This is a Bible study on After Salvation Myths. Click here for a printable Bible Study Guide.
Truth comes from God. We must turn to God and to His Holy word for the truth concerning all the things of God.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16
A myth is an opinion, belief, or idea that has no basis in truth.
There are many myths, untruths about salvation. These false teachings have been in this world since the beginning of time and will be here until the end of time. Some myths are about salvation itself, some are before, some are after, and some are in between.
Know this, there is only one truth, the truth of God. All questions about the salvation of God are answered in His Holy Word. The salvation of God belongs to God alone, no one else, therefore no one but God Himself can give salvation or answer questions regarding His salvation.
Salvation myths are beliefs about salvation that are not shown true by the word of God.
If any belief is different than what God said in His word, it is not true. Any gospel or doctrine other than God's is called false doctrine.
The word of God came from God to holy men, who wrote down what God said. The word of God is not any private interpretation from any man, it is from the Jehovah God Almighty, the Creator of the universe.
We must prove everything we believe by the word of God and the Holy Spirit who dwells inside every believer.
The only way to know if something said is true or false is to prove it by the word of God.
There are so many myths in the world today regard God's salvation, in this discussion, we will look at some of the most common salvation myths:
This section is on its own pages.
This section is on its own page.
Myths AFTER salvation deals with common myths about after someone is saved. Viewed in the light of God's Holy Word we will show Scriptures that refute these myths.
These are myths created by man concerning what happens after one receives the gift of salvation from God.
The saved in Christ Jesus have full assurance of their salvation.
Many people believe that - because they "say" that they are saved, or "say" that they are a "Christian" - that they can live a life of sin, live anyway they want to and still be saved. THIS IS NOT WHAT GOD SAYS.
Many people say that because they are saved it doesn't matter how they live their life. They say that if they sin all of their life, that God will still allow them into His Kingdom, but this is NOT what God says.
Many people believe that sin is okay because at onetime in their past they say they were saved.
Unbelief separates anyone from God.
God says that NO past experience can save you, only a current relationship with Christ Jesus guarantees eternal life. You must have current faith to enter Heaven.
God says the unbelieving will NOT enter His Kingdom (Romans 11:20; Hebrews 3:19, 4:6).
Many people believe that they can live a life of sin and still be righteous. This is NOT what God says.
Do not believe the lies of the devil. The only way anyone is saved is by surrendering heart, mind, and soul, wholly to God.
Jesus is not your Saviour, if He is not your Lord. When we accept the salvation of God, we accept Jesus as LORD and Saviour of our lives. We accept His salvation and His Lordship over our lives. We can only have one master, Lord over our lives.
We must accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour and LORD to receive salvation. Many people accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, but never accept Him as LORD of their life, ruler, master over their lives. Without giving God your life, you cannot be saved.
How can anyone expect to live one way and receive the reward of the other way, meaning you cannot live in unrighteousness and expect to receive the reward of the righteous. You cannot receive the promises of God (eternal life) without following the principles of God (surrendering one's life to Jesus). God says you can't it both ways.
No one can have it both ways, live for the devil and receive the reward of the righteous, eternal life.
God promises that we will reap what we sow, which is death for living in sin, or life for living for Christ (Galatians 6:7-8).
The word of God clearly states that the saved in Christ, follow Christ. Those who follow Christ avoid sin, they depart from sin, and repent of sin, and do NOT live in sin.
The children of God live for God, serve God, obey God, and they refuse to live for self, or serve the devil, or obey sin.
The word of God tells us that sin is NOT the will of God and in order to enter the Kingdom of God and NOT perish in hell, we must ALL DO the will of God and NOT sin (1 John 2:17; 1 Thessalonians 4:3).
The word of God tells us that those who sin are unrighteous and the unrighteous will NOT see the kingdom of God.
True believers put on Christ and walk in righteousness, NOT sin.
God is light.
Darkness is sin, darkness is death and separation from God.
We are to turn from darkness, which is the power of satan, to light which is the power of God.
Only when we turn from darkness to the light, turn to God from sin, can we receive forgiveness of sins and inherit the kingdom of God.
Jesus came to give Light to the whole world, that no person would perish, die in sin and darkness, but that all people could receive everlasting life.
Jesus said those who believe on Him should not abide in darkness.
The children of God have the Light of Christ inside their hearts, we are delivered from the power of satan and from the power of darkness.
And we are to walk, live as children of the Light.
God says you cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve God and serve sin.
God says the saved serve Christ in righteousness. You cannot be saved and serve Christ and also live in the lust of the flesh, which is to live in sin.
We either follow Christ or follow the world, no one can do both. We cannot serve Christ on Sunday and the devil the rest of the week.
How do you know who you serve? Do you serve God or sin? Do you serve God or the devil? What do you do in our life?
The word of God reads that we are to obey God rather than men. Do you follow the traditions and doctrines of men and the ways of this world, or do you obey God and His word.
The children of God are separate from this world. The children of God are separated unto God, and away from sin and all unrighteousness.
How do we know who we serve? How do I know if I am serving and obeying God?
Everything concerning our lives is in the word of God - our past, our present, and our future. The word of God is our instruction book for our life, the manual how God wants us to live out our lives on this earth.
The word of God reads that who we submit ourselves to, what we yield to, give ourselves to, who we obey is who we serve, and we become the servants of whom we obey.
Obedience to the righteousness of God equals life, and obedience to sin equals death, this is promised to all people by God Himself, and no one is exempt from the Word of God.
The word of God reads that what we do, what we yield ourselves to, what we obey, that is what and whom we serve.
We are servants to what we obey. If we obey sin, follow sin, pursue sin, then we become the servants of sin, we are in bondage to sin, by our own choice to follow sin. If we obey God, follow righteousness, pursue holiness and godliness, seek God, then we become the servants of righteousness, the servants of God, because we are abiding in God, by our own choice to follow Christ Jesus.
If we obey the lusts of our flesh, follow and obey sin and unrighteousness, we are serving sin, serving satan, we are obeying sin, we become servants of sin and unrighteousness.
Love of the unrighteous world, the lusts of the flesh, is unrighteousness.
Everything in this world will be destroyed by God one day soon. If you have attached yourself to sin and the things of this world, you will be destroyed along with this world and all that is in it; but, if you have attached yourself to Christ Jesus, through faith to salvation, you will be saved from destruction and pass from this world to eternal life with God forever.
The righteous obey Christ
If we obey Christ, if we follow Christ, if we walk in the ways of Christ, if we obey the gospel of Christ, we obey righteousness, we become the servants of righteousness, by serving Christ Jesus.
Righteousness cannot be obtained apart from Christ Jesus, because the righteousness of God is found only in Christ Jesus, through faith to salvation, to all people who believe in Him (Romans 3:22).
We become who we serve and obey. We are of who we serve. All people who serve sin, who live in disobedience become the children of disobedience, the children of satan.
All people who serve righteousness, who live by faith in obedience to God become the children of God (Galatians 3:26).
We turn into that which we serve, either sons of God or sons of the devil.
Servants of sin are unrighteous.
WAKE UP! If you are unrighteous, if you follow unrighteousness, if you live your life from sin to sin, you have become the servant of sin, and those who have pleasure in unrighteousness are damned.
The unrighteous will NOT inherit the kingdom of God.
God tells us NOT to be deceived, that the unrighteous will NOT see God, because the wages of sin, serving sin, living in sin is death.
No one is exempt from the word of God. All the words of God will be fulfilled. All the promises of God will be fulfilled. All the enemies of God will be destroyed. Sin and death will be cast into the lake of fire, damned for all eternity, and all people who have attached themselves to sin will receive the same end.
Servants to God attached themselves to the righteousness of Christ Jesus, not to sin, because they are made free from sin and death through faith in Jesus to salvation.
Only those people who serve the Lord Jesus Christ will receive the reward of inheritance into the kingdom of God.
The word of God reads that ONLY those who serve the Lord Christ will receive the reward of inheritance.
Special Note: This life is very, very short. Eternity is forever. Do not gamble on your eternal security. Seek God, follow Christ, turn away from sin today, while you still can. You may think that sin is pleasurable but it isn't, as all sin has consequences. God tells us the wages of a life of sin is death, eternal separation from Him. You do not want to spend eternity apart from God. Repent of your sins today, turn to God today. No one is promised a tomorrow. Follow God today, you will never regret choosing God. All that is in this life is temporal, temporary, it will soon be taken all away. Build up treasures in Heaven, where nothing goes away.
Some people believe that after they are saved, and forgiven of sin, that they cannot sin or that they do not have sin, or that they do not sin, but this is NOT what God says.
The word of God reads that the children of God are not sinners. We do not seek sin and we do not live in unrighteousness, but we are not sinless. We are not sinless until we receive our new heavenly bodies.
The children of God do not willfully sin, but we will inadvertently sin because we live in our flesh and blood, human bodies and we live in a sinful world.
What is the difference between willful sinning and inadvertently sinning?
Willful sin is planned and inadvertent sin is not planned.
The unrighteous sin willfully. They think about sin and plan how they are going to commit sin. The unrighteous pursue sin with a wicked heart.
Willful sinners thoughts are consumed with sin, from the time they wake up in the morning until they go to bed at night. Sin, sin, sin is always in the forefront of their minds. They plan sin, what to sin, when to sin, how to sin. They are obsessed with sin. The unrighteous desire sin. They may allot certain times of the day to sin, working sin into their schedule. They look at sin, they read about sin, they view sin, they talk about sin, they think about sin and ultimately commit sin.
Jesus Christ has already died for our sins. Jesus will NOT die again for our sins. Jesus died once for sin, never to be repeated.
After we receive salvation, Jesus will NOT die on the cross again, for the remission of our sins.
So what can the saved do to receive forgiveness after they sin? Pray, confess our sins, repent of our sins, and ask God for forgiveness.
God says if any person sins after they are saved, that they have an advocated with God the Father, who is Jesus Christ the righteous. Jesus Christ is our advocate to take away and forgive our repented sins.
Some people may say, "I don't have to follow God's laws, I don't have to follow the 10 commandments, because I'm saved anyway, whether I obey God or not. I can know God without obeying Him." This is NOT what God says about His children.
Many people believe that they can "know God", but live an unrighteous life, and even though they live purposely and willfully in sin, but this is NOT what God says.
God said if you know Him, then you will obey Him and you will keep his commandments, you will keep and do the word of God.
How do we know God? We know God by doing the will of God, by obeying His word, keeping all of His commandments.
No one can know God, except through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
As the shepherd knows his sheep, as so does Jesus Christ know His own.
Jesus knows who are His. As believers of Christ we hear the voice of our shepherd, Jesus. Jesus knows us and we know Him and follow Him.
Believers know God because He dwells with us and in us.
Who doesn't know God? The lost of the world does NOT know God and those who do NOT do the works of God. Unbelievers may know of God, but they do not know God intimately through salvation, in their hearts.
Evil knows of God, but does not know God intimately and personally, because evil does not accept God as the only God, and does not accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour over its life. The devils know that there is one God (James 2:19), but refuse to accept the One God as their God and Saviour and Lord of their life. Evil chooses to remain in unbelief.
What will happen to those who do NOT know God?
Do you want to KNOW GOD? Receive salvation and obey God and follow Jesus Christ, so you too can know God.
Works do NOT save anyone, because God says that we are saved by grace through faith, but God also says that our genuine faith, saving faith, produces good works. Obedience toward God, maintaining good works, fruits of the spirit are produced by true saving faith.
Faith is a gift from God. Everyone is given a measure of faith, the gift of faith, the ability to have faith in God to salvation.
Faith is NOT works, because it is a gift from God. Faith produces obedience, which are good works.
We are all saved the exact same way, by grace through faith we are saved - and NOT from our works. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Salvation is the operation of God, totally performed by God by His grace alone. Salvation is the gift of God that we receive when we choose to place our faith in Him alone to save us, to give us eternal life.
Faith is from God, not of ourselves. Our faith received from God, when placed in God results in Him gifting us His salvation.
Through faith we are made the children of God by His gift of salvation by His grace. Faith in Jesus is the access door to salvation. Without faith we have no salvation.
God forces no one to receive His gift of salvation. God forces no one to use their faith to believe in Him. But if we choose to place our faith in Him for our salvation, then we can receive His gift of eternal life.
Is obedience works? The good works of obedience are produced by faith. Obedience works are not works to gain salvation, but are produced from salvation. Because we have received the salvation of God we are able to produce good works.
God tells us all in His word, that we have no works to give to God before we are saved. Absolutely nothing, no works we have are acceptable to God before we are saved. Any works that we think we have to offer and give to God, are unaccepted by God before salvation. We are all unrighteous before salvation. We are made righteous through salvation, not before. All of our works are unrighteous before we are made righteous through salvation.
Only after we are saved, do we have good works to give to God, therefore we cannot be saved by our works because we have none to give.
The word of God reads that we are saved by the grace of God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. The word of God reads that we are NOT saved by works.
Too many people do not read the rest of this chapter of scripture.
Too many people falsely believe that since this verse says that we are NOT saved by works, that God does not want us to do any works.
The grace of God alone saves us. God saves us, nothing else. We are saved by grace through faith.
We are not saved by faith AND works, but by grace through faith. It is true that we are NOT saved by faith and works. Faith plus nothing equals salvation. Faith and works do not save, BUT true faith always produces good works.
Faith and works are partners, good works flow from faith.
Righteous living, godly living, good works are a product of genuine faith.
God not only says that His children will have good works, but that we are ordained to walk in good works.
Can you have faith without works? God said no. Good works always follow faith.
Faith without works is dead. Faith without works is non existent. Without works your faith is dead, does not exist.
Works follow faith. Good works are the product of genuine faith. True faith produces good works.
We know that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1), good works are the evidence of true faith. Faith is not seen, but good works are.
The children of God are created in Christ Jesus unto good works.
The children of God love God and are to be eager to do good works and zealous of good works.
If we believe in God we are to be careful to maintain good works. Obedience to God is a choice we make every day.
Good works are not automatic, God says that we are to be careful to maintain good works. Good works are maintained carefully. We must purposely choose to pursue good works and maintain good works for God.
Genuine faith is action. Faith is used every day by the children of God. The children of God exercise their faith every day of their lives. Our faith grows by actively using our faith. True faith, genuine faith is godly living.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. We must listen to what God tells us, we must submit to God and obey God to have faith.
Hearing the word of God, does NOT mean just listening to some preacher, it means hearing the word of God through our daily conversation with God, through our prayers and daily worship with God, and reading and mediating on His word.
The children of God are known to the sinful world by their works, how we live our lives separated from the lust and sin of the world.
To serve the Lord and to obey God is to do what He says, which is trusting and believing, having faith in God in all things and through all circumstances of this life. Faith and obedience to God are not separated.
Believing in Jesus Christ is trusting what He says in His word, obeying God. Faith in God is believing that He is all He says that He is (Hebrews 11:6).
As breathing is to life, so is good works to faith. God breathes life into every creature that is born. Without breathing we die. We don't think about breathing it is a natural action of life. God breathed life into every living creature. Breathing is produced by life.
Good works are produced by faith. Good works are the evidence of faith, faith which cannot be seen. Good works are produced by the spiritual action of faith.
Genuine faith produces good works, good fruit, the fruit of the Spirit of God, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22-23). The fruit of the spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, these are the acceptable works to the Lord (Ephesians 5:9-10).
Faith in God is not automatic after salvation, we must all choose to remain steadfast continuing in the faith, faith to God, faith in Christ Jesus.
Obedience to God is not automatic, we must all choose to obey God before and after we are saved.
Good works are work, we must purposefully choose to maintain carefully our good works, never ceasing but always increasing, until we reach our Heavenly home.
Only the devil promotes sin. Only the devil condones sin. God has and will never promote or condone sin.
God tells us all that we can be partakers of sin, or we can be partakers of righteousness, but we can't be both.
The children of God, whosoever is born of God, the born-again, do NOT choose unrighteous living, do not choose to commit sin.
If you receive the salvation of God and you abide in Christ and seek God, then God promises that you will have His power to overcome sin in your life. The saved in Christ choose to live every day in faith to God, to live righteously, and we choose to walk away from sin.
As children of God, we choose to submit ourselves to God and depart from sin and resist the devil, and by doing this God promises to us that the devil will flee from us (James 4:7). Yes, through the gift of salvation, God gives us power to overcome sin and all the devil's tricks and temptations, and send the devil far away from us.
Sin is serious bad works. Sin separates anyone from God. Sin is unbelief in God. When we sin, we are saying that we don't believe in God, we don't believe in God's truth, we really don't believe that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
If you are living in sin, pursuing sin, willfully sinning against God, the word of God reads that you are a child of the devil, whosoever doeth NOT righteousness is NOT of God.
When a person is saved, they become a new creature, old things, the old life of sin are gone, passed away and all things are become new. Why? Because the saved are in Christ and there is no sin in Christ.
No one can be saved and live for sin. You either live for God, or you don't. You either have faith in God to salvation, or you don't. You either serve God, or you don't. You cannot be saved and be living in sin every day.
Continually and purposely sinning, planning to sin is willful sin and is not accepted by God of His children.
The children of God are NOT to sin, ever, for any reason.
Just as the lost sin on purpose, the saved in Christ live righteously on purpose. We must pursue righteousness, godliness, holiness, purposely follow the ways of Christ every day of our life.
As believers of Christ we must die every day to sin, submit our lives to God every day, depart from sin every day, turn our minds from sin to God every day, diligently, fervently pursue Christ, seek God every day of our lives.
Even though we are saved, as long as we live in our earthly flesh we will be tempted by sin. Being tempted by sin is not sin, but yielding to the temptation is sin. Sin is not sin until we yield to the temptation to sin. When we give into sin, then we have committed sin. Living out sin in our minds is sin. Willfully viewing others committing sin is sin. Planning out sin in our minds is sin.
Departing from sin is NOT automatic with salvation. God does not promise that after we are saved that we are removed from the temptations of sin in this world, in fact God promises us that we will be tempted by sin. But by the grace of God, He gives us the power to overcome all sin in this world, and for every day of our lives on this earth.
God promises to give all His children a way to escape all temptation and sin presented to us. God promises that there is NO temptation that is greater than we can bear and overcome with His help. (1 Corinthians 10:13).
God does not leave us after salvation, but God is with us every day to strengthen us, help us, guide us, love us, stand with us, loving guiding us home to Him.
God asks us not to sin, but if we inadvertently sin, we can receive forgiveness, if we sincerely are sorry and repent of the sin. Inadvertently sinning is not planning the sin.
If we love God - we keep His word. If we know God - we obey God. If we know God - we keep His commandments.
The will of God is for all people to obtain His salvation (1 Thessalonians 5:9).
It is by obeying the will of God that we receive the salvation of God. We are all saved the exact same way, by the grace of God through faith in God we are saved (Ephesians 2:8). We become the children of God through faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26).
By grace through faith we are saved (Ephesians 2:8). We either have faith in God, or we don't. We are either saved, or we aren't. We are either the children of God, or we aren't.
The saved, the just live by faith every day to God. Through faith we abide in God every day.
God makes it very clear to everyone, that only those who ABIDE in Him receives eternal life and only people who DO the will of God receives eternal life.
God tells us NOT to be DECEIVED, don't believe the devil's lies, if we DO NOT abide in God, if we DO UNRIGHTEOUSNESS we will NOT SEE HIM.
Eternal life is a gift from God that is given freely by God to ALL people who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ and who abide in God the Father and the Son, through living in faith day to day (Romans 1:17).
We can receive the promise of God, which is eternal life, because we continually abide in the Father and the Son.
We know that any unrighteousness is sin.
There has only been one perfect man in the history of the world, the Son of man, the Son of God, who is forevermore Jesus Christ the LORD.
Through Jesus, our perfect Saviour, all the believers of Christ are made perfect through Him. No one is perfect apart from Christ Jesus. No one is saved apart from Christ. We are either with Christ, or we are without Christ. If we choose to stand on our own, apart from Christ, abiding in our selfish ways and sin, instead of abiding in Christ then we are without Christ and without salvation, without eternal life.
Am I perfect? Not in the standards of the world, but since I am a child of God, I have been made perfect through the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
If I depart from Christ, forsake God, turn my back on Jesus, depart from the faith, deny Christ, fall into unbelief, I am no longer made perfect, because I have separated myself from Christ Jesus.
I am perfected through Christ, by Christ, and in Christ. If I separate myself from Christ, I am no longer perfect. Christ makes me perfect, with Christ I am saved, without Christ I am nothing.
As a believer in Christ we are all to constantly seek perfection. By submitting ourselves, our lives to Christ daily, we remain in the faith, we live by faith, we obey His perfect word.
We are only made perfect through Jesus Christ, no one else or nothing else can make us acceptable to God (Ephesians 1:5-7).
How can we seek perfection in God? Through reading, studying, mediating on His word, through fellowship with God in prayer and worship. Seeking God. Loving God.
God gave us His word to thoroughly furnish us with instruction in righteousness so that we may be perfect.
As believers of Christ we are to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Christ Jesus through salvation began a work in us to be completed by Him when He returns for us.
We must remember that without Christ we are nothing (John 15:5; Galatians 6:3).
Through the grace of God, we are made perfect through Christ Jesus. This does not mean we are to run around telling everyone that we are perfect, that would be committing the sin of pride. We are not perfect, Christ Jesus is perfect, and through God's gift of salvation we put on Christ, we put on perfection through Christ.
Every person is saved the exact same way, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:8).
All believers are the same in the one body of Christ Jesus and are equally saved. No one is more saved than another person, no matter who they are.
All saved people, all who abide in God, are made perfect in one Christ Jesus.
There is one salvation, by one God, received in one body of Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:17; 12:13).
God will judge the lost AND the saved. God will judge the just AND the unjust. God will judge the righteous AND unrighteous. God will judge ALL people. No one is exempt from the judgment seat of God.
We will all stand before God and be judged by God for what we have done in this life, for all the choices that we have made in this life on earth, for every word we have said, and for every deed that we have done.
The only way to receive the gift of God, everlasting life, is to believe in Jesus for your salvation, believe that He is able to pass you from death to life eternal in the Kingdom of God.
We are all saved the exact same way, by the grace of God through faith in God.
This is a sad myth that some people falsely believe, that our God of love, would only let a set number of people into His Heavenly Kingdom.
God does NOT say in His word, that Heaven or hell or any place that He created, is limited to a set number of people.
God has no limits. The Kingdom of God has no limits on admission.
Man should never place limits on God. Doctrines of men, false teachers, false prophets put limits on God.
God is limitless. God is boundless. God created everything and everyone on this planet and in the universe.
God is love and loves all people that He created. God wants all people of the earth to spend eternity with Him, in His Kingdom of Heaven. All people include billions of people. God desires that we be, where He created us to be, which is with Him.
I find it amazing that some people could actually believe that God Almighty sets limits on His Kingdom of Heaven based on human calculations. God does not think like we do and God does not see things like we do, God's ways are not our ways. God's ways are past finding out.
If all the energy these false teaches place on spreading lies, were placed on learning the truth, they might actually realize the truth and be saved.
Please don't worry over what false prophets say, or false religions preach, or the false rumors spread by servants of satan that twist and pervert the Holy Word of God (1 John 4:1; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Acts 13:10; Galatians 1:7). Know the truth, believe the truth, trust God, not man.
Believe in God, not in man. God says, "Whosoever believes in Christ Jesus for their salvation will be saved" (John 3:16). Only people who do NOT believe in Jesus will NOT be saved (John 3:18; 8:24).
No specific number of people saved or people in Heaven was ever given by God. God tells all people that WHOSOEVER believes will be saved, but never a specific human based number.
God said that the saints of Heaven are so great a number, that no man can number. Don't learn what man teaches, learn what God teaches.
Throughout His word, God said great multitudes of all types of people believed and were saved, but God never gave a final, total number that would dwell with Him in His Kingdom for eternity (Acts 14:1; 17:4).
Heaven is a great multitude which no man can number.
God says that the number of the saints in Heaven is a great multitude, which no man can number (Revelation 7:9).
Eternal life with God in His Kingdom is available to as many people who believe (John 3:16).
Anyone who has accept God's gift of salvation through faith in Christ Jesus is sealed with the Holy Spirit and promised by God Himself to spend everlasting life in His Kingdom of Heaven (Ephesians 1:13).
The truth is Jesus Christ died once and for all, for all the people of this earth, and He will NOT die again for the sins of men.
False religions of this world make vain sacrifices, some even going as far as to say that Christ is dying again for their sins. Only God can manifest God. No person can place God into any object.
The word of God reads that absolutely no one but Jesus Christ can take away sins.
God died once for all times, in the flesh, for the sins of all the people of the world. And we are promised in the Word of God that He will NOT ever die again. Halleluiah!! Praise the Lord!!!
God says in His word, that Jesus Christ died once, dieth no more, He died to sin once never to die again, but lives forever.
Jesus gave His life so that we all might receive salvation from sin and death. Jesus rose from His grave to life so that we too could receive a resurrection into new life, everlasting life in the Kingdom of God forever.
God states to all people that we are NOT to have any graven images of anything.
God states to all people that we are NOT to have any likeness of anything.
What's the big deal? What's the harm in having holy statues? There is great harm in having such things and God has never changed His stand on prohibiting any graven image, any likeness of any thing, and He never will, because God does not change.
Graven images of the likeness of things have been around since the beginning of time and have always been prohibited by God. God has never and will never condone the use of graven images of any one.
Why can't we use graven imagery? People are forbidden to use graven images because it is sin against God. Using graven imagery, any likeness of anything is an abomination to God. Graven images, idols, statues are forbidden by God. Graven images promote worship to that image, which is idolatry. Graven images promote worship to someone other than God.
God tells us all that we are to worship Him in spirit and in truth. God tells us all that we are NEVER to worship Him with any graven image, any likeness of anything.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED, God states that all people who use graven images in worship are NOT worshipping Him.
Handling of statues, graven imagery, is serious with God and will NOT be overlooked by God for any reason, nor from any person.
Having statues, idols, making idols, owing idols, coveting idols, using graven imagery, desiring graven images, worshiping idols is idolatry and is forbidden by God.
When in doubt, do without.
Sin is never condoned by God. God does not abide in sin. God does not live in sin or with sin. No sin is accepted by God, for any reason, by any one, at any time.
Once a person is truly saved by believing in Jesus Christ, and by confessing Jesus is the Son of God, and by trusting Jesus to be their Lord and Saviour of their lives, and by repenting, which is turning away from sin, that person's sins are forgiven.
When a person has received the free gift from God, eternal salvation, God removes all their past sin from their record. When we receive salvation, and ask for forgiveness for our sins from God, ALL our past sins are forgiven by God. In fact, God says they are "remembered no more". (Hebrews 10:17)
God blots out all our past sins, erases all our sins, and does not remember those past sins any more.
Yes, ALL our sins are erased in that one moment when we are saved.
Too many people believe that after salvation, after all their sins are forgiven and washed away by the blood shed by Jesus on the cross, they say that "it doesn't matter what they do the rest of their life, because they are saved". Some may think they can sin all they want too because of salvation. Some people falsely believe that they don't sin after salvation.
This is NOT what God says. It does matter to God how you spend the rest of your life after you are saved.
The operation of salvation, set us free from the bondage of sin and death. The gift of God enables us to have victory over sin and death through Christ Jesus.
Salvation is NOT a permit to sin and be forgiven by God. Salvation is NOT a get out of hell free card.
God tells us we must all do the will of God for the rest of our lives; and that the will of God is NOT sin, the will of God is to abandon sin, abstain from fornication, the will of God is that we do NOT sin, that we cease from sinning.
The word of God tells us that only those who do the will of God will ever see God, live forever in the Kingdom of God, enter the gates of Heaven.
DO NOT be deceived, only people who do the will of God forever will abide forever, which is inherit the Kingdom of God, and enter Heaven.
Yes, the scriptures do say that we must cease from sin and do the will of God forever, for the rest of our time, which is for the rest of our lives here on this earth.
Repentance is turning away from sin and is required by God in order to receive salvation. If we do not turn away from sin, we do not turn to God.
God commands ALL people everywhere are to repent. I don't know how much clearer God can say it, Everyone everywhere are to turn away from sin, are to repent, that includes you and me and every other human being in this world.
God doesn't suggest that we repent, God commands us to repent.
Unless you repent, God says that you will perish.
Either we repent or we perish, God makes His commandments very clear to all people. Repentance is NOT an option.
Repent NOT and die or repent and live, everyone has the same choice.
Don't repent and die or repent, turn away from sin, and live eternal.
Without true repentance, a change of life away from sin, you CANNOT receive eternal life.
Only true repentance, a change of life away from sin, brings remission of sins to salvation. We must repent and turn away from sin and we must turn to God and do and live a life of repentance.
The sorrow of the world worketh death. The world doesn't have godly sorrow, their repentance is not genuine. The world may be sorry they were caught in sin, but not sorry for the sin. Their repentance is not from their heart. They have not truly repented, because they continue in sinning.
As the children of God, we can't just say that we are saved and have repented, we must live our lives in the service of Christ, our lives must reflect Christ, the world must see by how we live and what we do in our lives that we truly have repented, that we have turned from sin.
Salvation is repenting from sin, turning away from sin and turning to God, turning from satan's dominion to God's dominion.
God never said that it was okay for anyone to sin after salvation.
The fact is that God tells us since we are his children, that we as the children of God we do not commit sin.
Please Note: Repentance is not "works" toward salvation, no one is saved by works, we are NOT saved by works but by the grace of God through faith in God. Repentance is born out of salvation, repentance is a result from our faith in Christ Jesus.
Faith in Jesus produces repentance, forgiveness, godliness, righteousness, truth and love. These are the fruits of the Spirit of God within us, not works.
Good works are the product of salvation, not the reason we receive salvation.
Salvation is a gift from God, we can't earn it by doing good works, no one can purchase their salvation by doing something for God.
But you may say, everyone sins and no one can avoid sin. This is NOT what God says in His word.
Let's look at what is written in the word of God.
How do the children of God, the saved, avoid sin?
When we are saved we receive the power of God. There is no greater power than the power of God. God has eternal power.
What do you think you could do with the power of God? Anything, right? Including avoiding sin.
Nothing in this life, nothing in this world, nothing in this universe, nothing is more powerful than God.
Through the power of God, the children of God, the saved, avoid sin.
The word of God reads that we make mistakes, we do err because we do not know the scriptures and we do not know the power of God.
We are weak, but through faith we live in Christ by the power of God.
Believers of Christ, we are KEPT by the POWER OF GOD through FAITH to SALVATION.
We are kept by the power of God and with His power we can do anything, and we can avoid sin.
How can we avoid sin? Through the power of God we can depart from sin. We must avoid sin, run from it, depart from evil.
NOTICE the scripture does NOT say, live in evil and do sin and you will dwell for evermore.
If you fear the LORD God you will depart from evil. To fear God is to take Him seriously.
God's plan is simple. God promises that if we "submit to Him and resist the devil", then "the devil will flee from us".
But, sometimes just walking away from sin - departing from sin - is difficult.
The word of God reads that when we pray to Him that we are to pray that we do NOT enter into temptation. We are to ask Jesus to keep us away from the temptation of evil.
"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" this is in the Lord's prayer, which is our example of prayer given to us by Jesus, the Son of God.
We are to watch out for evil and avoid it and we are to pray to Jesus to keep us away from evil and the temptation of evil.
Our spirit is ready to avoid temptation and evil, but the flesh is weak. We need to take control of our flesh by realizing that we have the power of God in us to avoid committing sin and even the temptation of evil.
With the power of God we can control our flesh from sinning.
Absolutely nothing is impossible with God. Anything is possible with God.
In our natural flesh man finds avoiding sin impossible, but for the saved, our spiritual man has the power of God and ALL THINGS are POSSIBLE WITH GOD.
Man puts limits on God, but God is limitless. God does NOT have any limitations.
God commands us, "DO NOT to sin".
As believers of Christ Jesus, we have the knowledge of God, so we have no excuse, we are to awake to righteousness, do righteousness and NOT sin.
If we DO NOT SIN we will live, but if we live in SIN we will die. God promises all people that the wages of sin is death.
Some people say, "but the devil has power over me, that's why I can't avoid sin?" This is NOT what is written in the word of God. If you are saved, only Jesus Christ has power over you, no one else.
The devil, satan, is alive and in this world, but satan does NOT have power over the children of God.
The children of God have the power of God dwelling in them, and God is with them.
Greater is God that is in you, than satan that is in the world. God is greater than satan.
God is in His children, and is greater than the devil that is in the world.
As the children of God, we should never forget who we are, that we are of God and that we abide in God and God abides in us.
Many people claim the verse in the bible that says all people are sinners, therefore they say, it is okay that they sin, because "we are all sinners". Some even take it so far as to say that God expects us to sin. This is NOT what God said.
Look at the scripture above, it says, "for all have sinned", past tense. This scripture is to reveal that all mankind has sinned against God, that no human being is sinless, no person born is without sin.
This scripture is stating our sinful condition in the eyes of God, we have all sinned and fell short of the glory of God, and therefore need His salvation to cleans us from all our sin. Without realizing that we have sin, which this scripture states, then there would be no need of salvation. We need salvation, because we have all sinned.
Sin separates all people from God. No one can be reconciled to God without the removal of their sins. No one can see God with sin, our sins must be purged to see God. Jesus paid the price to remove all our sins on His cross. Jesus made a way for us all to be reconciled to God and to live with God for all eternity.
SIN is NOT the will of God for mankind. Sin was never the will of God. SIN is NOT the plan of God for our life, because sin separates us from God and sin equals death.
The end of sin is death, and has always been death (Romans 6:23). God does not change, He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The promises of God do not change (Hebrews 10:23), all people will reap what they sow (Galatians 6:7), God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). From the beginning of the world, the wages of sin has been death, and the word of God remains true forever (1 Peter 1:23).
God says when we receive true salvation, ALL our sins are washed away, the children of God are sin free, just as Christ.
Without God we are sinful, full of sin and corruption, but With GOD we are set free from sin. Salvation gives each of us victory over sin (1 John 5:4). As the children of the Most High God we have power over sin through faith in Christ Jesus.
Overcoming sin is a gift from God when we receive His salvation. Overcoming sin is not automatic with salvation. Overcoming sin is powered by the grace of God through faith in Jesus, we must submit ourselves daily to God, abide in Christ daily, live in faith daily in order to retain the ability, the power to overcome sin, and thereby receiving eternal life with God (Revelation 21:7).
Overcoming sin cannot be accomplished without Christ Jesus. Because we believe and have faith that Jesus Christ overcame sin and death in this world, we too are given power to overcome sin and death of this world (1 John 5:4-5).
Through salvation we are able to put on the righteousness of Christ Jesus. God does not see our sin as long as we have the righteousness of Christ covering us. We have the righteousness of Christ Jesus as long as we have faith in Jesus. Apart from Jesus we have nothing, we are nothing without Christ. Without Christ we are without salvation. If we abide in Christ we abide in God, because we are Christ's and Christ is God's.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED, our sinful man cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Corruption will NOT inherit INCORRUPTION. A sinful man cannot enter the kingdom of God. We must put on Christ to enter into the Kingdom of God. Receiving the salvation of God is the only way to put on Christ (Galatians 3:27). We abide in Christ through faith to salvation.
God is without sin. Christ Jesus is without sin.
God is incorruptible. In order to see God, be with God in His kingdom for eternity, we must put on incorruption, we must put on Christ. The only way to put on Christ is through salvation. We put on Christ by faith in His salvation. We put on Christ through faith, which is gifted to us by His grace. As long as we abide in Christ, live in faith to Christ Jesus, we abide in His salvation. Without abiding in Christ we have nothing and are nothing.
Through the love of God and by receiving His salvation by grace through faith, we can put on incorruption by accepting and receiving His Son Jesus Christ into our lives as our Lord and Saviour, who forgives us of ALL of our sins and changes us from corruptible to incorruptible.
By grace through faith, through salvation we are born again of the incorruptible God.
Only when we put on Christ we put on incorruption.
We either have Christ, or we don't. We either abide in Christ, or we don't. We either are living in faith to God, or we are living in unbelief. Abiding in Christ, putting on Christ, is living in faith every day of our lives, from faith to faith, the just, the saved in Christ live by faith.
Salvation is a choice every person must make themselves. Living in faith is a choice every person must make themselves. God tells us all that the just, the saved in Christ, live by faith to Him every day, continually, steadfast, all the days of our lives. Salvation is a lifetime journey of faith to God, not a religious word.
The children of God are NOT sinners
DO NOT BE DECEIVED, if you are living in sin, if you are caught up in sin, if you are consumed with sin, if your life revolves around sin, if you think about sin constantly, if you plan sin and seek out sin, then you are NOT right with God.
The unrighteous, all who sin willfully, are NOT of God. DO NOT BE DECEIVED, the unrighteous will never see God, will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God, will never enter the gates of Heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9).
Before we receive Christ we are sinners, "for all have sinned".
We were ALL made sinners by the disobedience of the first man of creation, Adam. And we all were doomed to death because of Adam's sin.
By the obedience of one, Jesus Christ, the Son of God we are made righteous, we are made sinless by Christ Jesus, through Him.
We were sinners, but when we ask and receive Jesus into our lives as our Lord and Saviour, our sins are forgiven and washed away.
Christ is NOT the minister of sin, Christ is the minister of salvation.
Believers of Christ are crucified with Christ, believers are dead to sin like Christ. Sin and unrighteousness are dead in the lives of believers, because Christ Jesus died for our sins, He died to set us free from sin and death.
Jesus Christ died for our sins. Christ put on all our sins, Jesus was beaten for our sins, Jesus was tortured for our sins, Jesus was crucified for our sins, Jesus died on His cross for our sins, Jesus died so we could live, He rose from His gave so we could live, and live in righteousness to God. Jesus died on His cross so that we could be saved, reconciled to God, justified, sanctified, washed, renewed, made whole and worthy to be called the children of God, and live with God in His love for all eternity.
Our sins are forgiven, we are healed by the stripes Jesus took for our sins, by the whips He was beaten with, that tore and ripped His flesh. We are redeemed by the blood that Jesus shed for the forgiveness of all our sins, so that we might through faith in Him receive everlasting life in His kingdom.
The next time you are tempted to sin against God, picture in your mind, Jesus Christ beaten, whipped, His flesh torn and bleeding, hanging from His cross for your sins, so you could be reconciled to God, so that you could receive eternal life, so that you could have victory over sin and death.
Christ didn't die on the cross so that we could live in sin, NO Jesus suffered for us so that we could live in righteousness here on earth, separated from sin unto God, and so that we could live forever in the Paradise of Heaven with God, with Jesus Christ our LORD for ever and ever.
Many people falsely believe today that their "religion" or that their "church" is the only true religion and/or the only true church, and that only through "their religion" or "their church" or "their belief" can anyone be saved.
Religion saves no one. No church organization saves anyone. Being a member of a particular religion or group cannot save you, because only God saves people. Belonging to a church saves no one, because only God saves people.
God saves, none else - not religion, not church, not any person, not any organization, not rituals, not ceremonies.
Faith in any "religion" cannot save you, because only faith in God saves.
Faith in any "church" cannot save anyone, because only God alone saves people.
Idolatry is faith in any other thing or being, other than God. Placing your faith in trust in anything or any one other than God is idolatry. Idolatry is not only bowing down to graven images, God states in His word that idolatry is placing anything before God.
God says in His Holy Word the true "church" is His children and not a building or religious organization, those who through faith in His Son has come unto Him, and asked Him for His salvation, for His saving grace.
There is not any specific "church" that God wants people to belong to. (Church here meaning a religious system, a religious denomination or group, like Baptist, Catholic, etc. and not the body of Christ.)
Any group of people, or religious organization, that promotes "their church" as the only truth, or way to God, or who promotes their religious beliefs as the only way to God, are living in error, they believe a lie, because this is NOT what God says in His Word.
No one owns God. No one on this earth owns exclusive rights to God. God owns us, we do not own God. God is not subject to any one group or organization.
The only church God recognizes is His church, His people, His chosen, which are His children, which is "the body of Christ", all His people who are saved by His grace through faith in His Son to receive His salvation.
The only head of God's church is Christ Jesus, His only begotten Son, and no one else (Colossians 1).
God saves people. Works save no one. Works give salvation to no one. No one can work their way into salvation before or after salvation. Salvation comes from God alone, not by any works we do, before during or after we are saved.
All believers have good works, but we are never saved by them. Works are a product of genuine salvation, but never the cause of salvation.
Many people falsely believe that they must work their way into heaven, but this is a myth because God says that we are NOT saved by any "works" that we might do.
Many people falsely believe that they must be a missionary, or perform certain duties or tasks to fulfill the requirements of salvation, but this is NOT what God says in His Holy Word, God says that the works of salvation have already been performed, fully completed, and finished by Christ Jesus, His Son, on His Cross.
No works are required before salvation and no specific works are required after salvation to keep it, because God says that our salvation is kept by Him alone through faith.
As long as we maintain faith in God, our salvation is kept by God through His power.
Faith is not works, because our faith is a gift from God by His grace alone. God gifts us all with a measure of faith to believe in Him to the salvation of our souls (Romans 12:3; 1 Peter 1:9).
Salvation is received from God by His grace through faith in Christ Jesus. We are saved by grace through faith, and nothing else.
The operation of God saves us. We are saved by the grace of God alone, through faith in Him to save us.
Salvation has and always be contingent on obeying God and His Word, which is that we are saved by grace through faith.
Salvation has and always will be conditional and a partnership, a covenant between God and each of His children. To remain in the salvation of God we must remain in faith to Him.
Faith is the condition of salvation, our faith in Him to save us and give us eternal life.
Without faith in God there is no salvation, because we are all saved the exact same way, which is by the grace through faith.
God's grace never fades. The grace of God has always been with God. There was not a time where God was without His grace.
Our faith, on the other hand, has not always been with us. We choose to have faith in God to salvation. Our choice to believe in Jesus to save us is faith.
When we place our faith in Jesus to save us and give us eternal life, then and only then can we be saved. There is NO salvation without faith in God, that He is who He is and that God is able to save us. Faith is believing in God without actually seeing God, faith is believing that there is one true living God, Creator of all things, who can and will save us from sin and death. Faith in God is believing that He is all that He says that He is in His word, that He is the one truth, that He is the one way to eternal life, that He is the one who loved us so much that He died on His cross to save us and give us eternal life.
Without faith it is impossible to please God. If we are without faith, we are in unbelief, and without God.
When we ask God to save us, we come to Him in faith that He is able to save us and that He will save us because He said He would if we ask Him through faith.
The grace of God that saves us enables us to obey God and follow the ways of Christ Jesus, by continuing to live in faith.
God says that after we receive His salvation we are born-again, we become a new creature through faith in Christ Jesus, we put on the righteousness of Christ, we receive the power of the Holy Spirit which enables us to obey and to serve God.
God is love. When we receive the salvation of God, we receive His love and forgiveness of all past sins, which changes our heart and mind toward God. We become one with the family of God, and if we continue in faith toward God, we will grow in faith and forever be changed.
This change of heart through salvation by faith, produces obedience to God.
Salvation enables us to follow Christ, pursue the righteousness of God, live by faith, and experience the fruit of the Spirit.
God says that we know that we are His own, His children by our change of heart, our change of mind, our change of attitude, our change of life, because we are a new creature in Christ, a new spirit filled creation.
There are many things that God requires from His children after they receive His salvation. Through faith we are able to perform all the duties of the children of God. Faith is not works, no one works their way to God. Faith enables us to obey God. Faith produces obedience to God.
God requires His children to continue in the faith all the days of our lives (Acts 14:22), love the Lord God with all your heart (Deuteronomy 10:12), live by faith (Romans 1:17), walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7); walk in His ways (Deuteronomy 8:6; Romans 6:4), fear the Lord (Deuteronomy 10:12), keep all His commandments (Deuteronomy 5:33), live in love for all mankind (Ephesians 5:2), forgive others for all things (Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 3:13), share His word and share His love (Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 3:16), support the poor and help the needy (Psalm 82:3), worship God only in truth and in spirit (John 4;24), shine the light of Christ within us to this dark world (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:15), study and learn His Word (1 Timothy 4:15; 2 Corinthians 3:3), live and do His word (Luke 8:21), abide in Christ (John 15:4; 1 John 2:28), be holy (Leviticus 11:44; Ephesians 1:4), be gentle and kind (Ephesians 4:32), be separate from the sin and lust of this world (2 Corinthians 6:17; John 17:16), be longsuffering and patient (Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:9), fellowship with God and seek Him daily (1 Chronicles 16:11; Psalm 105:4), pray with God (Psalm 5:3; 6:9), assemble and worship with other believers (Psalm 111:1), follow Christ (Luke 9:23; John 10:27), patiently wait and watch for Christ's return (Luke 21:36), and in all things give thanks and glory to God the Father through Christ Jesus to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever (1 Peter 4:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Eternal salvation is promised by God to all people who come to Him in faith, trusting in Him to save them from sin and death, through faith in Christ Jesus.
God also promises that no one will enter into His Paradise, His eternal Kingdom, everlasting Heaven, without faith (Hebrews 11:6; 3:19).
Faith is required by all people to receive eternal salvation (Hebrews 5:9).
We are all saved the exact same way, which is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). The grace of God saves us, through faith in His Son to salvation (Galatians 3:26).
A current, personal relationship with Christ Jesus through faith is required by God in order to enter into His Kingdom for all eternity.
Only with an active current faith in Christ Jesus will you receive the end of your faith, which is the salvation of your eternal soul. (1 Peter 1:9).
Abandoning the faith, departing from the faith is entering into the sin of unbelief. Only the saved in Christ can depart from the faith, because the lost are not in the faith to begin with. To depart or leave salvation you must have had it at some point.
Unbelief is sin against God, because whatsoever is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23). Partial faith is still unbelief. Although, small faith is still faith (Matthew 17:20; Luke 17:6).
God says in His word that during the last days some (believers) will depart from the faith and enter into the sin of unbelief (1 Timothy 4:1). For someone to "depart from the faith" they must have been in faith. Entering into unbelief is a choice, just like remaining in the faith is a choice. When you are in the faith you are faithful. When you enter into unbelief you are unbelieving. Unbelievers are lost souls and will not receive the eternal salvation of God.
All people who abandon their faith, all people who do not continue in faith, all people who do not remain steadfast in the faith, all people who do not hold onto the faith, all people who depart from God, all who abandon God, all who deny Christ and turn away from the faith, all who depart from the faith, the unbelieving will NOT see eternal life. (Revelation 21:8). Do not be deceived, anyone with unbelief will never receive salvation.
We must remain in the faith all the days of our lives, steadfast in the faith, unmovable in the faith, continue in the faith grounded and settled, in order to receive eternal salvation and the promises of God (Colossians 1:23; Acts 14:22; 1 Corinthians 15:58; Luke 1:75; ).
Faith is NOT automatic. Faith is a gift from God, given to every person born on this earth. To be in faith we must use our faith.
We are either believe, or we don't believe. When we choose to have faith in God to save us, we use our faith and we are in faith. When we choose not to have faith in God to save us, we are not using our faith, we are without faith, we are in unbelief.
We are either living in faith to God, or we are living in faith to ourselves or someone or something else. Living in faith to God is a choice, that the saved in Christ make every day of their lives. We choose to live in faith.
Living in faith is not automatic, it is a choice when we first receive salvation, it is a choice all throughout our lives, living in faith is a choice we make until the day we die.
The just, the children of God, the saved in Christ Jesus, live by faith every day of their lives (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38).
DO NOT BE DECEIVED, unbelief separates anyone from God for eternity (Hebrews 3:12).
Unbelief cancels out anyone's faith and anyone's salvation. (Romans 11:20)
Just as we choose salvation, God says that we can choose unbelief through an evil heart and therefore we choose to depart from the living God, separating us from the promises of God (Romans 11:20).
The children of God can avoid entering into unbelief through exercising their faith every day, by seeking God every day, by reading and mediating in His word every day, and through prayer every day.
If we ask God, He promises to help us not fall into unbelief, "Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief" (Mark 9:24).
There is hope for those who have fallen into unbelief. God says if they believe, turn away from their unbelief back to the faith, and do not abide in unbelief, then He is able to graft them in again (Romans 11:23).
God urges us not to stagger from His promises of eternal life into unbelief, but to be strong in the faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:20).
The problem for all who depart from the faith is that many who enter into unbelief, never come back to God, they never believe in God again, and they are cut off, broken off from God forever, lost forever in the lies and deceit of darkness (Romans 11:20).
The scriptures tell us that people depart from God. God does not promise that if you leave Him, that you will be able to come back to Him. This is not because He would not take you back, but that you might never find your way back to Him. Sin hardens your heart, closes off your heart from hearing the truth of God and hearing God call you to Him (Hebrews 3:8, 13).
God will NOT force you to accept His salvation, just as God will NOT force you to remain in the faith.
Faith is available to all people, but God does not force us to live in faith. Living in faith is a choice, we must all make for ourselves.
God does promises to help us all remain in the faith, by submitting ourselves to Him daily, by abide in Christ, and by obeying His word.
We start by remaining in the faith by loving God. By loving God we will submit ourselves to Him and want to be in a daily relationship with Him. By maintaining a relationship with Him we abide in Christ. By abiding in Christ we are empowered to be able to obey His word.
It is God's will that all mankind accept and receive His salvation, but He will NOT force us, because salvation is our choice.
Remaining in faith toward God is our choice, just as receiving salvation is our choice.
The decision to receive and remain in the salvation of God has always been and will always be our choice - by grace through faith we are saved.
We are made partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning of our confidence, remain in the faith, steadfast unto the end (Hebrews 3:14).
Every human being has the same choice to receive and remain in the faith or not, to choose death through sin or choose life through faith in Christ Jesus, and God says "choose life"!. (Deuteronomy 30:19)
KNOW what God says about them. Learn the word of God. Memorize the word of God. Write God's words on the tables of your heart.
Be prepared with the truth of God to give an answer to those who spread lies about God and His Word.
Jesus says that we err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God (Matthew 22:29).
Know the ways of God, fellowship with God through prayer and worship, seek answers from God. Build your faith, strengthen your faith through wisdom, understanding, and knowledge from God and His word.
In love, be ready at all times to defend your faith and beliefs in Christ Jesus.
In order to tell others the truth of God, you must know it yourself. Know the Word. Know the truth of God. Only through a personal relationship with God can you know His will, know His truth and follow His will.
Anyone who alters the word of God, and does not repent of their sin, will be eternally separated from God, will face eternal damnation.
We must be so careful, not to lean on our own understanding, but lean on God, learn from God, seek the understanding and wisdom of God.
We must never alter the word of God for any reason. God will accept no excuse for sin.
God not only wants us to know His word, but He wants us to live out His Word every day!
