Truth comes from God. We must turn to God and to His Holy word for the truth concerning all the things of God.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16
A myth is an opinion, belief, or idea that has no basis in truth.
There are many myths, untruths about salvation. These false teachings have been in this world since the beginning of time and will be here until the end of time. Some myths are about salvation itself, some are before, some are after, and some are in between.
Know this, there is only one truth, the truth of God. All questions about the salvation of God are answered in His Holy Word. The salvation of God belongs to God alone, no one else, therefore no one but God Himself can give salvation or answer questions regarding His salvation.
Salvation myths are beliefs about salvation that are not shown true by the word of God.
If any belief is different than what God said in His word, it is not true. Any gospel or doctrine other than God's is called false doctrine.
The word of God came from God to holy men, who wrote down what God said. The word of God is not any private interpretation from any man, it is from the Jehovah God Almighty, the Creator of the universe.
We must prove everything we believe by the word of God and the Holy Spirit who dwells inside every believer.
The only way to know if something said is true or false is to prove it by the word of God.
There are so many myths in the world today regard God's salvation, in this discussion, we will look at some of the most common myths ABOUT Salvation.
Not all "bibles" are written by God
There are numerous "bibles" in this world today. Just because a book is labeled "bible" does not mean that is it the Holy inspired Word of God, because anyone can publish a book and call it a "bible".
You must be very careful what you read. Do research, do your homework, and know what you are reading.
New revelations from God
God tells everyone in His Word how to spot false doctrines.
One of the most common false doctrines is when men publish additional writings to enhance or go along with the Holy Word of God, that are so call inspired by God or "new revelations from God Himself". This is a clue that it is false teaching, because God says in His word that there are no "new revelations" from Him.
The test for truthful writings is easy, because God said that no prophecy will ever contradict His written word.
Any new teaching must adhere to and align exactly with God's word, to be considered truthful, otherwise it is false teaching, false doctrine. This fact alone cancels out most "new teachings", and doctrines of men. God warns all people to "touch not; taste not; handle not" the false doctrines of men (Colossians 2:21-22).
False doctrine will always contradict the Holy Word of God. A partial lie is still a lie. If one part is false the whole teaching is false. Halfway truth is still a lie. There is no truth in lies, and no lies in truth.
Additionally, no interpretation is required by man, for man to understand the Word of God as given to us in the Holy Bible. There are many false prophets and false teachers who claim that they alone know how to interpret the Word of God, this is not true, because God says that His Word is of no private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). God gave His Word to all men to understand and comprehend, so that even a child can understand God's Word and His revelation and obtain salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15).
The Word of God was given to all men, not just a few men, or certain group of men, but the Word of God was given to all mankind, to come to the truth and knowledge of God, so that all mankind might be saved.
Anyone can understand the truth of God when read from His Holy Word because God promised us to reveal Himself to us through His word.
God is omnipotent, all powerful, and is capable of opening our minds to comprehend His truth, all by Himself, without the assistance of any other person. God is not dependent upon any man for anything, including teaching His word.
Adding and/or subtracting from the Word of God
Many people believe that the word of God is good, but there are other men of God that have written doctrine that should be used in addition to the word of God.
Many people believe that some parts of the word of God do not apply to people today. These people believe some of the word of God but subtract the words of God that they think do not apply to them.
Many people believe that people are unable to understand the word of God by themselves, and that all people must listen to them, their teachings in order to understand the word of God. The fact is, God gave His Word to all men and women, no interpretation was required then, when He gave it in the beginning, and NO interpretation is required now for people to understand His word.
People all throughout time have said that they have received a "new revelation" from God, telling them personally to add to or subtract from the word of God, and have inserted their teachings, their new doctrine as part of the word of God, or in substitute, or in addition to the word of God. This is utterly and complete false teaching, because God said there are no new revelations to be given that would ever change or alter His Holy Words. The word of God will never change, but will live forever.
Some of these people go as far as to say, if there are any contradictions between what they say and what is written in the word of God, that either the word of God is being interrupted incorrectly, or that their belief overrides the word of God. The truth is, that God said that any teaching that contradicts with His Holy Word is false.
Some of these people, who cannot get away with inserting their false doctrine as the word of God, have actually gone as far as to rewrite the word of God to go along with their doctrine, which is damnable blasphemy. In addition, some of these people have gone as far as to call their "manmade doctrine" a bible, or the word of God, which is complete blasphemy.
The word of God clearly states that anyone, no matter who they say that they are (even if they say they received the voice of God or spoke to God or received their message from God), any person who has doctrine other than what is written in the word of God, God says that these people are wrong, they are spreading false doctrine and should NOT be listened to.
No one is to teach any other doctrine, other than the doctrine of God, nothing but the gospel of Christ Jesus.
We are to avoid all people who bring to us other doctrines, we are to avoid all false doctrines. We are not to even let them into our homes.
False teachers, false prophets, false doctrines are the enemy of God; and as with all God's enemies, they will be destroyed by the hand of God at the end of time. All people who have attached themselves to false doctrines will be destroyed, cut off from the Kingdom of God, cut off from the presence of God for all eternity.
It is a most serious matter to change, tamper, alter, twist, pervert the word of God Almighty. God says those who do such things will NOT see life, do NOT have His salvation, will NOT see the Kingdom of God, will NOT enter heaven, God shall take away those people out of the book of life, and they will spend eternity separated from God.
The word of God is the words of our Lord God Jehovah Almighty, the Creator of the universe, the Creator of all humankind. I cannot even comprehend who in their right mind would have the nerve to alter the words of God in the lest.
The truth of God is that salvation is of God, by God and from God alone, and this is stated all throughout God's word, from the Old Testament to the New Testament.
God is salvation and we receive salvation through God alone, none else.
It is popular today to be tolerant of other people, races, nations, cultures, religions, but this doesn't mean we are to abandon or change the truth of God.
It is popular to accept other people's beliefs to the extent of saying "it is okay because it is their own way to God, everyone has a right to worship their god in their own way". This tolerance is what our constitution says, but this is NOT what the word of God reads - big difference.
God teaches all mankind in His Holy Word that there is One God in three - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Only these three -the Father, the Word (Jesus), and Holy Spirit are One God, and there is NONE ELSE. (1 John 5:7).
The will of God is for all mankind to obtain His salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. By believing in Christ Jesus for the salvation of our souls we can receive eternal life, which sets us free from sin and death (Romans 8:2).
God's Holy plan of salvation for all mankind is by grace through faith. No one comes to God by any other way.
The plan of the salvation of God is solely by God's grace alone, through saving faith in His Son, the LORD Jesus Christ.
God made a way for mankind to be saved from sin and death, and the wrath of God, through salvation by faith in Christ Jesus. Faith in Christ Jesus to save you from sin and death, saves your soul. We become the children of God by faith in one God, faith that Christ Jesus can and will save our soul from the wrath of God and deliver us to the Kingdom of God when we die, and give us the gift of God, which is eternal life.
Never lose sight of the fact that Jesus says that NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME. John 14:6
No human being, can see God, see the kingdom of God, enter Heaven, receive salvation, without believing in His Son Jesus, who is the only way, the only truth, and the only one who can give eternal life.
The Son of God, Jesus Christ is the only way to God, the truth, and everlasting life.
The word of God reads that Jesus is the way, and no person can come to God the Father except by Him.
There are many other ways that people believe and follow, but those other ways do NOT lead to God.
So why do so many people claim to have so many different ways to God?
God calls such people False Prophets. False prophets who profess to have a different way to God, other than His Son, Jesus Christ. Remember these can be outwardly good and decent people, but their heart is far from God.
The wages of sin is eternal death in hell. There is only one who gives the gift of God, which is eternal life, who is Jesus Christ our Lord.
Take note to what happens to false prophets and deceivers and all sinners who cannot cease from sin, they shall utterly perish, be cast into hell.
All sinners who do NOT cease sinning, ALL people who have forsaken the right way of following Christ Jesus will in the end receive death, eternal death in the pits of hell. It does NOT matter if you call yourself a "Christian", or what you call yourself, or if you say that you are saved, God is NOT a respecter of persons. God does give His salvation to someone just because they call themselves by a certain name.
"...following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved he wages of unrighteousness"
If you say that you do not know who Bosor is, so you do not follow the way of Balaam, know this that following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor is following unrighteousness and all unrighteousness is sin.
True salvation is acquired in only one way, through believing in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Life is through Jesus.
Salvation is NOT found in any other name, but in Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Salvation is the gift of God that is given by grace through believing, trusting, obeying, serving, following Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
The word of God reads that we are NOT saved by our works, what we can do for God. No one is saved by working for God. Salvation is not a by-product of our doing. Salvation cannot be produced by our works. It is false to believe that salvation is something we earn, rather than the gift of God.
There is nothing that we can do, by ourselves, that can save us, we are saved by the mercy, the grace of God, by believing in His Son, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost, our Spirit in us from God.
Jesus completed all the works required for our salvation on His cross.
Salvation is eternal life and is received only through faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the true God.
Jesus Christ is eternal life. No one except Christ Jesus is eternal life (1 John 5:11). Jesus is the author of salvation (Hebrews 5:9). Salvation is only received by faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26).
There are many myths regarding salvation, and one popular one is that there are many deities, not just one.
God tells everyone in His Holy Word that there is only one Deity, there is only One God, and that there is none else. (Deuteronomy 4:35, 39; 1 Kings 8:60; Isaiah 45:5, 6, 22; 46:9)
Without believing that God is God, and that He is the only God, and that He is the only Deity, you cannot be saved.
Without faith in God that He is the only living Jehovah Lord God Almighty, you cannot be saved. Everyone that is accepted by God believes that He is the Only God. (Hebrews 11:6).
Another popular myth regarding the salvation of God is that it is not free. Many people falsely believe that the salvation of God must be earned by their good deeds, or by their works, or by some means, other than by God's grace alone.
We receive the salvation of God by the grace of God alone, nothing else. To receive the salvation of God you must believe you receive it by His grace alone. Believing in something other than God's grace to save you voids your salvation.
The salvation of God is the free gift (Romans 5:15,18). God tells everyone in His Holy Word that His salvation is free to all people.
The salvation of God is freely given to whosoever, to all people of this world, who come to Him in faith of His salvation.
We are saved by grace, period, nothing less and nothing more. God's grace alone freely saves us through faith.
We are saved by the grace of God alone, nothing else is required. Nothing but the grace of God saves anyone. God Himself is wholly capable of saving us by His grace alone.
The salvation of God is received by us when we accept His grace to save us, all by itself. Faith in the grace of God alone is what saves any person, nothing else.
Faith in the grace of God and other things voids your faith, because God says that we are saved by His grace alone.
Salvation by grace is the plan of God, has always been the plan of God, and will continue to be the plan of God until the end of time.
Eternal life, salvation, the water of life, is freely given to whosoever comes to God through faith (Revelation 21:6; 22:17).
Our salvation was purchased by Christ Jesus on His cross (Acts 20:28). The ransom for our souls and salvation has already been paid through the shed blood of Christ Jesus on His cross (Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; 1 Timothy 2:6). Our salvation has been paid in full by the sacrifice of one Christ Jesus, whose body paid the price of salvation, once for all. (Hebrews 10:10; Romans 3:25; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14)
Salvation is eternally conditional, because salvation is by grace through faith. Current, personal faith in Jesus Christ is the condition required for salvation. Without faith in Christ Jesus to salvation, no one can see God.
We are saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus. We are NOT saved by ourselves, salvation is the gift of God.
We are all saved the exact same way, by faith in Christ Jesus.
Unbelief separates anyone from the living God, no exceptions, even brethren (the saved).
God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34) - it doesn't matter who you are - no one with unbelief enters the Kingdom of God.
Faith in Christ Jesus is the condition for salvation. Without faith there is no salvation. A Christian is a believer in Christ Jesus to salvation, who holds onto their faith. Any Christian who departs from the faith, by any means or excuse, will not see the Kingdom of God.
God tells us in the latter times, some will depart from the faith, giving in to demonic spirits, false doctrines of devils, spreading lies of hypocrisy, making up their own rules of faith (1 Timothy 4:1-2).
Examples of those who chose to abandon their belief in God, their salvation.
Adam and Eve were right with God at first, but when they chose to exercise unbelief, and they were separated from God. Unbelief separates anyone from God for eternity. After they reconciled themselves to God, chose to believe in God with all their heart, with all their soul, and with all their might, they were forgiven.
Only with a repentant heart can we turn back to God from unbelief. Anyone who chooses God will be accepted by God.
The devil started out as one of God's most precious angels. This beloved angel of God chose to enter into unbelief, and was therefore eternally separated from God. Anyone who chooses to enter into unbelief is eternally separated from God.
Judas Iscariot was personally chosen by Jesus to be one of His blessed twelve disciples. Judas chose unbelief over believing in Christ to salvation. Judas allowed the devil to enter into his heart and he chose unbelief and eternal separation from His Lord and Saviour.
Saul was blessed of God, given the Spirit of God, but chose to disobey the commandments of God and chose unbelief and forfeited his salvation.
The scriptures are full of those who after receiving the knowledge of the truth of God, salvation, they then chose to abandon their faith in God, they chose unbelief and ended up eternally separated from the Most High God.
Anyone who with an evil heart enters into unbelief of God, makes the choice to depart from the living God.
The scriptures warns us all to beware, take heed, all brethren, all saints of God, that there not be any of you with an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
God says that we are made heirs with Christ IF we hold the beginning of our confidence, hold onto our salvation, hold onto our faith without wavering, steadfast until the end, then we will receive the promise of inheritance into the kingdom of God, eternal life.
God created salvation as conditional based on faith in His Son, Christ Jesus, to salvation. We only become and remain the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26).
God does NOT hate people. God loves people. God hates sin, not the sinner.
The word of God reads "For God so loved the world", God loved the world so very much that He sacrificed Himself, so that we - the people of this world - whoever believes in His Son - would NOT have to perish - but could receive everlasting life.
God does NOT hate sinners, God hates sin. God does not condone any sin.
God does NOT want any person in the world to perish. God wants every creature that He created to live.
The gift of salvation is a choice every man and woman must make for themselves. Life or death is a choice. Believe in the Son of God, Jesus and receive life. Believe NOT on the Son of God and perish. God says, "choose life"! (Deuteronomy 30:19).
God does not send anyone to Hell. The choice that we make sends us to hell.
Each person chooses for themselves to go to hell, by not believing on the name of Jesus Christ.
Each person chooses where they will spend their own eternity.
Each person has one of two choices -
Every person either accepts God or rejects God.
Everyone who is already in hell, and everyone who is going to be in hell, chose by themselves to go there by rejecting God, they chose to send themselves there, it was their own choice.
All people who knowingly and willfully choose to disobey and reject God choose to go to hell. They know in their heart that they have made their choice to reject God.
God doesn't send people to hell, God shows people how to escape hell, what to do to avoid hell.
God wrote the Holy scriptures to instruct and tell all the world how to receive everlasting life, how to become a child of God.
Why does God send people to hell? He doesn't. People send their selves to hell, by not believing in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
God is love. God wants everyone to be with Him, in His kingdom, forever and ever. This is the will of God, for everyone to believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ and to spend eternity with God in the kingdom of Heaven.
God doesn't play let's make a deal.
Some people say, "I am okay with God, I have my 'own deal' with God, I don't need to do anything to be saved".
Many people make up their own religion, their own rules of salvation, taking parts of the bible to live by and disregarding the rest.
No one can believe parts of the word of God and have faith in God. Either you believe in ALL of God's word or you don't believe in any of it.
Believing in God is defined as believing in ALL of the doctrine of God. Unbelief is defined as not believing all, or not believing some parts, of the word of God.
There is NO partial salvation and there is NO partial belief, we either believe in ALL of the Word of God or we are unbelievers. We are either saved or lost. We either have faith or unbelief.
Believing in God, all of God, is required for salvation. Believing in God is believing all He says, and all He says that He is in His word.
NO ONE can be 'okay' with God and live in sin, because God said so in His word. All unrighteousness is sin. All sin is against God. Sin is the enemy of God. When we sin, we attach ourselves to sin and detach ourselves from God. We cannot be attached to God and attached to sin.
Many people today make up their own religion by taking certain parts of the word of God and dismissing the rest.
True salvation is receive by believing in ALL of God, believing in ALL of God's word.
God must know you before you can receive eternal life, which is salvation from sin and death in hell.
Many people live a lie by professing that they are saved, saying that they know God, but live a life of sin and disobedience to God. No one can disobey God and know God, no one can live a life of unrighteousness and know God.
There is a difference between being a 'good person' and being saved. Not everyone who is 'good' is saved.
Being a 'good person' will NOT gain anyone entrance into the Kingdom of God. Being a 'good person' does NOT save anyone.
The only way to receive salvation and gain entrance into the Kingdom of God is to put on the righteousness of Christ by receiving the salvation of God. Our sins must be covered by Jesus to enter God's Kingdom of Heaven. We must be washed in the blood of Jesus, we must put on incorruption, we must accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour over all of our life.
When we die, if God does NOT see the blood of Jesus covering us, which we received through faith to salvation, we will NOT spend eternity with Him.
When we die, if God sees the blood of Jesus covering us, then we will be accepted by God, and spend eternity with Him in the Kingdom of God.
We are made worthy to see God only through the blood of Jesus.
Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse man of sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus can cleanse us and make us pure to live for eternity with God.
We can only please God and see God through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
God's plan of salvation is perfect. God's perfect plan for our salvation is by grace through faith.
We are adopted into the family of God, we become the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
The truth is, that it really doesn't matter, if you believe in salvation, eternity exists without your belief.
God is NOT dependent upon man. Man is dependent upon God.
The truth is there is one God who created all things.
If we accept Christ Jesus into our life, into our heart, to be the ruler and controller of our life, when we die, we will spend eternity with God, our Creator, in love and peace forever and ever.
God has always existed. There is not a time where God did not exist.
God exists whether you believe in Him or not, salvation is real whether or not you believe in it, and there is much more after you die.
Every person on earth receives eternity when they die.
When we die, there is Eternal DEATH in hell without God - or - Eternal LIFE in Heaven with God.
Everyone in this world has the same choice where they will spend their eternity.
God says to "choose life"!
(Eternity is a very long time to be wrong.)
Here are two lies from the devil:
Why do so many people believe these lies? Because it is comforting and reassuring to them to believe this lie. It is comforting to believe that everyone goes to heaven and reassuring that God would not really cast anyone to hell.
So were does it say that everyone goes to heaven in the bible? It doesn't. God never said in His word that all people will go to heaven when they die.
Throughout the word of God are specific lists of people who will NOT enter heaven, who will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God, who will perish and spend eternity in hell.
Who are these people who will perish? The damned, the lost of the world that will spend eternity in hell, separated from God for eternity. The unbelieving have chosen eternity in hell.
Are you unbelieving? There is hope for all the unbelieving to change, to turn to faith in God, just ask God to save you and if you have faith that He will, then you will be saved (Romans 10:13).
Just as unbelief kept the Israelites from the promise land, so will unbelief today keep you from your inheritance in the Kingdom of God.
We are to fight the good fight of faith and hold onto our salvation, so we can enter into the promise land, enter into that rest, enter into the Kingdom of God.
We do NOT have to fall, like the Israelites, who died in the wilderness, who are an example of unbelief.
God won't cast anyone to hell
First, notice I didn't say that God won't send anyone to hell, because that statement is true. It is true God doesn't send anyone to hell, all people send their own selves to hell, by not accepting salvation.
Cast and send are two different actions.
People send their selves to hell by not believing in God and trusting Jesus to be their Lord and Saviour over all of their lives.
Everyone on earth, past and present and all in between will stand before God one day and be judged.
Judgment will occur for ALL people.
Special Note: If you are convicted of a crime you will be sent to prison. It is not the judge's fault that you went to prison. You choose prison when you commit a crime. The judge is not to blame for your crime. The judge does not cast people randomly into prison, but he judges them and when they are found guilty they are sent to prison. God is not the reason people go to hell. God does not want anyone to spend eternity without Him. But when one chooses to live in sin without God in unbelief, they have chosen death, because the wages of sin is death.
If the devil can get people to believe that there is no hell, then he can get them to believe that there is not an urgent need for their salvation.
Denial of hell is a lie straight from the devil himself, and he has been using this lie since the beginning of time. In the garden of Eden, the devil told Eve that she would not surely die if she forsake the truth of God, even though God told her that she would die, if she sinned against Him.
Do not believe the lies of the devil, do not be deceived, but believe God and believe in His truth.
God says that there is a hell, an eternal death, which was prepared for the devil and his demons, and where everyone who attaches themselves to the devil through unbelief will go at the end of their life if they choose unbelief, instead of faith in Christ Jesus for salvation.
Jesus Christ holds the keys to heaven and hell, only through faith to salvation in Christ Jesus can anyone be saved from sin and death in hell.
Hell is a real place, an eternal place for the damned, for the unbelieving. The truth is that hell exists rather you believe in it or not.
The wages of sin is death. Everyone will die and be cast into hell, if they do not, through faith, receive the salvation of God.
Only the salvation of God can give anyone eternal life.
Salvation after death is a myth, because God says that no one can receive His salvation after they die.
After a person dies, there is no hope for their salvation, because the choice of salvation must be made while we are alive.
After death, the unsaved face only the judgment of God and eternal death.
There is no hope of salvation for the unsaved after they die.
The choice of salvation must be made while we are alive, because there is no salvation after death.
The Word of God states that "whosoever calls on the name of the LORD will be saved". This includes all the people of all the world.
The salvation of God belongs to God alone, and He alone can decide who receives His salvation.
No religious group owns God's salvation exclusively.
The Son of man, the Son of God, the Saviour of the world, Christ Jesus is the only one who gives salvation to anyone.
The LORD saves. No person on this earth can give anyone the salvation of God, because salvation belongs to the LORD God, no one else. Only the one who owns salvation can give salvation.
Salvation cannot be purchased, because the price of salvation has already been paid by one, Christ Jesus. Jesus paid the price, the ransom for all the people of the world, once for all.
God says we die only once, and after that the judgment.
Every person will be judged by Jesus Christ (John 5:22).
Every person possesses an eternal destiny, either everlasting punishment or eternal life (Matthew 25:46).

KNOW what God says about them. Learn the word of God. Memorize the word of God. Write God's words on the tables of your heart.
Be prepared with the truth of God to give an answer to those who spread lies about God and His Word.
Jesus says that we err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God (Matthew 22:29).
Know the ways of God, fellowship with God through prayer and worship, seek answers from God. Build your faith, strengthen your faith through wisdom, understanding, and knowledge from God and His word.
In love, be ready at all times to defend your faith and beliefs in Christ Jesus.
In order to tell others the truth of God, you must know it yourself. Know the Word. Know the truth of God. Only through a personal relationship with God can you know His will, know His truth and follow His will.
Anyone who alters the word of God, and does not repent of their sin, will be eternally separated from God, will face eternal damnation.
We must be so careful, not to lean on our own understanding, but lean on God, learn from God, seek the understanding and wisdom of God.
We must never alter the word of God for any reason. God will accept no excuse for sin.
God not only wants us to know His word, but He wants us to live it!
