Loving GOD today is every human beingís purpose. God created
us out of love to be loved by Him. We are purposed to receive Godís love and
give Godís love. We manifest Godís love by loving others.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved
you. John 15:12
Loving GOD today and loving one another is the greatest gift
we can give back to our Creator.
The Scriptures tell us all that "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but
that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.Ē 1
John 4:10. The Scriptures do not say that love is God, but that
"God is loveĒ 1 John 4:16. God is first, everything else follows
Him. Real love begins and ends in God.
Beloved, if God so loved
us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4:11
God loved us first - before we loved Him and in spite of who we
We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
God gives us His love and
we give our love to God. We show God exactly how much we love Him, through our
obedience to Him, by knowing and doing His Word, and by sharing His love with
But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God
perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. 1 John 2:5
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we
should love one another. 1 John 3:11
God doesnít love only a particular group of people, but God loves all the
people of the whole world.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotton Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. John 3:16
Love is a perfect gift from
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh
down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
Godís written Word is His Book of love - showing His love to all the world -
telling us all about His love for us - telling us how we receive His love - and
showing us how we are to love each other.
Giving, receiving, and
sharing love - Godís love - is what His Book is all about. The greatest
love story ever written are in the pages of the Word of God written and given to
all people of the world - for our learning, our hope and our comfort.
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written
for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the
scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4
1 Corinthians 13 defines love from Godís point of view, not the worldís view. We
are nothing without Godís love; nothing else matters; nothing else has worth
without Godís love. Godís love is longsuffering, kind, without envy and vanity,
without pride, is not self seeking, is not easily offended, thinks no evil,
rejoices in the truth not sin, can bear all things, believes all things, hopes
all things, endures all things for Christís sake, and never fails. Godís love
shared is charity.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the
greatest of these is charity. 1 Corinthians 13:13
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this
is the first commandment. Mark 12:30
God gave all of us this
first commandment for our benefit, so that we might live. God desires that
we be where He created us to be, which is with Him for all eternity.
Without accepting and receiving His love through faith to salvation, we will not
spend eternity with Him. Unbelief separates anyone from God for eternity.
Loving God and
receiving the salvation of God has always and will always be our choice;
we must choose to love God and accept His gifts; God does not and will not force
anyone to receive Him, His love, or any of His gifts.
God tells us that without Him there is no eternal life.
The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have
eternal life. John 3:15
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but
that the world through Him might be saved.
He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name
of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:17-18
All people are saved the
exact same way, which is by the love of God - by His grace through faith in
For we are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Because we have sin our end is death, but God gave us a way out, a way to pass
from death to life, a way out of eternal death. God sets before every
person life and death and God says choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).
God asks everyone to choose
life, but God forces no one to receive His free gift of salvation to life.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved. Romans 10:13
God desires that we love Him, but never forces anyone to love Him. Loving
God is our choice, a choice each person must make on their own
for themselves. No one can make you love God. No one can give you the salvation
of God except God. God desires that we love Him, not because He told us
to, but because we believe that He is all that He says that He is in His
Word, because we trust Him, because we genuinely love Him above all else.
I love God for so many reasons, because of His great love for me, what He
sacrificed for me by His grace and mercy to give me, hope in a better way, hope
in a future, and hope in His love.
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into
the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5
My prayer for you today
is that you too will receive the love of God - like we have - that you will find
hope and comfort in God, that you will love God today and every day.
