This is a Bible study on Biblical Myths. Click here for a printable Bible Study Guide.
False doctrine, perverting scripture, any doctrine contrary to the Gospel of Christ, any doctrine contrary to the word of God where people say "it is in the bible" but is NOT, are biblical myths. God teaches us all through His Word, that we are to diligently seek God and seek the truth of God, we are to study the Word of God, so that we can know the truth of God and know when lies are being told. Seeking God, diligently seeking the truth of God is a lifetime journey. We are never to stop learning from God, seeking God, seeking His truth, seeking His knowledge. We are to pray for God to open our eyes to His truth, pray to keep us centered on His word, His knowledge, His wisdom. Only God can give us the truth of Himself. The knowledge and truth of God comes from God Himself. We must place all our trust in God to supply all our needs, supply all knowledge and truth of Him. We receive the truth of God through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks to our spirit, giving us the truth of God. The truth of God is in God, and received through the Holy Spirit, through faith in Jesus Christ. God has all power over His word. God has supreme authority over His word. No earthly human being has authority over the word of God. No earthly human being owns the word of God. The word of God belongs to God. No earthly human being can give revelation of God's word. The revelation of God, which is the Word of God, is given by God alone. God alones reveals His truth to us through the Holy Spirit that dwells inside the children of God, through faith in Jesus Christ. The interpretation of the word of God by any human being, should never override the revelation of God Himself that we receive in our own spirit.
We have all heard certain things in our lifetime, that we are told are biblical, but when we search out these teachings or scriptures in the Word of God and seek God's guidance, we learn that they are NOT the truth of God, are not the truth of the scriptures, but a lie, a biblical myth. There are many myths about the word of God today, here we will list a few. Most cults today are based on biblical myths. Using the Authorized King James Holy Bible, we will refute these myths concerning the Word of God.
The word of God never changes, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The truth of God is revealed through His word, not in just one verse, but from beginning to end, from Genesis to Revelation. The Old Testament is fulfilled in the New Testament and the New Testament adheres to the Old Testament. The Old Testament supports the New Testament and the New Testament supports the Old Testament, both then and today. Scriptures support each other from Genesis to Revelation.
Nothing is contradictory, nothing is in error, nothing is left out, in God's word. Every letter and every word is from the hand of God and every jot and tittle will be fulfilled.
Not some chapters, not some verses, but ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God. ALL the word of God comes from God Himself.
God Himself put His own words into the hearts of those who wrote the scriptures. The gospel pleased God. The words God placed in the hearts of those special men, hand picked by God, were not their words but the words of God, that God placed inside their hearts.
The scriptures were not their own interpretation of what God said, NO the scriptures were not of any private interpretation of these men, but were the words of God, unfiltered, unaltered. These men who penned the scriptures, wrote the words that God gave them to write, not by their own will, but by the Will of God the scriptures were written.
The scriptures contained in the Word of God are the words of God, placed in the hearts of those who wrote the scriptures. The scriptures were penned by the hand of man guided by inspiration of God. The scriptures were not the private interpretation of the men who wrote down the words of God, but the scriptures were the gospel inspiration of God Himself. The scriptures were not the words of the men who wrote them, not by their own will, but the scriptures came by the will of God, written by inspired men of God, as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. The inspired men of God, who wrote down the gospel that God placed into their hearts, were physically unable to pen anything other than what God gave them to write down. The scriptures are not the words of any man, but the words of God Himself. Through the scriptures we are given the revelation of God, exactly as He wanted us to receive it. God is the author of His Word.
Every letter, every word was given to us by God Himself, for our instruction, so that we may come to the knowledge of God through salvation by faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Many people believe that the Bible does not apply to them today. Some believe that civilization today is different and the Bible is not necessary. Many people believe that the Bible is for children stories and old people soon to die. Many professing Christians believe that they are not required to read and study the Word of God. Some people believe reading the Bible once in the past, that they know enough and do not need to read any more.
Every day we are to be careful, take heed, that we do not harden our hearts when we hear the voice of God, that we do not fall into sin and an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God. Today we are to hear God's voice. Today we are to exhort one another. Today we hold steadfast to the faith. Today we are partakers of Christ. Our salvation is TODAY!
The word of God is our armour against evil and sin. Temptation is all around us every day. We must be equipped to withstand the arrows of sin, that come flying at us every day, to harden our hearts and separate us from God. In order to use the armour of God we must know what it is, and we can know what it is by staying in the word of God. As the children of God we are not left alone to fight the good fight of faith against the devil, NO God gives us the power of His might, the sword of the Spirit of God which is the word of God. The word of God is for us today, to give us strength and power that we may know the truth of God, be set free from sin and death, receive abundant life, receive eternal salvation.
The word of God is powerful. The word of God contains power, power to seek and to save, power to heal, power to receive the knowledge of God. The words of God are alive today, powerful today just as they were when they were first written down. God has not changed, the power of God has not changed, the word of God has not changed, God and His word are the same today as yesterday. The word of God will be forever. The word of God will never die, will continue throughout eternity.
It is up to us to take hold of the truth of the word of God and accept it by faith and through faith receive the knowledge that God wants to give us.
God is perfect, God left nothing out of His word for us. God gives us complete instructions how to obtain His righteousness through His Son, Jesus Christ, and inherit all things pertaining to His Glory. The Word of God was given to mankind for our instruction in righteousness, to learn about God and that we may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Jesus came to give us life more abundantly and in Him we are complete (John 10:10; Colossians 2:10). The Word of God does not contain every detail about God, as it would take more books than this universe could hold (John 21:25), but the word of God is complete in that it contains everything that God intended mankind to have and use for understanding everything that God wants us to know now. God reveals Himself through His word to mankind, this is the perfect way that He had planned for us from the beginning of time. The Word of God is complete and therefore no other words may be added to or subtracted from the Holy Word of God (Revelation 22:18). For more information see The Word of GOD
Many people have tried, but no one has ever proven any error in the Bible. Evolution is the science that all creation, everyone and everything, evolved from something else. The Bible is the science that all creation, everyone and everything, was created by the Creator, God Almighty. Remember, that "science" means "knowledge", but is not necessary factual knowledge, as in science fiction. And we must realize that the knowledge of man is not superior to the knowledge of God. Knowledge of man's ideas is not the knowledge of God. We should not confuse the word "science" with "fact". Evolution, as humankind evolving from another species or something else, cannot be proven. There is not any evolutionary proof that man or animals evolved. There is conjuncture based on facts, but no factual evidence that man or animals evolved. Evolution cannot be proven and will never be proven. Evolution science is not factual and cannot be supported by facts. Evolution is pure science fiction. The Bible can be proven, and is factually and scientifically proven by new discoveries every day. New scientific studies throughout history have proven the accuracy and truth of the Bible.
Our faith in God is based on the truth of God, revealed to us in His Word and in the believer's spirit, only through salvation can we understand the truth and receive the knowledge of God, the truth of God written on the fleshy tables of our hearts, when we accept His Son as our personal Lord and Saviour. Our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5).
Can someone be a Christian evolutionist? No, because the one cancels out the other. In the beginning God...
The Bible states that God is the only Creator of all things. The theory of evolution does not place God as the Creator of all things.
There is only one revelation, the revelation of God, given to all people, in His written word, His Holy Word. Jesus Christ is the revelation of God to humanity. The full Godhead is presented to humankind through the Son of God, Jesus Christ. All that God is, was placed in Jesus for all the world to know. The revelation of God is through His Son, Jesus Christ. No person can come to the knowledge of God, see God, except through His Son, Jesus Christ. There is only one Creator of all things, one author of righteousness, one author of salvation, our Lord God Almighty, Father of all. God is the same, yesterday, today and forevermore. Never changing, constant, and faithful to all His promises. All the revelations of God are contain in His word, not our words, but His words. There is only one reality of God, one realm of God, one reign of God, one rule of God, one Heaven of God, one Kingdom of God, one Lord, one Faith, one Saviour, one Salvation, one Head, one Church, one Rock, one Christ, one Body, one Hope, one bread, one Calling, one Master, one Spirit, one Almighty, one Father of all, one Creator, one baptism, one salvation, one Word, and there is only one revelation of God, and that is the one from God Himself, not man. The Word of God is not the interpretation of man, but of God. No private interpretation. There is only one interpretation of God's word, His interpretation. This is why it is of utmost importance to conduct your own personal Bible studies with God. God is able, all by Himself, to reveal His word to you, directly and personally. You need no one but God, to know God. An outsider is not required to interpret the word of God to you, as many have been led to falsely believe. You need no other book, or books to know God, except His divine Word. Studies aides are to be helps, along with the Holy Bible, not a substitute for it. If read all the religious books in the world written by man, you are still not reading God's word. The word of God is found in His Book, not the books of man. If you must read other people's books, make sure it is balanced with the reading of God's word. Actually it should be more reading in God's word than in any other book. Satan promotes new revelation. Remember it was satan's new revelation that God is not great, that God is not the Almighty Creator, that he was just as good as God, that cast satan out from Heaven, to be separated for eternity from God. Be very careful listening to "new revelations" from people. Remember satan is the author of new revelation, he wants everyone to believe that he is as good, or better than God, and once you believe in the new revelation from satan, your destiny is the same as his.
Don't forget that the word bible means book. Don't let the fact that someone studies or believes in the bible fool you, because there are many "bibles" in the world today, and they are not all from God. All religions today have a book that they go by, a list of beliefs from which they teach, but not all religions believe in the Holy Bible written by God. Many religions use the Holy Bible, in addition to other printed materials, man's written words, their man-made personal beliefs. New bibles - Every year there are new bibles published by man. If a religion says that they teach the bible, go by the bible, make sure you look at the bible that they are using. Some religions have rewritten the Holy Bible of God, to reflect their own beliefs, changing the word of God, by adding to or subtracting the words of God. Rewriting or rewording the Word of God to fit your personal beliefs is condemned by God Himself. We don't need a new and better bible, we need to read what has already been written by God. Nothing man can write is better than the word of God. Camouflage religions - Some false religions trick people into believing that their religion is good and right, by saying they go by the teachings of the Holy Bible of God. Even showing them scriptures in the same bible that they may already have, but in addition teaching their own beliefs, with the camouflage of righteousness. These camouflage religions falsely teach that you can believe in other things, along with the beliefs in the Word of God. Other doctrines contrary to the word of God should never be used. Belief in the Word of God and other doctrines that are contrary to the word of God is unbelief in God. Do not be deceived, the words of God are the supreme authority, not the words of man.
As stated above in myth 7, all bibles are NOT the word of God. Today you can buy the Scrapbook Bible, but it would not be the word of God. Remember, the word "bible" means book and any person can write a book. Just because a publisher prints the word "bible" on a book, does not make it the word of God. We must look past the title and see the content of the book. There are many resources on the internet to distinguish the different translations and versions of the Holy Bible that are published today. There are many and I am not going to list them all. I personally use the Authorized King James Holy Bible. I find it easy to read and understand and I hear God speak to me through these scriptures. The scripture comes alive in my spirit when I read God's word out of this translation. I have other translations of the Holy Bible in my library for reference, but I study out of the Authorized King James Holy Bible. I use commentaries of scripture and bible dictionaries and I read other religious books, but my main source of reading God's word is through His scriptures from the Authorized King James Holy Bible.
As we find in myth 8, there are many bibles, but there is only one way to God, through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We are made heirs of God by one way only - through Christ.
We become the children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
One is alive unto God only through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We are only alive to God through Jesus Christ.
The gift of eternal life is through Jesus Christ. Life with God is only found by going through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only door of salvation that leads to the One True God Almighty (John 10:1).
Salvation is gifted by God through faith in Jesus Christ.
All who believe in Jesus for their salvation will not die, but receive eternal life.
God loved the world so much, that He gave us a way to Him, through His Son, Christ Jesus.
Love is God sending His only Son to us, to die for our sins, so we could be with God today and for all eternity.
God's desire is that the world be saved through Jesus. We are saved through belief, we are saved through faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
There is no other way to God the Father except through God the Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
If anyone enters through Christ, believing in Him for their salvation, they will be saved.
Salvation is the gift of God, by His grace through faith. Our God is the God of peace, and gives peace to His own. What kind of peace could we have if, we were not given assurance of His gift? That's right, not much peace. God not only gives us assurance of our salvation, but He gives us FULL ASSURANCE, without a doubt, blessed assurance to His beloved. God would never plant the seed of doubt into any of His children. All good things come from God above. Doubt of our salvation is not a good thing. Doubt of salvation does not come from God. When we can realize the source of doubt and fear, only then can we deal with it and remove it from our lives. Remember, it is the goal of the devil to steal your joy, your hope, your salvation. Be mindful of the tools of the devil, fear and doubt. If we are doubting God, then we are not trusting God. Don't fall for the tricks of the devil.
How do we remove doubt from our lives? Simple, submit to God. God promises us, that if we submit ourselves to Him and resist the devil, then the devil will flee from us. When we submit ourselves to God, give ourselves to Him, surrender all our cares and worries to Him, trust God, He will give us peace. Trusting God removes fear and doubt. For more information see - ASSURANCE
There are many myths about what the bible says and what the bible doesn't say, this is just one. To a believer, it is like saying the bible says there is no God. Of course it does, that's the whole message!!
Belief in God is through faith, faith that He is God, and that God is all who He says that He is in His word, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. God gives Himself to us through His Holy scriptures. The Word of God, the Holy Scriptures gives us God. Through the word of God we given the truth of God, the complete and holy truth of God. From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals the mystery of Himself to us all who place their faith and trust in Him. Without faith the truth cannot be revealed. We must exercise faith to receive the knowledge of the truth of God. We are all given a measure of faith by God to come to the knowledge of the truth of Him. Some people do not exercise their faith and choose NOT to come the knowledge of the truth of God, forsake God, and choose to live in unbelief. Knowing of God and knowing God are two separate matters. The devil and his angels know of God, know who He is, know about Him, but they refuse to know God personally through faith in Him. To come to the knowledge of the truth is to accept God through faith as Master of your life. Submit to God and obey His teachings, believe in Jesus and follow the ways of Christ is faith. Knowing about Jesus and what we should do is not living by faith, is not knowing Christ personally as your Saviour and Lord. Faith comes by hearing the word of God, spoken in truth heard in your heart. From the moment we are born, the instant God breathes life into us and makes us a living soul, He calls us to Him. God calls every person to Him. God wants all of humankind to come to Him. God wants all men and women everywhere to come to Him, to obtain salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
God calls us home to Him through Jesus. All people are born seeking love, yearning for the love of our Creator. We seek love our entire life. We are incomplete and search to be whole. We have a void in our live, a hole, and emptiness that must be filled. We seek completeness. We seek love. God calls us. When we decide to answer God's call, we find love, the love of God which completes us and makes us whole. Some people go their whole life without answering the call of God. They refuse to listen. They put Him off until later. They refuse to accept Him into their life. They refuse to give their life to Him. They refuse His love. Their life remains incomplete and void. And if they continue to refuse God they will die without Him, and spend eternity without the love of God, never satisfied, never full, always thirsty, only empty and dark, void of all hope, void of love. The Word of God is full of scriptures that call Jesus, God, here are just a few:
God tells us all in His scriptures, that the Word is Jesus, the only begotten of the Father.
Jesus Christ the Great God
There is only one God returning for His own one day - and He is Jesus Christ the Great God. The word of God not only tells us that Jesus is only begotten Son of God, Saviour, Lord, Master, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but that our Saviour Jesus Christ is the mighty God, the great God. Christ will return one day to this planet Earth and collect all people that are His, and we that are His own continue to watch and pray, looking for our Blessed Hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Only God Himself has the power to save anyone, we must have faith in God Father through God the Son to inherit the Kingdom of God and live eternity in the presence of God.
Men invent new religions everyday, persuading others to follow what they believe, creating and preaching other doctrine (2 John 1:7-11). Every person has a choice to believe in men or believe in God, we ought to believe in GOD (Acts 5:29).
Jesus gives hope to the hopeless, salvation to the sinner, victory to the oppressed, life to the dying. Jesus wasn't crucified on a cross so we could have religion. Jesus lived and died and rose again on this earth, so that we could have a relationship with God, be reconciled to God for all eternity through His gift of salvation. We shouldn't confuse religion with salvation. Religion is a belief system. As long as there are billions of people in this sinful world there will be many belief systems, many religions. A person can have a "religion" based on anything, worshiping anything, believing in anything. All religions are not of God, some do not even believe in God. Religion was NOT created by God, or by Jesus, religion was created by man for man. The word of God teaches righteousness and a better way of life through salvation, which is the gift of God, by the grace of God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was a teacher here on this very earth, and He taught the doctrine of God, the ways of God to salvation. "Doctrine" means "teaching". There is the doctrine of Christ, and there is the doctrine of man, which includes many different doctrines.
Jesus has a doctrine, teaching the way to the salvation of God is through Him by faith, which is the doctrine of Christ. Our focus is to be on Jesus, the doctrine of Christ, not on a particular denomination or religion. Our devotion is to be to Jesus, not to a denomination or religion. (Matthew 16:24; Mark 8:34; Luke 9:23; John 12:26; 1 Peter 2:21) We are to submit ourselves to God, not to a denomination or religion. (James 4:7) We are to worship the Lord our God, not a denomination or religion. (Revelation 14:7; John 4:24) We are to love our LORD God, not a denomination or religion. (Deuteronomy 6:5; 11:1; 11:22; 19:9; 30:6; 30:16; Joshua 23:11; Psalm 31:23; Matthew 22:37; Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27) We are to serve others and serve God, not a denomination or religion. (Deuteronomy 13:4; 1 Samuel 12:24; Matthew 4:10; John 12:26; Galatians 5:13; Colossians 3:24; 1 Thessalonians 1:9; Hebrews 12:28; Revelation 22:3) We are to pray to God the Father through His Son Jesus, not to a denomination or religion. (John 14:6) We are to live by faith to God, not faith to a denomination or religion. (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38) The entrance into the Kingdom of God will not be granted because of your affiliation with any denomination or religion. Heaven will not have many gates to enter, one for this religion and one for that one.
There is only one faith in Heaven, the faith of God through Jesus Christ, His Son. There is only one door by which we will all enter into Heaven, the door to God is through His Son, Jesus Christ, there is no other way to God but by Jesus.
There is only one God, one Father, one Son of God, one Holy Spirit, , one Master, one Saviour, one Kingdom, one Word, one faith, one grace, one righteousness, one Holiness, one Christ, one Lord, one church, one body, one King, one Almighty, one Holy, one Way, one Light, one Truth, one Creator of all, one mind, one judge, one Lord Jesus Christ, one bread, one Mediator, one in Christ Jesus.
There is only One Master over all and Jesus Christ is the Master, your Master.
The Lord is one spirit.
There is but One God and One Lord.
God is one.
All the children of God are One in Christ Jesus.
The gift of God, which is salvation, is by grace through faith. Salvation is not obtained by works. The word of God tells us that we are NOT saved by works. God is able to give us His salvation all by Himself, He does NOT need anything from us. We are dependent on God, but God is NOT dependent on us for anything. God's grace is sufficient to save us, without our input, without our works.
Our works are NOT required for salvation. God alone saves. Our works are not required from God for our salvation. Our faith must be in God alone for salvation. By placing our faith in our works for salvation, we are saying that God's grace alone is not sufficient to save us. God does not need anything from us, including our works.
The works required for salvation were finished, completed by the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Through the death of Christ Jesus, all works for salvation were finished. Jesus was the only one who could do the work for salvation. We were worthy enough to do works for salvation. Only Jesus could pay the price for our salvation. Through the shed blood on the cross, through the death of Christ our debt of sin was paid to God, we are redeemed, we are reconciled to God by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. No other works are required for salvation. Jesus paid the price of salvation once for all people. No other debt is owed.
Jesus paid the price for our salvation once for all.
It is finished, the requirements for our salvation and atonement, are finished.
Believing God needs your works in order for you to be saved is NOT believing in the word of God, because God says that He is sufficient to save you by His grace alone. By grace we are saved through faith.
We are saved, justified completely by God, nothing from us is required for our salvation, because God saved us.
Since the beginning of mankind, even Abraham was not saved by His works. Abraham was saved by the Grace of God through faith. Because Abraham had faith in God, that God was who He told Abraham that He was, he was saved. We are not saved by our works, this is repeated over and over in the Scriptures, and there are no Scriptures in the word of God which state otherwise, yet many religions teach the false doctrine that one can be saved by their own works. There are many Scriptures in the Word of God that tells us that we are NOT saved by works, yet many religions choose not to teach the truth of God. We are reconciled to God by grace through faith. We are justified by grace through faith. We are redeemed by grace through faith. We are sanctified by grace through faith. By the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ we are saved -Galatians 3:26. The grace of God alone is sufficient to save all the people of this world, who accept Christ through faith.
God saves. Again, there is not one scripture in the word of God that states one must be emerged in water to be saved. Being saved by baptism is a false doctrine and not supported in the word of God. We are all saved by God the exact same way, by the grace of God through faith. Nothing but faith is required of God for salvation. Some people misinterpret the Holy Scriptures of God, to promote their point of view. There is only one revelation of the scriptures of God, and that is the revelation from God. There is only one interpretation of the scriptures, the interpretation from God.
Unbelief is the only thing that prevents one from being saved by God. The word of God does NOT state that all who are NOT baptized shall be damned; NO, the word of God reads that all people who do not believe in God shall be damned. Unbelief is the only thing that separates man from God, nothing else. We are saved by grace through faith. We are NOT saved by baptism, in any form. We are NOT saved by any works of man. Only the work of God saves man. We cannot do anything to save ourselves, we cannot perform any acts or works to save ourselves from sin and death. Salvation is the gift of God, the operation of God performed on our spirit that saves us. Baptism is a profession of our faith to the world, that through faith in Jesus, we are buried with Christ, have put sin to death in our lives, changed, turned from a life of sin to a new life of righteousness, and risen with Him to life through faith.
Salvation is not gained from baptism, but through faith that God alone saves.
Jesus told all His own to go and teach all nation His gospel, the doctrine of Christ, showing them the way to the Father is through Him. Baptism comes after salvation, showing outwardly that they are saved, accepted Christ Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour, Master of their life, being buried with Christ in baptism, risen with Christ through faith that as He was raised from the dead, so shall we. Baptism is an outward expression, a public confession, that one has accepted the salvation of Christ.
Jesus tells us in the Word of God to "Take heed that no man deceive you." Today, more than any other time in the world, believers must take heed, be careful that we are not deceived by the many false prophets that are gone out into this world. We are NOT to believe every spirit, every preacher or teacher that profess to be of God. It is our responsibility as believers of Christ Jesus to try the spirits, try the teachers and preachers, prove their teachings by the scriptures of the Most High God. But, can true believers of God be deceived, preachers and teachers of God be deceived? God says that they can. God says "they shall deceive the very elect". Believers, those saved in Christ Jesus are the very elect, we are the elect of God, that means us.
Don't think for a moment that you are immune to deception, just because you are saved. Believers are the ones with the target on their backs, not the lost, the devil all ready has them. Satan seeks believers, not his own, to devour, to destroy and to kill.
God and the favor of God have no connection with the material things of this world. The favor of God cannot be purchased, and is not represented by anything on this earth. The riches of God are not found on this planet. This earth is not our home, we are not to be focused on the material treasures of this earth, we are strangers and pilgrims here, just passing through to a better country - the kingdom of Heaven.
The love God has for each of us cannot be measured with earthly things like money. The love and favor of God is eternal not temporal and therefore has a higher value than the material temporal things of this world. Do not be deceived - great wealth is never an indicator of God's love or favor toward anyone.
For more information see Riches and Money Unbelief separates anyone from God.
No one comes to God except through faith. Without faith it is impossible to be with God (Hebrews 11:6). The faithful will inherit the Kingdom of God, NOT the faithless. If your faith is temporary, then your salvation is temporary. We must hold onto our faith until the end. If you die without faith in God to salvation you are lost.
All who turn from God will die in their unbelief and will be eternally separated from God. He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death (Revelation 2:11). Overcomers are believers, those who abide in Christ, who hold onto their faith, stand stedfast in the faith until the end. All who believe in Jesus Christ to salvation will not be hurt of the second death and will inherit everlasting life.
The end of a life lived to sin is eternal death - eternal separation from God, but the end of a life lived to Christ is eternal life (Romans 6:23).
The word of God tells us that all people without faith will be eternally separated from Him. Unbelief cuts anyone off from God for eternity. The word of God lists many things that people without faith do, that separates them from eternity with God.
Believing evil is good and good is evil, living apart from God's word and His will is holding the truth in unrighteousness. Living ungodly, doing and saying what you know is not righteous is holding the truth in unrighteousness.
For anyone who is confused or uncertain as to exactly what is ungodliness and unrighteousness, what is against God's will can be found in Romans 1:29-32. Today this world is filled with people who choose their own path apart from God, haters of God, evil doers who are without natural affection. Many of these people know God will judge them one day, and know the lifestyle that they chose to live is worthy of death, but they choose to take pleasure in doing them anyway.
God promises that we will all be judged and we will all receive our just reward. If we choose to forsake the right way, God's way, we are gone astray. If we love unrighteousness, we will receive the wages of sin, which is death, eternal death, eternal separation from God.
Do NOT be deceived unbelief separates any person from God. Unbelief, forsaking God, denying Christ, forsaking salvation, departing from faith, serving other gods, worshiping other gods, turning away from God, will separate anyone from eternity with God.
The unrighteous are apart from God and since they have chosen to live apart from God they will not inherit His kingdom. All people who are unrighteous will not be with God in the world to come.
God promises that what we choose in this life will be rewarded in eternity. If we choose to live apart from God here on this earth, we will live apart from God in eternity, what we sow we will reap.
The word of God never changes, it is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and states that the wages of sin is death. One last word, remember who told the first man, that nothing you can do can forfeit your salvation? Who was first to say to man, "ye shall NOT surely die", even when God said they would for unbelief? That's right, the devil, the serpent said this to man in the garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:4) The devil has been whispering this lie to man ever since, saying, "don't listen to God, you won't surely die". Don't believe a lie, believe the truth, believe in God.
We all must do the will of God the Father, which is to obtain salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, to enter the Kingdom of Heaven (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Galatians 3:26).
The will of God is clearly shown to all mankind throughout the word of God, and revealed especially to the children of God through salvation (Hebrews 10:7; Ephesians 5).
Obtaining the salvation of God, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, is the will of God (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Ephesians 2:8). The will of God is not a secret, because it is proclaimed all throughout His Holy Word. The will of God is for all mankind to come to the knowledge of the truth of God (1 Timothy 2:4), to obtain salvation through faith in His Son Christ Jesus, who died for us on His cross so that we might receive everlasting life, giving thanks to God by Christ Jesus, and to live a holy righteous life, abundant life through following Christ all the days of our lives. (Colossians 4:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:18; 2 Timothy 1:1; Hebrews 10:36; 1 Peter 2:15, 4:2)
The will of God is that we be where He created us to be, which is with Him for all eternity. Our salvation and deliverance from evil, sin and death is the will of God (Galatians 1:4). To depart from sin, to separate ourselves from sin, to abstain from fornication is the will of God (1 Thessalonians 4:3). To give thanks to God for all things and in all circumstances is the will of God (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We can only do the will of God through Christ Jesus, sincerely from our heart (Ephesians 6:6). The will of God is that we continue in the faith through Christ Jesus, that in the end we may stand perfect and complete before our Creator, our Lord and our Saviour (Colossians 4:12). God is perfect and His Holy Word is without error, it is inerrant. The Holy Bible is more than a mere book, as it is the living Word of God. God promises to all that all of His Word - every jot and tittle - will be fulfilled (Matthew 5:18).
The Word of God is the revelation of God Himself to all mankind. God is able to make even a child understand His precious word, come to the knowledge of truth, and receive His salvation. There is no man greater than God. For a mere man to claim to possess the true meaning of God's Word is false. God promised all people His understand and wisdom, not just a select few. Many people are misled by false teachers and false prophets, because they do not know what is in God's Holy Word, and don't care to take the time to find out for themselves what God has told them and given them. Jesus Himself told us that we err, because we do not know the Scriptures, nor the power of God (Matthew 22:29). God gives everyone His gift of understand and wisdom to comprehend His Word and know its meaning (1 Corinthians 2:10-12). Before we are saved, God gives us the ability to understand His truth so that we can be saved. After we are saved, we receive the mind of Christ so that we can understand the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:13-16). The more we grow in our daily walk with God the more we understand the things and plan of God for our lives. Do not expect to know God or the things of God, if you are not saved and if you do not spend time with Him. Through salvation we are all given the Holy Spirit to teach us all things about God, God's word, and to show us all things we need to know (John 24:26).
God gifts all His children the power to understand God and His word through our own personal individual anointing of the Holy Ghost. Understanding about God, the things of God, the truth of God comes first from God Himself through the Holy Spirit - His Spirit teaches our spirit. We learn and grow in the knowledge of God by spending time with God, with Jesus, in prayer, in worship, in meditating on and in His Word.
