Healing

This is a Bible study on Healing.    Click here for a printable Bible Study Guide.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.  Jeremiah 17:14

Remember, GOD answers all our prayers.  Sometimes what we think is a "no answer" is merely a "wait answer" or a delayed "yes answer".  God is perfect and God's timing is perfect.  God knows all things, He knows everything past, present, and future.  God has everything under control.  There is no greater power than the power of God.  God can do anything.

All healing comes from GOD alone.  God is solely responsible for all healing.  If you have received the salvation of God then you have been healed.

What is Healing?

The dictionary defines healing as to become whole or sound; get well; to restore to health or soundness; cure; to effect the cure or remedy of, as a wound is closed or broken bone is knit together; to remedy repair, or remove; to free from an evil or distressing state or condition; purify; cleanse.

An example, that everyone can share is when we have a bad cold.  If we go to the doctor and he gives us medicine for our cold, we received a remedy to cure us from our illness.  The medicine counteracts the virus, makes us rest to repair our bodies, and make us whole.

As we all know, modern medicine cannot cure every illness in everyone.  A person can still die from a cold, even in today's modern world.

Sometimes the only cure for us, has to come from a higher power, from the power of God, who is the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, our Lord God.

What illnesses can GOD heal?

God heals our bodies physically.

God is all powerful and there is no illness that God cannot heal.

God is the Creator.  God created all things.  God created human beings.  There is no one better able to heal any creation, than its Creator.

God made us, He put every bone, every muscle and every organ in its place.  There is no one who knows how everything works in our bodies, better than God, because He put our bodies together in the beginning, He is able to heal.

God created our bodies and He can heal our bodies when they are sick, even if our illness is not physical.

Sometimes our illness may not be physical, we may have emotional problems that need healing.  God can heal our sick hearts and our sick minds, just as He can heal our physical illnesses.

God can heal our bodies in all ways:  physically, mentally, and spiritually.

God heals our spirit.

When we are saved by the grace of God through faith in God, we receive spiritual healing.  Our earthly sinful spirit is reborn into a new heavenly godly Spirit, we actually receive the Spirit of God in us.

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:  That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. Ezekiel 11:19-20

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.  And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36:26-27

God heals our minds.

Mental illness effects a large population of this world today.  Depression is a mental illness, that many times goes without treatment.  Most everyone knows someone who has some form of mental illness today.

The world does not promise you a sound mind, but God does.  Yes, God promises all of His children a sound mind.  God promises to heal our minds.

As the children of God, we are given the power of God through Christ Jesus.  As the children of God, God gives us a sound mind.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Can someone other than GOD heal me?

There are so many false religions in this world today, which teach that someone other than God can heal them.  Some human beings even believe that they can heal, or can be healed by some person.  DO NOT be deceived by false doctrines, this teaching is not scriptural.

Since the beginning of our time, God alone has breathed life into every creature.

Only God Almighty can heal.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. John 3:27

Our LORD God Almighty is the Creator of all things, and He alone heals.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED.  Everything good, every healing comes from God above.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

Does GOD heal people today?

Yes, God heals all types of people all around the world today.

If we believe the word of God, the scriptures say that Jesus healed ALL manner of sickness and ALL manner of diseases among ALL the people.  And through the scriptures we know that Jesus is the same today as He was yesterday.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Matthew 4:23

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8

Today, Jesus Christ heals ALL sicknesses and ALL diseases among ALL people.

Who did Jesus Christ heal?

Jesus healed more people than we will know in this lifetime.

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. John 21:25

ALL manner of sickness and ALL manner of diseases

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. Matthew 4:24

And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. Matthew 8:7-8,13

And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. Matthew 8:14-15

When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Matthew 8:16-17

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35

Jesus Christ healed me!!  Yes, I personally have been healed many times by the Great Physician, Christ Jesus, Praise God!!  And not only physical, but emotionally, heart, mind, body and soul healed.

I praise my LORD GOD for my healing!!  I thank God that He loves me and heals me!!

We have a true healing, living God, who answers ALL our prayers and heals us and makes us whole.

How can I be healed by GOD?

We are healed the same way that we all receive salvation - by the grace of God through faith in God.

For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? Deuteronomy 4:7

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

According to God's riches in glory by Christ Jesus we are healed.  By the grace of the God Almighty in Heaven we are healed.

God tells us in His word that we receive not because we ask not.  We must pray to God, ask God by faith to heal us.

How do I pray for healing?

Praying for healing before salvation.

Are you saved?  Have you received God's free gift of salvation?  If not, before you pray for physical healing pray for spiritual healing

For more information see - SALVATION

This flesh body is temporal, but our spirit is eternal.  Salvation is much more important than any physical bodily healing.

Why do I need to be a child of God in order to pray for healing?  Because God wants you to obtain salvation.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,  Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4

Numerous people are healed when they are saved.

The Word of God state that if we believe that GOD will save us we can be saved.  If you believe God can save you and give you eternal life, then pray to Him right now.

Prayer for Salvation and Healing:

Dear Father God, I am not sure what I need to pray, but I know I need your salvation.  I believe in you God.  I believe with all my heart that you can save me.  I repent and turn from all sin against you.  I believe in Jesus.  I believe that you alone can save me and heal me.  Please save me, give me a new life.  Please heal my body, my mind, my soul, and my spirit.  Jesus I surrender my life over to you.  I will follow you.  I love you Lord God.

Thank you for your gift of salvation.  I believe in your Word that by this prayer I am now a child of God.  Thank you Jesus.  Help me grow and learn about you.  Help me become who you created me to be.  Thank you. I love you.  I will praise your holy name forever.  In the name of Jesus I pray this prayer.  Amen.

The Scriptures tell us, if we pray to God and believe that He will save us that He will - God promises to save everyone who comes to Him with a sincere heart (Romans 10:13).  If you prayed the prayer above or one similar, you are saved.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.  Jeremiah 17:14

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Romans 10:13

Praying for healing after salvation.

We are to pray to God in the Spirit.  To receive the Spirit of God, we must be saved.  The Spirit of God is given to all people who receive salvation.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Ephesians 6:18

Let your request be made known to God by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6

If to be healed is your request, make it known to God.  The scriptures tell us that we receive not because we ask not.  We must ask God to heal us.

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 3:12

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

We must have faith, ask God in faith to be healed, believe in God, believe that God will heal you; and all things, whatsoever we ask in prayer we shall receive.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. James 1:6-7

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14

We must abide in Christ Jesus.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

We must be right with God.  We must ask for healing from God in faith for the right reasons.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. John 9:31

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14-15

Believers Prayer for Healing:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I praise your name above all names.  I love you Lord.  Thank you Jesus for saving me.  Thank you for all the blessings of this life you have given to me.  I love you Lord.

I come to your throne today to pray for your healing touch.  I need your healing today.  I pray in the name of Jesus that my pain will be removed from me, as far as the east is from the west, forever.  I pray by the power of the blood of the Lamb that all sickness and disease is removed from my body, from my mind, from my soul and my spirit - right now.  Cleanse me and make me whole.

Thank you for my healing.  Thank you Jesus.  I praise your holy name.  Thank you Lord.  By the power of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray this prayer.  Amen.

Halleluiah!  Praise the Lord for His powerful healing power!!

Can I pray for GOD to heal someone else?

Yes, as believers of Christ Jesus we can pray for healing for others from God.  We are instructed by God to pray for others, it is called intercessory prayer, we intercede for someone else.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1 Timothy 2:1

Before we pray for healing for others, our heart must first be right with God.  We must ask God for forgiveness of all our sins, we must repent from our sin, in order to pray for others.  We must forgive all people for all things in our lives, before we can pray for others.

If we know that the person is not saved, we must first pray for their salvation, at any cost.  Their salvation is priority with God over their physical or emotional healing.

Many, many people are healed physically and healed emotionally when they receive salvation.

Intercessory prayer is to be practiced by all believers.  Just as we are servants to God we are to be fellow servants to each other, loving each other, serving others, and praying for others.

How does GOD answer our prayers for healing?

God answers ALL prayers of the faithful.

The word of God tells us that God answers ALL prayers.  For many people, the fact that God answers ALL prayers may be a new revelation to them, you may have been told, or believe otherwise.

So why do so many people say "God didn't answer my prayer"?  There are many reasons why some people may say that God didn't answer their prayers, but the main reason is because they didn't get the answer they wanted, they can't see God's answer.  We may not see the answer because it wasn't answered the way we wanted, or we didn't wait for the answer, but God promises all His children, that He answers all their prayers.

Sometimes we do not hear God's answer to our prayers, because we have set our minds on a different answer.  Sometimes we think God has said "No", when He has said "Wait".  Sometimes God has said "Yes" but we cannot see the answer.  Sometimes God has said "No", but we are waiting for God to say "Yes".

God has always and will always answer prayer the same way.  From the beginning of time, when man talked with God for the first time, to our prayers today, God answers all prayers the same.

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Malachi 3:6

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8

God does not change, we do.  God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  The same God in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve is the same God that answers our prayers today.  The same God that parted the Red Sea, so Moses and the Israelites could escape the wrath of the Egyptians, is the same God who answers our prayers today.

God answers our prayers like He has always:  Yes, No, Wait.

"Yes" answered prayers.

God answers "yes" to billions of prayers every day.

It is a fact, that we have all seen God answer "yes" to our prayers, and "yes" to the prayers of others.

God answers "yes" to our very first prayer, when we ask Jesus to become our Lord and Saviour and forgive us of all our sins.  God answers "yes" and we receive salvation by the grace of God through faith in God.

Our salvation is a "Yes" answered prayer from God to us.

After we are saved, God continues to bless us with "yes" answered prayers.  We are blessed by God with good health, a loving family, healthy children, food to eat and a place to live, in our work, in our jobs, in our businesses, and in our church family.

We must continually thank our Lord God and our Creator for all our many blessings and our answered prayers, every day.  We need to thank our Blessed Saviour for our life, God's love, God's grace and His enduring mercy, every day.

"No" answered prayers.

We also, though the grace and mercy and love of God, receive "no" answered prayers.

God is omnipotent, all powerful, all knowing.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Revelation 19:6

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:5

God is infinite in power and wisdom.  We do not know the future, but God does.  God not only knows the future, but God is the future for all who have faith in Him.

We must have faith in God, always and in all things.  We must know that when God answers "No" to our prayers, that He does know what is best for us

God holds the plan of our life, we don't.  Our life is in God's loving hands.  We must have unwavering faith in God's plan in all areas of our lives.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

When we receive "No" as the answer from God, we must accept God's divine knowledge of the truth.  We do not see the future, but God does.  God was there when our life began, He was with us in our mother's womb, and He will be there when our life ends, to meet us and take us home to Heaven.

God is with us always, looking out for us always, giving us what is best for us, even unto the end of this world.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen Matthew 28:20

With faith in God we accept His divine sovereignty, especially when He answers "No" to our prayers.

The scriptures say we are to praise God in all things, even when we do not understand fully the reason why.  That God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

We must remain in faith with God, through all things in our lives.

Doubting God is NOT faith.  Questioning the wisdom of God's answers to our prayers is NOT faith.  Faith in God during only the good times and when we get our way, is not faith.  Faith is accepting God's will in ALL things.  Faith in God is accepting that His will is beyond our understanding sometimes.  Faith in God is accepting that His way is the best way, even when it does not make much sense to us at the time.

Our faith in God grows with each and every "No" answered prayer, because we are stretching our faith, using our faith in God to guide us in our lives.  Each time renewing our faith, accepting that NOT our will, but God's will be done.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Faith in God is accepting the truth of God, that all things are of Him, for Him, through Him, and to Him.  And to God be the Glory for ever. Amen.!!

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. Romans 11:33-36

"Wait" answered prayers.

Many times we think God has said "no" when in fact He has said "wait".  Too many of us mistake a delayed yes for a no answer, we jump ahead of God's plan for our lives and make a wrong choice that have horrible consequences.

Many times when God answers our prayers with "Wait", we find it harder to accept than when He answers "No".  As human beings we are not programmed to wait.  We are born impatient, wanting instant gratification.

Patience and waiting on God must be learned.  How do we learn anything?  One step at a time.  We are not born running, we are not born even walking, but even when we are small little babies we learn to crawl to get where we want to be, eventually we learn to walk, and then we learn to run.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:1-5

Having faith in God is knowing that God has a purpose for our lives, all things in our lives.  Everything that we do in our lives, is to be done to the glory of God in Heaven.  We are to count it all joy, all parts of our lives, even the parts that we cannot understand.

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:2-4

When we place our complete trust and faith in our LORD God, we can count it all joy!

Understanding God's answers.

When we do not receive the answers to our prayers that we want, it is hard to understand God's answer, we ask "why?".

When we pray for God to heal our loved ones and they die, it is sometimes hard to understand why

When we see the suffering in this world today, by the hands of evil and corrupt men, it is hard to understand why.

When we see wars, earthquakes, floods, destruction of human lives around the globe, it is hard to understand why.

When we ourselves, or our loved ones, suffer with pain, physical or emotional, and pray to God for healing, it is hard to understand why we are not healed.

There are many, many times when we pray to God for healing, for ourselves or for others, and we must wait, it is hard to understand why.

In these times, when we think that God has not heard our prayer, this is where our faith is tried and proven.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12

The children of God, who love the LORD, are promised by God the crown of life.

We must have faith in God in all things, during the good times and the bad times, even when we do not understand why

We must realize that all things are for the glory of God and that we are not promised by God to understand why.  Do we actually think for a moment that we could understand God?

God knows all things, we certainly don't.  Are we so self-centered and ignorant to second guess God?  Do we really think that "our way" could in any way be superior to "God's way"?  Do we actually think any plan we have is better than God's plan?

We are given a measure of understanding of God through Christ Jesus, but we will never fully understand God, until we see God face to face in the Kingdom of Heaven.

God promises that through all things we are given comfort and peace through Christ Jesus.

God gives me comfort when my loved ones die.  When bad things happen to me or other people, I don't try over analyze it or to understand it, I accept the fact that God is in control of my life, and that is enough.

God is enough.  Knowing that my life is in God's hands is enough for me.  I know that nothing, no hardship, no pain, no suffering in my life here on this earth is worthy to be compared to the glory that God has prepared for me, in His Kingdom, which He will reveal to me when I see His face.

This earth, its sufferings, its pain, this earth is NOT my home, this is just a temporary dwelling, this fragile earthly body God gave me is temporary, this earth is temporary, my flesh is not permanent, the suffering of this world is not permanent.

My heavenly body, promised to me by God is permanent.  My heavenly mansion, promised to me by God is permanent, not temporary.  My eternal life is not for 80 years like here on earth, but for 10,000 x 10,000 years and beyond, for eternity in my incorruptible heavenly body, with my Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:  Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body,  according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:20-21

We must not focus on the present, but on the glory of the future.

We must put our lives in perspective.  What is anything in this life, compared to the Glory of God for eternity?  Nothing can compare to the glory we have in God.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

Through the love and mercy and grace of God, we can bear all things, suffer all things, and believeth all things for the glory of God.

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 1 Corinthians 13:7

Through Christ Jesus, we have learned to be content in our lives in whatever stage we are in.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11

One of my favorite scriptures from God is Philippians 4:13, which reminds me every day, that nothing is impossible with God, I have all the strength I need to get through anything because my strength comes from God HimselfGod's strength enables me to do all things, all the things that God wants me to do.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

God is greater than anything.  God abides inside of me.  Through the power of God given to me by grace through faith, I can overcome all things.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Why does GOD let people suffer?

We all know someone who has suffered with pain or a disease.  We have all been touched by someone we know who has died of an illness.

It is hard for people to understand illness and disease.  Many people have asked, "Why does God let people suffer?".

We have all seen the ads for the children's hospitals, full of little babies, children with terminal cancer and other illnesses.

We may visit the nursing homes of the elderly, or know someone in one.  We see older people in pain or dying of diseases.

Why do people suffer, why are so many people living in pain, why do so many people have illness and disease?  How could a God of love allow people to suffer?

Healing in Heaven

It was extremely difficult to see my spouse suffer with a rare, complicated and painful disease.  It was painful to see him suffer and in such pain.  It was painful to see him relapse after being in remission for so long.  I have never felt such heartache and pain when he died, so early in his life.  To see someone so kind, so loving, so young, so good, so intelligent suffer and die, it broke my heart.  My husband was a good person, no bad habits, was kind and loving to all who meet him.  He was generous and patient.  It was hard for me when the Lord took him at early age of 31.  We had so many plans and so much more to do.

God gave me one of my most precious gifts in my loving spouse.  I never knew that kind of love before.  I never knew that kind of joy.  I never knew that I could hurt so much, and live through it.  When you truly love someone who dies, when your spouse dies, you want to die with them, you want to go away with them, you don't want to stay behind and live without them.

I went through the normal stages of grief, the silence, anger, sadness, depression, but I never lost my hope and faith in God.  Thanks to God none of my anger lasted, none of my sadness lasted, none of my depression stayed.  God repaired my broken heart.

Without God I would have become a basket case, I would not have been able to go on.  My faith and trust in my Lord and Saviour gave me comfort and peace through my suffering and pain.  God healed my broken heart.  I will never forget my beloved husband, but I know without a doubt, that all things happen to the glory of God to those who love God.  And I love God!  I don't love God because my husband died, but in spite of it.  Not my will, but thine be done.  I can say that I understand and have faith that God knows best, His plan is perfect, just and true, and that God loves me and cares for me in all the stages of my life.

With God, through God, and in God, I can count it all joy!

So why didn't God heal my husband?  I certainly sent thousands of prayers to God, praying for his healing.  Our family and friends and others we didn't even know prayed also.  I also prayed that God's will be done.  I prayed for my husband to be healed by God's plan.

The truth is God did heal my husband.  He is perfectly healed and in the presence of our Lord and King Jesus Christ.  Hallelujah!  Praise the Lord!!  My husband is healed and he is at the throne of our Father God waiting on me to meet him in Glory.

My beautiful husband is healed, made whole, cured of all disease and has no more pain.  God Himself wiped away his tears.  He is healed and with the LORD God for ever and ever.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4

No one knows how long they will live.  We could die tomorrow, or even today.  Only God knows our future.  We must continually place our faith and trust in God alone, to do His will in our lives, His perfect will.

What prevents GOD from healing us?

We know that God is all powerful, and there are no limits to His mercy and grace.  Is there anything that prevents God from healing us?

God has no limits, but we do.  We place limits on ourselves, and we place limits on God, through doubt and unbelief.

Our trust and faith in God must be without wavering, we must have complete trust in God (James 1:6).

We must also remember that our timetable is not always the best for us, and we must know that God has a better plan than we could ever imagine.

"Not my will, but thine be done", if we genuinely trust in God, if we put our lives in His hands, He will never disappoint us in the end, and He will fulfill all our hopes and all our dreams, and heal us completely.

God sees things we cannot.  God sees the beginning from the end, the end from the beginning.  God has a reason for all He does and the reason is for us.  God is for us, in all that He does, He does it for us, so that we can have the best.  Our best and God's best may not be the same.  God knows what is best for us, even when we don't.   We must always remember that God's ways or not our ways, why would they be - He is God.  Why would we even try to figure God out?  It is pointless.  Everything about God is beyond our understanding - His love, His mercy, His grace, His holiness, His power.

Faith in God is trusting in Him when we don't understand.  Faith in God while we are in pain.  Faith in God while we are sick.  Faith in God when we can't walk, can't talk, can't think.  Faith in God when we have a loved one in a hospital.  Faith in God when we plan funeral arrangements.  Faith in God when we bury someone we love so deeply.

Faith is measured by how it is used.  We are to work out our faith by using it, everyday, in good times and in bad times.  Only by exercising our faith can we be partakers with Christ Jesus.

God is enough.  Many times God is waiting on us to move on.  Leave our illness behind.  So what if we are sick, so what if we have pain, who doesn't, let it go.  Don't let pain become the master of your life.  Say, yes I have pain, but it doesn't matter because I have Jesus.  Jesus is greater than my pain.  Many times I believe God is waiting for us to have the "aha moment".

Nothing that we do can prevent God from healing us.

How can I spot a fake healer?

There have been false prophets, fake healers since the beginning of time.

God gives us many ways in His word to spot counterfeit healers:

1.  They seek their own glory, not the Glory of God (John 7:18).

2.  They ask for money, they are selling the healing of God.  Genuine healing, or any gift from God cannot be purchased with money, or anything else in this world (Acts 8:20).

3.  They are self-promoting, they do not promote Christ Jesus.  (Matthew 16:24)

4.  They misplace the healing in something other than God.  (James 1:17)

5.  They do or say things contrary to the living Word of God (Romans 16:17).

6.  They are not a believer of Christ to salvation.  Only a believer of Christ can receive the gifts of God.

Do not be deceived by counterfeit healers.

Do not be deceived by tricks, miracles, or sorcery.  Even the devil can transform himself into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

Do not be deceived by their knowledge of the Word of God.  Even the devil knows the Holy Scriptures by heart.

Can the devil heal anyone?  Servants of the devil cannot heal anyone.  A demon cannot heal anyone, death is the tool of the minion of satan.  The devil is the father of lies (John 8:44), and all his followers are liars.  The devil roams this earth seeking out people to destroy and kill, not to heal (1 Peter 5:8).

One day the devil will be destroyed by the word of God, and all the evil spirits that follow him, and all the fallen angels, and all the unbelievers of Christ, will receive his same fate (Revelation 20:10, 15).

I would like to say a special prayer today for all who are reading this website who are in need of healing.

Intercessory Prayer for Healing:

Dear Heavenly Father GOD,

Oh, how I love you Lord.  Thank you for your love. Thank you for loving me and blessing me with this life.  Help me Lord be a good steward of your gospel.  Thank you for your mercy and longsuffering.  Thank you for your precious grace and salvation.

I have come to you so many times in need and you are always there to comfort me.  Today I ask, I pray for all the people who are reading this website who are hurting and need your healing touch, your comfort, your peace.  Dear Lord I pray that you will touch their lives, allow them to feel the warmth of your love, and feel your presence surround them.

In the name of Jesus I pray for their healing.  I don't know what they need but you do.  Heal them today.  I pray that they will know without a doubt that you Jesus have touched them today and healed them today.

Dear Lord I ask for your protection, be a shield around them to keep them from harm.  Jesus I pray that today they can reach up from the pit and grab your hand to freedom, to salvation, to your everlasting life.   There are so many who need you today.  So many who need you, who need your help, who need your salvation, who need your healing.

I pray that they will know that you love them Jesus, you died to give them a way out of their lives of pain and sorrow, of hurt and despair.  I pray that those who are without you will ask you to save them today, to come into their lives and be their Lord and Savior, today.

Thank you Jesus for touching and healing all those who asked for your help, right now.  Thank you Jesus.  I love you Lord.  I pray that not another day goes by without them knowing how much you love them and how you will be there for them always.   They will never be alone again.   Thank you Lord.   I praise your holy name.  I pray this prayer by the power of the blood of the Lamb.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.
