36 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are
the children of God:
Romans 8:16 |
So being the children of God we must act like it and
live
according to God's will and purpose.
Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant, insecure,
remember who you belong to - you are a member of the family of
God.
The family of God is enormous, including those past, present
and future believers of God.
Belonging to the family of God is the
Highest Honor and Greatest Privilege we will ever receive.
NOTHING else comes close!
Be thankful and show your gratitude to God for His
wonderful, free gift of salvation He gave to you by showing others you
belong to the family of God by the way you live your life.
Show others who God really is through your righteous living for God.
Let others see God in you!!
The children of your Father
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in
heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and
sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:45 |
The children of the Highest
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for
nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children
of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Luke 6:35 |
The children of the resurrection
Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the
angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
Luke 20:36 |
The children of the light
While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be
the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did
hide himself from them.
John 12:36 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the
day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1 Thessalonians 5:5 |
The children of the day
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of
the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1 Thessalonians 5:5 |
The children of the living God
And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was
said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children
of the living God.
Romans 9:26 |
The children of promise
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of
promise.
Galatians 4:28 |
The sons of God
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of
man, but of God.
John 1:12-13 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are
the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have
received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of
God:
Romans 8:14-16 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God,
without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye
shine as lights in the world;
Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I
have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
Philippians 2:15-16 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon
us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth
us not, because it knew him not.
1 John 3:1 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not
yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be
like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 John 3:2 |
The man of God
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and
follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also
called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:11-12 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good
works.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 |
Heirs to the kingdom of God
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we
are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him,
that we may be also glorified together.
Romans 8:16-17 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son;
and if a
son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Galatians 4:7 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of
men,
as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body,
and partakers of
his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Ephesians 3:5-6 Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but
according to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of regeneration,
and renewing
of the Holy Ghost;
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope
of eternal life.
Titus 3:5-7 |
The circumcision
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the
spirit,
and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Philippians 3:3 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain
deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world,
and not
after Christ.
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him,
which is the head of all principality and power:
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in
putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith
of the operation of God,
who hath raised him from the dead.
Colossians 2:8-12 |
The elect of God
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and
beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness,
longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel
against any:
even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:12-13 |
The saints of the most High
But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and
possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
Daniel 7:18 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we
know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because
he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:26-27 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but
fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
Ephesians 2:19 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to
be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into
the kingdom of his dear Son:
Colossians 1:12-13 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep
the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation 14:12 |
Christians
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch.
And
it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church,
and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in
Antioch.
Acts 11:26 |

after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:24 And when he had called the people unto him with his
disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:34 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall
any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:27-28 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am,
there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
John 12:26 |
Disciples
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If
ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:31-32 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye
have love one to another.
John 13:35 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so
shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:8 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come
after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life
for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 16:24-25 |
The just
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:17
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of
God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Galatians 3:11
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back,
my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10:38
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in
heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth
rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45
|
The body of Christ
God says that the believers of Christ, the followers of
Christ, the saved are all members of the body of Christ.
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in
particular. 1 Corinthians 12:27
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of
God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of
Christ: Ephesians 4:12-13
|
Overcomer
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:
because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and
this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son
of God?
1 John 5:4-5
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:11
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto
the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden
manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written,
which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Revelation 2:17
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white
raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will
confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my
throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Revelation
3:21
He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be
his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7
|
Sanctified
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the
Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering
of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:10
|
Converted
Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall
be converted unto thee. Psalm 51:13
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are
dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should
see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their
heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Matthew 13:15
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted,
and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is
greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3-4
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may
be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the
Lord; Acts 3:19
|
The sheep of the Lamb of God
Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the
works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck
them out of my Father's hand.
I and my Father are one.
John 10:25-30
|
The word of God reads that NO person becomes angels or gods because they are saved.
The children of God never become angels or gods.
Equal to angels, as the angels, but not angels
The word of God reads that the children of God, believers of Christ,
the saved are equal to the angels, but not actual angels.
Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto
the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the
resurrection. Luke 20:36
|
The saved in Christ are as the angels of God, but are
not angels.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given
in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:30
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry,
nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. Mark 12:25
|
God created humankind and God created the angels.
God is not a man; man is not god
God created man in His image, but God is NOT a man, like we
are.
A created man cannot become God.
God is not a man, that he should lie;
neither the son of
man, that he should repent:
hath he said, and shall he not do it?
or hath he
spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19
|
The scriptures tell us that God is not a man
and man is not god or a god, or little gods.
There is nowhere in the word of God that states that man is
god or a god or can become god or will ever become god.
No one is God, except the one true Lord God Almighty.
The word of God does say that satan claimed to be god and that
is why God cast him out of heaven.
Let no man deceive you by any means:
for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first,
and that man of sin be revealed,
the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped;
so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that
he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
|
Love the Lord thy God
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:37
|
Jesus asks to have faith in God forever
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe,
all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called,
and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12
For therein is the righteousness of God
revealed from faith to faith:
as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:17
Now the just shall live by faith:
but if any man draw back,
my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10:38
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you,
That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and shall not doubt in his heart,
but shall believe that those things
which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
And when ye stand praying, forgive,
if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven
may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye do not forgive,
neither will your Father
which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Mark 11:22-26
|
Grow in grace and knowledge of the truth of God
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18
|
Jesus asks us to trust
and believe in Him
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:
he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
John 6:35
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Believest thou this?
She said unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ,
the Son of God, which should come into the world.
John 11:25-27
|
To receive eternal life we believe in Christ Jesus, we put all
our trust and our life in the hands of the one true living God, the Creator of
all things.
Walk in the ways of Christ
Follow peace with all men, and holiness,
without which no man shall see the Lord:
Hebrews 12:14
And he saith unto them, Follow me,
and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19
Then said Jesus unto his disciples,
If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:24
Jesus said unto him,
If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast,
and
give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven:
and come and follow
me.
Matthew 19:21
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he
said unto them,
Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up
his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:34
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him,
One thing thou
lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast,
and give to the poor, and thou
shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Mark 10:21
And he said to them all,
If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily,
and follow me.
Luke 9:23
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them,
and they follow me.
John 10:27
If any man serve me, let him follow me;
and where I am, there shall also my
servant be:
if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. John 12:26
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts,
but rather that ye my
prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:1
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; Ephesians 5:1
|
We are saved by the grace of God through faith in God, not by
our works. Nothing that we could ever do in our lifetime could ever save
us, we are NOT saved by ourselves, we are NOT saved by our own works.
Following Christ, walking in the ways of Christ is what
believers do because of salvation, not to gain it.
What happens if we do NOT
follow Christ?
And he that taketh not his cross,
and followeth after me,
is not worthy of
me.
Matthew 10:38
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.
John 8:12
|
Deny ourselves
The only way we can follow Christ is to deny ourselves,
meaning to give up our selfish ways, and to place Christ before ourselves.
To deny ourselves is to forget about "me" and "I", believers
no longer do things for themselves, or live for "me", live
for self, believers live for
Christ and deny self. It is no longer about 'us' it is all about Jesus.
Believers are no longer 'first' in their life, Jesus is first, Jesus is number one in our lives now and forever.
Before we were saved, our life is revolved around our self, our needs
and our wants, our sinful flesh desires.
After salvation, the life of the believer revolves around
Christ, living for Christ, being like Christ, serving Christ, doing the
will of God.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples,
If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:24
And when he had called the people unto him
with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me,
let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:34
And he said to them all,
If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23
|
The word of God specifically states that no one can
serve two gods, you cannot serve the world, serve the sin of the flesh,
serve self and serve God. God says we either serve God, or
we serve the devil, we can't serve both.
Endure until the end
As believers in Christ, we are to endure until the end.
Salvation is not temporary and neither is living our lives for
Christ. We are to overcome sin, turn our backs to sin, live righteously
all the days of our lives.
Enduring until the end is abiding in Christ Jesus all
the days of our lives.
We are to live godly, righteous lives, follow God's commandments, follow in the
ways of Christ, not live like the world, every day of our lives until the end.
As born-again believers we are never to stop following Christ.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life,
which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a
good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3
Beareth all things, believeth all things,
hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1 Corinthians 13:7
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's
sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 10:22
But he that shall endure unto the end, the
same shall be saved.
Matthew 24:13
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's
sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same
shall be saved.
Mark 13:13
Therefore I endure all things for the
elect's sakes,
that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ
Jesus with eternal glory.
2 Timothy 2:10
..let us run with patience the race that is set
before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
I press toward the mark for the prize of the
high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14
|
As believers, we should all press toward the mark for the prize of the high call of God in
Christ Jesus, this should be our pledge to God every morning when we
wake up.
Our faith in Jesus Christ pleases God. Without faith it
is impossible to please God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of
them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
|
Jesus prophesied His second
coming
But he held his peace, and answered nothing.
Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him,
Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man
sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Mark 14:61-62
|
Watching,
waiting, and hoping for the return of Jesus
Watch and looking for Christ's return
Watch therefore:
for ye know not what hour your Lord doth
come. Matthew 24:42
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day
nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:13
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man,
no, not the angels which are in heaven,
neither the Son, but the Father.
Take ye heed, watch and pray:
for ye know not when the time is. Mark 13:32-33
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Mark 13:37
Blessed are those servants,
whom the lord when he cometh
shall find watching:
verily I say unto you,
that he shall gird himself,
and make them to sit down to meat,
and will come forth and serve them.
And if he shall come in the second watch,
or come in the third watch, and find
them so,
blessed are those servants.
And this know, that if the goodman of the house
had known what hour the thief
would come,
he would have watched,
and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
Be ye therefore ready also:
for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Luke 12:37-40
Watch ye therefore, and pray always,
that ye may be accounted worthy to escape
all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:36
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith,
quit you like men, be
strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with
thanksgiving;
Colossians 4:2
But the end of all things is at hand:
be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
1 Peter 4:7
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard,
and hold fast, and repent.
If therefore thou shalt not watch,
I will come on thee as a thief,
and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Revelation 3:3
Looking for that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing of the great God
and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:13
|
Waiting on Christ
I thank my God always on your behalf,
for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all
knowledge;
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall also confirm you unto the end,
that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:4-8
For we through the Spirit
wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Galatians 5:5
And to wait for his Son from heaven,
whom he raised from the dead,
even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 1:10
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God,
and into the patient waiting for Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:5
Be patient therefore, brethren,
unto the coming of the
Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth
for the precious fruit of the earth,
and hath long patience for it,
until he received the early and latter rain. James 5:7
|
Hoping for Christ
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the
world began;
Titus 1:2
That being justified by his grace,
we should be made heirs according to the
hope of eternal life. Titus 3:7
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in
the LORD.
Psalm 31:24
But I will hope continually,
and will yet praise thee more and more. Psalm 71:14
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope.
Psalm 130:5
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,
whose hope is in the
LORD his God:
Psalm 146:5
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD,
and whose hope the LORD is.
Jeremiah 17:7
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of
the LORD.
Lamentations 3:26
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
that ye may
abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13
|
Every life that God created has purpose.
To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose
under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
And we know that all things work together
for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of
God,
was glad, and exhorted them all,
that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. Acts 11:23

Believers belong to God
We must realize that now we belong to God.
Believers of God are no
longer of the world.
And ye are Christ's; and
Christ is God's.
1
Corinthians 3:23
For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in your
body,
and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:20
|
We were bought with the
ultimate price, the life of Jesus Christ, the life of the only begotten Son of
God.
Jesus died on a cross, so
we might live. Jesus rose from the dead, so we all might also be
resurrected into everlasting life.
All this was done to glorify God.
All this was done to fulfill the word of God, to fulfill the promises of God.
We are to glorify God in
our body and in our spirit, which belong to God.
Our purpose is to glorify God
Do all to the glory of God.
Whatsoever we do, do all to the glory of
God.
Whether
therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
|
We are to glorify God in
our body and in our spirit, which belong to God.
Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
|
Our prayers are answered
to glorify God
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that
will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:13
|
God is glorified when we
are fruitful
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit;
so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:8

We
are to glorify God in our body and spirit
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your
body,
and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:20

We are chosen by God
Did you know that you were chosen by God
before the
foundation of the world?
According as he hath
chosen us in him
before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and
without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us
unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
himself,
according to the good pleasure of his will,
To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:4-6
|
God has plans to give
us hope and a future
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith
the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will
hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your
heart.
And I will be found of you, saith the LORD:
and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the
nations,
and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD;
and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away
captive.
Jeremiah 29:11-14
|
After we are saved, we become a new
person.
When we are saved, we have
Christ in us. We have put on Christ.
For as many of you
have been baptized into Christ
have put on Christ.
Galatians 3:27
And that ye put on the
new man,
which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:24
And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge
after the image of him that created him:
Colossians 3:10
|
God is our armor against
evil.
Put on the whole armour
of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11
|
When we are saved by
Jesus, all things are new.
And have put on the new
man,
which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Colossians 3:10
Therefore we are buried
with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead
by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should
walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4
Put on
therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel
against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in
one body; and be ye thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:12-17
|
After we are saved, and
cleansed by the blood of Jesus, we are to walk in a new way. Our old lives
will not work for us anymore. We will be refreshed and renewed. We will want
to follow God’s will for our lives.
Therefore if any man
be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away;
behold all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
|
We will have found our
purpose, to love God.
By this we know that we
love the children of God,
when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1 John 5:2
|
Our purpose is to be a
light in the world
That ye may be blameless and harmless,
the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 2:15
|
Our purpose is to witness
All believers are called by God to be a witness of Jesus
Christ, to share the plan of salvation with those lost in the world.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:
and be ready always to give an answer
to every man that asketh you
a reason of the hope that is in you
with meekness and fear:
Having a good conscience;
that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers,
they may be ashamed that falsely accuse
your good conversation in Christ. 1 Peter 3:15-16
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and
ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8
|
We are all witnesses
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are
witnesses.
Acts 2:32
And we are his witnesses of these things;
and so is also the Holy Ghost,
whom God hath given to them that obey him. Acts 5:32

Life with God does not stop 'after' salvation.
A new life with God begins after salvation.
Salvation is the beginning of life. Salvation is a
relationship with God through Christ Jesus.
Some people think all they need in their life is to be saved,
and nothing else.
This is not what God says in His word.
After we receive salvation, there is so much more
that God has for us all.
Don't stop at salvation, receive all the gifts that God has
waiting for you.
Salvation is just the beginning of your new life with God.
Jesus Christ is the door to salvation and the kingdom of God.
You need to walk through the door and get to know God and receive all the many,
many treasures and gifts that He has waiting to give you.
Faith is the key which unlocks the door of salvation. We
enter the door, which is Jesus Christ, to God. By the grace of God through
Jesus we are saved. The will of God is to obtain salvation.
Salvation is obtained by faith in God.
By faith we are saved through Jesus Christ.
We need to
grow our faith and continue our walk, our journey
with Christ every day.
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23

Discipleship is for all people, "He said to them all..".
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in
them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1 Timothy 4:16 |
God says we are to work
out our own salvation.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in
my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.

Work out your own salvation.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always

Philippians 2:12
|
We are not to stop at salvation, salvation is the beginning of
our life not the end. We are to take up our cross daily and follow
Jesus every day and work out our own salvation every day.
This is done by building our faith by studying God's word and
through fellowship with God every day.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17
|
The word of God is His Holy scriptures and His Holy voice that
we hear when we pray to Him and fellowship with Him.
Live according to God in the
spirit.
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them
that are dead,
that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but
live
according to God in the spirit.
1 Peter 4:6
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:1
|
Keep yourselves in the love of
God
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy
faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:20-21 |
Separate from the world.
The children of God are
separated to God and separated from this world.
Having
therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh
and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1
Even the Spirit of truth;
whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
but ye know him; for he dwelleth
with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:17
Pure religion and undefiled before God and
the Father is this,
To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,
and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Boasting
Don't boast of yourself,
boast only in the Lord.
2 Corinthians 10:17,18
Beatitudes
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain:
and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his
mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall
inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst
after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the
merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in
heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for
they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which
are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my
sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in
heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Matthew 5:1-12 |
You are the temple of
God
Did you know that after you are saved, you are the temple of
God?
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the
Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God
destroy;
for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 3:17
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
for ye are the temple of the living God;
as God hath said, I will dwell in them,
and walk in them;
and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2 Corinthians 6:16
And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
1 Corinthians 3:23
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with
the saints, and of the household of God;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ
himself being the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in
the Lord:
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the
Spirit. Ephesians 2:19-22

Keep God's laws and Commandments
Keep therefore the word of this covenant, and do them,
that ye may prosper in all that ye do. Deuteronomy 29:9
Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them:
I
am the LORD. Leviticus 22:31
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you,
neither shall ye diminish ought from it,
that ye may keep the commandments of
the LORD your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2
|
What are the Ten Commandments?
The Ten Commandments are
laws which God gave us to instruct us how we should live. The Ten Commandments are instruction on how we
should live. Every commandment is relevant to us today.
God gave the Ten
Commandments to Moses, who wrote them down on stone tablets, and gave them to
all the people.
And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of
the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
or any likeness of any
thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve
them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and
fourth generation of them that hate
me;
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me,
and keep my commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in
vain;
for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:
in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son,
nor thy daughter, thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant,
nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within
thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth,
the sea,
and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day:
wherefore the LORD blessed
the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Honour thy father and thy mother:
that thy days
may be long upon the land
which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou
shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife,
nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,
nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Exodus 20:1-17 |

COMMANDMENTS
No one can know
God without love.
Before we can start living our life the way God wants us to,
our life must be based on love, grounded and rooted in love.
If you can only understand one thing
about God, know this - GOD IS LOVE.
Love has everything to do with God.
God is Love. Love is of God. No one can know God without
love.
If you cannot love, you cannot be with God, and God cannot be
with you.
If you do not know love, you cannot know God, and God will not
know you.
If you do not live in love, God cannot live with you.
Love is the essence of God. Love is the spirit of God.
Love is everything to God.
Love is not an option with God.
Living for God starts with Loving God
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:5
Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his
charge,
and his statutes, and his judgments,
and his commandments, alway. Deuteronomy 11:1
In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God,
to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his
judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless
thee in the land
whither thou goest to possess it. Deuteronomy 30:16
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:30
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Luke 10:27
|
Living for God is to Love everyone
Since God is love, and we are to be perfect like him, we
should also be loving.
And this commandment have we from him,
That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1 John 4:21 |
God should be the center of us and love should be in
everything that we do in life. We need to make sure everything we say and do
comes from love.
And above all things put on charity, which is the bond of
perfectness.
Colossians 3:14 |
For more information see - LOVE
Believers become adopted into the family of God. We
become children of God, we become his family.
God's only begotten Son is Jesus Christ. We as followers
of Christ, the saved, are not begotten of God, but we are his children through
adoption.
By having faith and believing in his only begotten Son, Jesus,
we become his sons and daughters, the children of God.
And as children of God we are heirs, co-heirs with Christ, to
the kingdom of God. We as the children of God inherit the kingdom of God
along with Jesus Christ.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be
that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of
Christ, he is none of his.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life
because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,
he
that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his
Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do
mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have
received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of
God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be
that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time
are not worthy to be
compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:9-18 |
All believers of Jesus Christ are God's children. We are to act like a
family, the family of God and love each other.
Wherefore receive ye one another,
as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Romans 15:7 |
Charity suffereth long, and is kind;
charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself,
is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh
not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not
in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things,
believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies,
they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease;
whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know
in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is
come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a
child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a
child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now
we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in
part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth
faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is
charity.
1 Corinthians 13:4-13 |
I am nothing without love
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand
all mysteries, and all knowledge;
and though I have all faith, so that I could
remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three;
but the
greatest of these is charity.
1 Corinthians 13:13
|
Truth shall set you free
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If
ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:31-32 |
One bad thought can bind you for life. Break free from
whatever the devil is binding you with, Jesus breaks the bondage of satan.
You, as a believer, know the truth now. You are free.
Jesus is the truth and he has set you free. Claim your freedom and live it.
The truth of God found through Christ Jesus
shall make you free.

against them which commit such things.
And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which
do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Acts 24:16 |
The Scriptures tell us that believers will suffer, not that
they suffer, or can suffer, but that we will suffer. Because we are now
part of God's family all suffering is bearable and has great reward. As a
born again believer all things become new. Our hearts, mind, spirit, all
of us is changed. We must put away the past, the old way of thinking, the
secular world's definitions of love, grace, and suffering do not apply to us
anymore. God's love is not the same as the world's love.
Believers are branded by Christ, we are a new creature, the
rules and thoughts of the world do not apply to us anymore. Yes, we are
still in the world, but like Christ we are not of the world.
Love, grace, suffering have a new definition, a Christ
centered meaning, that only believers, only the children of God can see.
The joy to come makes everything worth it.
(This is one of my favorite scriptures)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2 |
Our precious Lord, Jesus Christ, who is the author and
finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him - joy he
knew that was coming, He endured the torture, the pain, the humility, and the
shame of the cross, and He is now seated down at the right hand of the throne of
God!!
Jesus knew the will of God, Jesus knew He would suffer on the
cross, Jesus knew He would die for the sins of the world, but Jesus also knew
the joy that was at the end of His suffering, the joy of being set down at the
right hand throne of God!!
What would you endure, if you knew in the end, the joy of being
set on the right hand of the throne of God? Well, believers do know the
end!
We, as believers, do know the joy that is set before us
- the promises that God gives us - we do know we will have eternal life
with God and His only begotten Son, Jesus.
In my Father's house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.
John 14:2-3
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life,
which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:12
|
No suffering can be compared to the glory we will have
with God.
This is another favorite scripture - one that I can hold onto
when things aren't quite going the way I think they should.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time
are not worthy to be compared
with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18 |
Because there are no sufferings of this present time
that are worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in
us!
We do know the joy that is waiting for us, so we, like Christ,
should endure anything that this pitiful world has to throw at us.
Halleluiah! We know the joy set before us!
We need to remember that we know the joy!
We need to act like believers of Christ Jesus and show our
joy, believe in our joy!
We should be so full of the joy of what we know, that
no one who met us could help but ask about our joy! We should be contagious
with joy!!
We as believers have the joy of knowing what is set before us is
the
kingdom of God, everlasting life with Jesus, our Lord and Saviour!
Is it hard for believers to suffer?
No, because:
- Believers know we have everlasting life in the kingdom of
God, forever to be in the presence of God Almighty
- Believers know that this world we live in today
will
not last very much longer
- Believers know that this is not our true home
- Believers know that Jesus is returning to take all
believers home to the kingdom of God our Father.
- Believers know we have everlasting life, where God will
wipe away our tears, where there will be no more pain or suffering, where we
will all be one body of Christ forever
- Believers know that the sufferings of this present time
cannot be compared to the glory we shall see and live in.
Believers suffer
because we are children of God
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs;
heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him,
that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time
are not worthy to be compared
with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:16-18 |
Because Christ suffered
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy,
that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should
hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
1 Timothy 1:16 |
Jesus is our pattern. Believers are promised to suffer
by the word of God. Believers suffer because Christ suffered.
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving us an example,
that ye should follow his steps:
1 Peter 2:21 |
To glorify God
All things are to glorify God,
even suffering.
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be
ashamed;
but let him glorify God on this behalf.
1 Peter 4:16 For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in
your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:20 |
To grow in faith
Through our suffering we grow in our faith.
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11:22
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith:
as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God. Romans 10:17
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 2 Corinthians 5:7 |
To grow in Christ
Through our suffering we grow in Christ.
Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and
utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that
ye abound in this grace also.
2 Corinthians 8:7 |
To grow in patience
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also:
knowing that tribulation
worketh patience;
Romans 5:3 |
God will not let us suffer more than we can bear
God gives his children assurance that we will never be given
more than we can bear.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to
man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye
are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye
may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 |
The world says that suffering is bad, but GOD says it is
important for us. Let's believe in GOD about this.
We should never be discouraged by suffering, we should embrace
it and thank GOD for it, because of it we have our part in the Kingdom of
Christ.
And remember, the pain and suffering of the children of God
ends totally different than the pain and suffering of the lost. We have
hope of a greater tomorrow, we have God's promises that it will not remain
forever because we have Jesus!
Believers of Christ Jesus are to endure to the end.
To the end of what? Believers of Jesus are to
keep the faith, follow Christ daily, until the end of our life.
Believers of Christ are not just to be saved,
but remain in the faith, righteous, godly, following Christ, blameless
until the end of this world.
Believers of Jesus are to endure to the end,
which is until we die, or endure until Jesus comes again,
whichever comes first!
As a believer of Christ Jesus, we are to hold onto our faith,
live by faith, cherish it, strengthen it, grow it, until we pass from this life
into our eternal life with our eternal King.
Those who endure to
the end shall be saved
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake:
but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 10:22
But he that shall endure unto the end,
the same shall be saved.
Matthew 24:13
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake:
but he that shall endure unto the end,
the same shall be saved.
Mark 13:13
|
Work for that
which endureth unto everlasting life
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man
shall give unto you:
for him hath God the Father sealed.
John 6:27 |
Endure all things for Christ
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all
things, endureth all things.
1 Corinthians 13:7
Thou therefore endure hardness,
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 2:3
Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes,
that they may also obtain the salvation
which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 2 Timothy 2:10
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions,
do the work of an evangelist,
make full proof of thy ministry.
2 Timothy 4:5
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord
hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12
|
Be Blameless in
the day of our Lord Jesus Christ
Who shall also confirm you unto the end,
that ye may be blameless
in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:8 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one
toward another, and toward all men,
even as we do toward you:
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable
in holiness before God, even our Father,
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
with all his saints.
1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 |
Stedfast unto the end
But Christ as a son over his own house;
whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and
the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Hebrews 3:6
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the
beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; Hebrews 3:14
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same
diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: Hebrews 6:11
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and
hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the
revelation of Jesus Christ;
