Worldly Myths

This is a Bible study on Worldly Myths.    Click here for a printable Bible Study Guide.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  Isaiah 5:20

Worldly myths are beliefs of the world that are not based on the Word of God and not based on God's truth.

The world claims evil is good and good is evil.  The Word of God claims in the last days, which we are living now, that there will be a great turning away from the truth of God.  We see that this is happening today.  As believers of the Most High God, we must know the truth - God's truth - in order to survive and to counter lies and counter worldly myths.

The believer's counterattack against the lies of this world must be written - found - in the Word of God to have any power.

Why talk about worldly myths?  This page was created to show how the Biblical truth of God stands against all worldly myths - the lies of this world - the lies against God and His people - the lies against faith in Christ Jesus - out in the world today.

Worldly Myths

What are Worldly Myths?

A worldly myth is something stated in the world that does not align with God's Word and thereby does not align with the truth of God.

A worldly myth is the world's view of the things of God, the world's view of life and of the world, which is different than the view and truth of God.

Views and statements told by the world, endorsed by the world, lived by the world that contradict the word of God are worldly myths.

Basically, worldly myths are what the world believes instead of what God says is truth.

The truth of God is revealed by God to all people who by faith in Christ Jesus receive salvation, which is the gift of God of eternal life.

Most people of this world cannot see the truth of God, as found in His Holy Word, because they are blinded by sin, corrupted by sin, they have a sin veil over their eyes - that they refuse, choose not to have removed by Christ Jesus.  By the grace of God through the gift of salvation by God the veil is removed and we can see God for who He is - all that He is and we can see the truth of God.

The unbelievers, the lost, all people of this world who are separated from God, choose to believe the lies of satan, they are blinded by the god of this world, the devil - 2 Corinthians 4:4.

God says that His children, the saved in Christ Jesus, that we are not to conform to this world, but we are to be separated from the ungodly world.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:1-2

We are to remain separated from the sin and the lies of this world

We are to remain separated to God, separated to the gospel of God, separated to Christ Jesus.  2 Corinthians 6:17-18; Jude 1:19; Romans 1:1.

The children of God are to always separate themselves from sin and evil, and remain separated unto God.

We must separate ourselves from sin and separate ourselves to God.

When we are saved, by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus, we repent of our sins, and we turn from sin and turn to God.  The salvation of God is gifted by God to us when we forsake sin and follow Christ Jesus.

The salvation is gifted by God to all people who repent of sin and ask Jesus into their heart, to become the Lord and Savior over our life.  The salvation of God is given to all people who surrender their lives to Christ Jesus, trust in Him to forgive their sins, and to grant them salvation through His blood.

To live in Christ, to abide in Christ Jesus, we separate ourselves from the world and we separate ourselves unto God.

Abiding in Jesus, living for Christ is a daily process.  We must purposefully seek the kingdom of God every day.  We must willfully depart from sin every day.  We must remain separate from the world every day and be separated unto God every day

Living for Christ is NOT a one day event at conversion.  Salvation is a daily commitment to live every day for Jesus.  Salvation is not temporary; salvation is eternal.  Salvation is eternal life given to all people with eternal faith.  Our faith, our trust in Jesus is eternal.  Salvation is a journey, every day toward God.  Every day, as believers of Christ, we must step out in faith, walk in faith and righteousness toward the Kingdom of Heaven, our final destination, our home.

Abiding in Christ Jesus, doing the will of God, is a conscious, purposeful action we must do every day.  To follow Jesus Christ we must take up our cross daily.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  Luke 9:23

Following the will of God, abiding in Christ Jesus is a purposeful action that we must do every day.

Salvation is not a one day event, it is a life long journey.  Faith to faith, never ending faith in Christ Jesus - Romans 1:17.

Salvation is a purposeful and committed journey that we take, as the children of God, to walk through Christ's strait gate, and abide in Christ's narrow path toward the Kingdom of God, every day and for the rest of our lives.

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.  Matthew 7:14

Have you found the strait gate?  Are you walking the narrow path of faith toward eternal life? Are you one of the few who found it?

We are either with God or we are against God.  We are either separated from sin to God -  OR - we are separated from God to sin

No one can abide in Christ and remain living a sinful life.  We must separate from the lusts of this world and be separated unto God.

The evils, the sins, and the lusts of this world are an enemy of God - James 4:4.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,  Romans 1:1

The sons and daughters of God are all people who separate themselves from evil, sins and lusts of the world.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.  2 Corinthians 6:17-18

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.  James 4:4

Are you the enemy of God?  God says all people who are friends of this sinful world - who follow the evil in this world - are the enemy of God.  All people who pursue the sins of the world, who go along with the lies of this world, who go along with the lies against God, are an enemy of God.

The children of God do NOT love the sins and lust of this world.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  1 John 2:15-16

Everything in this world is temporary This world will one day be destroyed and everything in it, including the people who have attached themselves to the world, instead of to God.   People who do the will of God, separate themselves from the evil of this world, will abide forever.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.  1 John 2:17

The will of God is to obtain salvation and abide in Christ Jesus.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.  1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9), came out from God in Heaven (John 8:42, 16:27), sent to earth from God the Father to earth to be the Saviour of the world (John 3:17, 5:24, 6:38).

The Kingdom of God is not of this world (John 18:36), Christ is NOT of this world (John 8:23), we as believers of Christ Jesus are not of this world (John 15:19).  We are the children of God, co-heirs with Christ Jesus into the kingdom of God (Romans 8:17).

Do NOT be deceived - What and who you attach yourself to in this world - will be what and who you will be attached to in the next.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

If you live for sin in sin, for selfish temporal pleasures, if you support the lies and hatred toward God in this world today - you will not be allowed to live in righteousness and live with God in the next.

In order to have eternal life with God after this mortal life is over, you must choose and live with God today.   No one is allowed to switch teams after they die - who you love and serve in this world today, will be who you love and serve in the world to come.

No one is exempt from the law of God.  The word of God stands forever.  The word of God will never pass away.  The word of God is eternal.  Who one serves in this life, will be exactly who one serves in the next.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:7-8

What are some Worldly Myths?

There are too many worldly myths to list them all.

Here we will review some of the more popular worldly myths:

There is no God - Evolution is true - Jesus was just a good man - There are many ways to GOD - People can talk with the dead - Astrology is okay - Witchcraft and Sorcery is harmless - Reincarnation is true - There is no harm with drinking - The Bible and 10 Commandments are not for us today - Just looking at sin is not sin - Sin is okay after you become a Christian because everyone sins - Only the lost will be judged by God - God will not send anyone to hell, no one will really ever go to hell - when you die that's it, nothing happens after you die - I can get right with God when I am old - God can't help me - God let me down, why should I try Him again - All Christians are hypocrites - I was saved as a child so I can live anyway I want to now - No one can go back to God if they leave him - Only Christians go to Heaven - the Bible is just a bunch of children fairytales - only if you do "good works" can you get into Heaven - I can't... - God doesn't love me.

I am sure you know of more that are not listed here.

The problem with worldly myths is that they are repeated so often - generation to generation - that many people actually believe that they are factual.

As believers, we must know fact from fiction so that we can defend the gospel of Christ and our faith.

Jesus said that we err not knowing the Word of God, not knowing the Scriptures, the Scriptures that have the power of God to turn others to Him so they might be saved, the Scriptures that hold the very power of God in them - Matthew 22:29.

Know God's word - don't guess - know it through and through, so when you are confronted with a lie you can know the truth and share God's word with them in love.

Love it! Learn it! Live it!

Worldly Myth - There is no GOD

Worldly myth number 1 - "There is no God".

The lie that there is no God is a worldly myth.

The Holy Scriptures read, "the fool says in his heart, there is no God" - Psalm 14:1, 53:1.

Many people of the world believe and support the theory that there is no God, this is a worldly myth.

Praise the LORD! There is a God!!

"There is no God" is a world myth because there is a God - the one true living God Almighty, the Creator, the everlasting Father, Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the Prince of Peace, the LORD God, the Savior of the world,  the eternal, immortal King, the only wise God, the Holy One, the Redeemer, the Deliverer, the omnipotent Lord God reigns eternal - Genesis 2:7, 17:1; Isaiah 9:6, 40:28, 43:15, 49:7; John 4:42; 1 John 20:28-29; 1 Timothy 4:10; Romans 11:26; Revelation 1:8.

God is the Creator, the God of all creation is a just God and a Saviour - Isaiah 40:28, 45:21.

In the beginning God....God existed before anything was - Genesis 1:1.  The Lord God Almighty reigns eternal - Revelation 11:17, 19:6.

God is immortal.  God is the one and only true immortal because God is the only one existing without beginning and without end - 1 Timothy 1:17.

Fact:  Just because someone doesn't believe in something does NOT make it so.

God exists rather you believe in Him or not.  God exists even if the world does not believe.

The existence of God is not based on your belief, or the belief of this world.  God does not need you or this world to exist.  God doesn't need anyone or anything to exist.

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.  Psalm 14:1

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.  Psalm 53:1

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:  Isaiah 45:5

Worldly Myth - Evolution

The lie of human evolution from a blast in space or evolving from some sort of ooze from the ground or evolving from another existing animal creature is a worldly myth.

Human evolution is a worldly myth.  Human evolution cannot be supported factually by anyone.  Human evolution is a manmade theory.  Human evolution is and has never been more than a theory - an idea someone had that cannot and will not ever be proven by facts.   Theory is no fact.  It is truly amazing how some people will believe anything they are told, even things that can never be proven.

Human evolution can never be proven, because God is the Creator of all things.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  Genesis 1:1

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.  Genesis 1:21

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.  Revelation 4:11

Human evolution in which humankind evolved from another animal or organism is a theory some man thought up.  Evolution of mankind from another animal or organism has never been proven and can never be proven, because human evolution is a lie.  There is no factual evidence to prove evolution.  Evolution cannot be proven.  It has always been a fact that evolution cannot be proven.  The science of human evolution is based on conjecture, theory, and not fact.

Evolution is the most ludicrous theory any man has ever made up.  If man evolved from apes, why are there still apes?  If man evolved from the sea, then there would constantly be new human like creatures coming out of the sea?  If man evolved from anything, there would be new creatures, new types of man evolving into human form today.

The theoretical calculations required to establish human evolution from another organism is theoretically impossible.  Even scientist say that the probability of humankind forming from some thing is impossible, due to the billions of circumstances that would have to be ideal in place all at once.  The synchronization of such an innumerable set of random calculations to fall into place at the exact same time is impossible.

God can be proven.  All any person has to do is look around, all of this creation did not just happen by itself.   Nature itself proves that there is a God.

There are so many errors in evolution, I am not going to waste space on this website to list them all.  Evolution is a manmade theory, just like the one that said the world was flat.

Worldly Myth - Jesus was just a good man

The lie that "Jesus was just a good man" is a worldly myth, a lie that is passed around people who do not believe in God.

A world view is that Jesus was "just a good man".

Jesus was born in the likeness of man here on earth, but more important Jesus is the express image of His Father God in Heaven.  Jesus said if you have seen Him, if you know Him, you have seen and know God the Father, because Jesus is in the Father and the Father is in Jesus (John 14:8-11).

Jesus and Father are One

Jesus is One with Father God (John 10:30), no one else is.  The Father and the Son are one God (1 John 2:22).  Jesus Christ the Son and the Father are one, and they have always been one God.   This single fact alone proves that Jesus was more than "just a good man".   No one else - but Jesus - and the Father are One God.

I and my Father are one.  John 10:30

In Jesus is the fulness of the Godhead bodily

Only in Jesus dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:6,9).  This fact alone makes Jesus divinely unique.  The fulness of the Godhead bodily does not dwell in God the Father, but in Jesus the Son, who is the manifest love of God, who is God in the flesh.

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  Colossians 2:6, 9

Jesus is Lord

Jesus is the Lord, Jesus is the Christ, Jesus is the Son of God Almighty (John 20:31; 1 Corinthians 12:3).

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God

Jesus alone is the only begotten Son of God the Father (John 1:14; 3:16, 18).  Being the Son of God establishes Jesus from being "a good man" to being God.  God can only beget God.  Nothing but God can come out from God.

Jesus came out from God

Jesus came out from God (John 16:27).  Jesus came from Heaven above to destroy sin and death.

Jesus is God manifest in the flesh

God was manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16).  The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14).  Jesus was born in the flesh and in the likeness of man.  Jesus is the manifested love of God (1 John 4:9).

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.  1 Timothy 3:16

Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, God with us

Jesus is the Messiah prophesied of in the Old Testament of God.  Jesus came to earth to fulfill the prophecy as it is written in the Word of God.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.  Matthew 1:23,25

Jesus was born of a virgin in Bethlehem, God manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angles, was a Nazarene, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into the Glory of God, sits on the right hand of Majesty, will return to earth again to receive all believers unto Himself, and to judge the world.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.  1 Timothy 3:16

Jesus is the Word

Jesus is the Word.  The Word was with God and the Word was God, and the Word was made flesh (John 1:1-2, 14).  There is One God in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son (The Word), and God the Holy Ghost.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  1 John 5:7

In the beginning was God (Genesis 1:1).  Jesus was in the beginning with God and Jesus was God (John 1:1-3).  Jesus is immortal and has always existed (John 8:58; Colossians 1:17).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  John 1:1

All things were created by Jesus

Jesus was in the foundation of this earth and all creation was by Him (Colossians 1:16).  All things exist by Jesus (Colossians 1:17).

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  Colossians 1:16-17

God the Father calls Jesus God (Hebrews 1:8).

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  Hebrews 1:8

Thomas calls Jesus My Lord and my God, and Jesus confirms it.

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.  John 20:28-29

Because we believe Jesus is Lord and God, we are blessed by God and will receive the salvation of God, which is eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  John 3:16-18

Jesus forgives our sins

Only God Almighty can forgive people of sin and save them from sin and death (Mark 2:7; Luke 5:21).  Jesus forgives our sins with His blood (Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14).

Jesus laid down His life on the cross for us

God laid down His life on the cross for us, as a ransom for our life, so that we might inherit eternal life (1 John 3:16).

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  1 John 3:16

Jesus is eternal life

Eternal life, inheritance into the Kingdom of God, salvation, is gifted through Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world (Romans 5:1, 9, 11, 21, 6:11; Galatians 4:7; 2 Timothy 3:15).  Life is in the Son, Jesus Christ (1 John 4:9, 5:11).  The only way to Heaven is life through faith in Christ Jesus (John 3:16-17, 20:31; Acts 10:43, 15:11).

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.  1 John 5:11-13

Everyone receives the salvation of God the exact same way, by faith in Christ Jesus

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:26

By faith in Christ Jesus, we become the children of God, and by no other way - the way is Jesus.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6

Only through Christ Jesus, the Son of God, we know God the Father; through Christ Jesus we believe in God, through Christ Jesus we glorify God; through Christ Jesus we serve God; through Christ Jesus we love God (John 8:42; 1 Peter 4:11; 1 John 2:23, 15:4).

Worldly Myth - There are many ways to GOD

The lie that "There are many ways to GOD" is a worldly myth, promoted and spoken by those without the knowledge of GOD.

The world view is that there are many ways to God.  Some people go so far as to say that all religions, all beliefs, all faiths, lead to the same God.

God says that there is only one way to Him, through faith in Christ Jesus to salvation.

Every person in this world is NOT a child of God, because God says that we are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  Not every man has faith in God.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:26

We are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus, no other name is given by God, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the way to God.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6

All people are saved the exact same way, by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9

Worldly Myth - People can talk to the dead

The lie that people can talk to the dead is a worldly myth.  Conversations with the deceased is a lie.

Evil spirits do use evil people.  Evil spirits do and can speak to those receptive to evil spirits (those who invite evil spirits into themselves) and manifest a lie that and pretend that the dead are speaking through them, but this is a lie, an evil spiritual manifestation, that no believer should never participate or view or handle or touch.

No human being can speak to the dead.  Only God can speak to the dead, because there is a chasm separating the dead from the living, which cannot be crossed by the living.

A person who conjured up the spirits of the dead were called a necromancer in the Old Testament, today they are called mediums.

People who say that they hear the dead speak to them are being deceived by the devil himself.  These people, called mediums, hear evil spirits, demons, not dead people.  Remember, the devil is limited in power and so are the demon spirits that follow him, they cannot talk to the dead, they cannot read our minds, and they cannot tell the future.

The devil cannot tell the future.  The devil and the devils that follow him can hear what has been said in the past and what we say out loud, but they cannot read our minds, or talk to the dead.  Remember that the devil and evil has been around longer than you have.  The devil remembers all that was ever done and all that was ever said to him, all that was said out loud.  The devil probably knows us better than we know ourselves, BUT not more than God knows us.

Based on the past, the devil can figure out what most people want and how to trip them up into believing his sack of lies.  If I had a video recording of your entire life, every moment of your life, every secret thing you have done, every moment spent alone, every word spoken, I too could tell you things that would make you believe that I could read your future, just think about it.  This is what the devil does, and how he manipulates people into believing his lies and into believing in mediums.  Mediums are in touch with evil spirits, they have opened up their minds and hearts to evil, and evil has touched them.  Mediums have no powers, as they are only conduits of evil.

The devil doesn't have to talk to the dead, he remembers their life, its all like a movie to him.  He can pull up the information at anytime he needs to deceive anyone.  The devil has information stored on everyone.  How does a medium know your childhood dog got ran over by a fire truck when you were 8, because evil was there.  The medium is not conjuring up your dead grandfather to see where he buried the gold, the devil was there.  The medium isn't psychic because she knows who murdered someone, their name, and where they are buried, the devil tells them, how? because the devil was there.  The devil is roaming this earth every day, walking to and fro, seeking out who he can devour, destroy and kill - 1 Peter 5:8.  The devil sees it all, everything in this world that goes on, and he doesn't forget a thing.

Necromancers, mediums, people who claim to be speaking to the dead - are not conjuring up the dead they are conjuring up the devil and other evil spirits, and playing with fire.

God says that ALL people who are mediums AND  ALL people who participate in these things are an abomination to the Lord God, AND they will receive their just reward, condemnation, the wrath of God, exile from His Heavenly Kingdom, separation from the LORD God for all eternity.

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.  For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.  Deuteronomy 18:10-12

Consorting with mediums, or a necromancer, in the Old Testament resulted in death (Leviticus 20:6, 27).  There is no death penalty in the United States for mediums, but there is still one with God.  All workers of iniquity will never see God, will not inherit His Kingdom, will be eternally separated from God (Luke 13:27; Galatians 6:7).

Do not be deceived, mediums have nothing to do with God, mediums are not right with God, mediums do not possess salvation, because there is no light in them (Isaiah 8:19-20).

God prohibits, condemns the practice of mediums and all who consult them, because they try consulting others to find guidance to the future instead of choosing the right path which God has laid out in His word.

Sorcery, witchcraft, fortune-telling, mediums, astrology, are all sins against God, and all people who participate in such things shall not inherit eternal life (Galatians 5:19-21).  Mediums and any other sin against God is included in "and such like".

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  Galatians 5:19-21

The promises of God include His wrath and His salvation, if anyone repents and turns from their wicked ways and turns to Him by faith in His salvation - God promises to receive them into His family, cleanse them and forgive them of their repentant sins, give them His free gift of salvation, which is eternal life with Him forever.

No one is too sinful for God to save.  Everyone is welcome to come to God, no matter who they are or think they are, no matter what sin has hold of them, nothing is too bad or too big for God.  God loves us all and desires everyone in this world to come to Him for His salvation - salvation from sin and death - so that they can be in fellowship with Him and receive His love and His blessings that He has waiting to give to them.

Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.  Psalm 80:3, 7, 19.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.  Jeremiah 17:14

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Romans 10:13

Worldly Myth - Astrology is okay

The lie that astrology is harmless, that astrology is okay is a worldly myth.

The world view is that astrology is okay.  Believing that nothing is wrong with astrology is a worldly myth.

Please don't confuse astrology with astronomy.  We are not talking about astronomy, which is the study of stars.  Astronomy is okay as it is merely the study of stars.  Astronomist do not believe that the stars tell the future.

Here we are discussing astrology which is the belief of telling the future by the stars.  Telling someone's future by looking at the stars is a lie.  Astrology and the use of horoscopes are not okay.

God alone holds our future in His hands.  Only God knows our future.

Believing in astrology is contrary to the word of God.  If you believe that somehow the stars determine your destiny you are not believing in God.  No one can have faith in the stars and faith in God, because God said so.

God controls the universe.  The alignment of the stars cannot tell the future.

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.  Deuteronomy 4:19

We are to place nothing above God.

What if I just read my horoscope, but really don't believe it, it is just for my amusement, then is it okay?  No, because we have faith in GOD we do not believe in astrology.  Because we love God more than anything else.  Jesus says "if ye love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15.

Worldly Myth - Witchcraft and Sorcery

The lie that witchcraft and sorcery is harmless is a worldly myth.

The worldly myth that witchcraft and sorcery is harmless is especially rampant in the world today.  The world view is to promote, encourage, and even celebrate witchcraft and sorcery.

No other time in America's history has so many resources been spent on promoting sorcery.  From bestselling books, to magazines, to children's toys, to movies, to music, to cartoons, to plays, to the internet, to television, witchcraft and sorcery has infiltrated every commercial market and is being brought into every home in America.

The popular witches and sorcerers of today are known across all economical, social, and nationalities of people.  Whether religious or not, no one is exempt from being saturated with their fame.

Stories, fact or fiction, about witches, warlocks and sorcery are not harmless.

The fact that witchcraft, sorcery, divination is condemned by God, should be enough for anyone to NOT get involved with any part of it in any way.

Sorcery and witchcraft is to be avoided because it is NOT of God.

All people who practice or partake in witchcraft or sorcery will NOT enter heaven.  Watching sin is still sin.

Worldly Myth - Reincarnation

Reincarnation is a lie and a worldly myth.  Many people today believe and teach the myth of reincarnation, that after they die they will be reborn as another person or animal, or something else.

Reincarnation is fiction because the one true living God Almighty, who created us and gives life to all, God Himself said we are born into the flesh once AND we all die once God says that no one has multiple past lives, because God said we die once in the flesh.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:  Hebrews 9:27

Worldly Myth - Drinking is okay

The lie that drinking is okay is a worldly myth.

Many people like to justify their drinking by stating that "drinking is okay because Jesus drank".

Drinking intoxication beverages is okay because Jesus drank is a popular worldly myth.  This world view is held by many professing Christians also.

People like to justify their sin anyway they can, and what better justification than Jesus.

The fact is Jesus never sinned.  God cannot sin.  Jesus was never intoxicated, because Jesus never drank intoxicating beverages.  The wine Jesus drank in the Bible was unfermented wine, new wine, a form of what we call now grape juice.

The word of God repeatedly states over and over again we should avoid drinking all together.  In the scripture above God says those that do such things, as drunkenness shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Yes, some people say that medically a glass of wine is good for some people.  The problem is a lot of people do not stop with one glass, and that's when there's a problem.

For more information see - DRINKING

The word of God tells us how to live, we are to live soberly in this present world, forever watching and waiting for the return of Jesus Christ our Saviour.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  Titus 2:11-13

Where will you be, what will you be doing, when Jesus catches all believers of His, with Him in the clouds, to remain with the Lord forever?  We are to be watching and waiting for His return, we are to be ready to meet our Lord and Saviour at all times, because He could come any day now.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Are you ready to meet the Lord in the air?

Worldly Myth - We are NOT expected to live by the Bible today

"We are NOT expected today to live by the Bible or the 10 commandments" this is a lie.

A worldly myth is that God doesn't expect people today to live by His commandments.

Many people believe that the word of God, especially the Old Testament, where God gave us the 10 commandments does not apply to us today.

Some may say that "the world is changed, its different than in those old times", but this is NOT what God says.

Some even say that, "God was different in the Old Testament time than He is today".

Not believing that the 10 commandments that God gave all of us to live by is not relevant for today is believing that God was different in the Old Testament time that He is today.

God does not change.  God is the same yesterday, today, and forever -Hebrews 13:8.

God is constant and consistent.  God is faithful to all His promises, to all His word.

God has always been God and God will always be God.

Everything in our world changes daily.  People are born and people die.  Wars end and wars begin.  We have jobs and we lose jobs.  We have spouses and we lose spouses.  We have children and we lose children.  We have houses and then we lose houses.   We have wealth and we loose wealth.  Our life continually changes, from the moment we arrive here, until the moment we leave.

We bring nothing in with us to this life, and we take nothing out of this life.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  1 Timothy 6:7

The only One who never changes is God.  God created this world and He loves this world and all the people in it.  The love of God cannot and will not ever change.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8

God is here for us every day, no matter how much we change.  God's love for us never changes, we can count on it to always to be here for us.

All the word of God is true.  The Word of God is eternal.  The word of God will never pass away and all the Word of God will be fulfilled - Matthew 5:18; Luke 16:17.

Worldly Myth - Looking at sin is not sin

"Just looking at sin is not sin" is a worldly myth.

The world view is that just looking at sin, is not really sin.  "It doesn't hurt to look", that is the world talking, NOT God.

People of the world like to make up their own beliefs about God, about what is sin and what is not sin.

The children of God are to be separated from sin and the lusts of this world, this includes sin that we do and sin that we view.

God tells us that purposefully looking at sin, is the same as participating in that sin, and therefore you are in fact committing the sin you are taking pleasure in viewing.

Since the devil is the god of this world (now), sin runs rampant.  Sin is everywhere we look.

Sometimes it is impossible to avoid seeing sin, when it is right in our face, sometimes we have no control when we view sin, but sometimes we do.  Some people plan sin, plan the viewing of sin, like watching a movie or video or television program or the internet on purpose.

Willful viewing of sin is sin against God.  God places the sin act that we watch others commit, onto our personal record, that we will answer to God for on the Day of Judgment.

The word of God states that if we purposefully and willfully look at sin that this is sin.  Sin is sin in the eyes of God, there is not "little sin" and "big sin", sin is sin.

Purposefully and willfully viewing sin, planning to view sin, is sin AND the same sin as what you are viewing.

Example, if you are viewing sex, adultery, nakedness, fornication, sin, blasphemy, taking the name of the Lord God in vain, lying, cheating, stealing, drunkenness, envying, strife, pride, coveting, idolatry, wickedness, murder, lust, worshipping other gods, idol worship, witchcraft, sorcery, defaming God, making fun of Jesus, dishonoring God or Jesus in any way, dishonoring the Sabbath day, unholiness, ungodliness, disrespect of parents, killing, or any such things that is sin, it is the same as if you are committing the sin yourself.

The list of sin goes on and on.  God says that all unrighteousness is sin - 1 John 5:17.

The sin doesn't have to be listed word for word, as the Word of God even states if you think a thing is sin, then for you it is sin - James 4:17.

God says that by viewing sin, that we have participated in that sinViewing sin is participating in sin.

So does that mean we are not supposed to watch television or go to the movies?  It depends on what you are watching, because there is a difference.  What can you watch?  That's between you and God, ask Him and He will tell you.

When you have a right relationship with God, the Holy Spirit will convict your heart when you sin.

When in doubt of a television program or movie you are watching, just ask if God would sit down and watch this?  If the answer is No, you are best to turn it off and not watch it.

If the television program or movie is righteous, glorifies God, corresponds with the word of God, uplifts, then it is probably okay.

If the television program or movie breaks the 10 commandments, or is contrary to the word of God, you should not sin by participating in it.

It is very difficult to watch a television program or movie today without hearing someone in it, take the name of the Lord God in vain.

Disrespect of our Lord God is rampant in the world today.  What was censored 20, 10 or even 5 years ago, is permitted today in our society.

It is such a shame that children are not taught respect for our Creator in our world today.

The children of God themselves have intermingled so much with the secular world that it is difficult to tell who is who - Matthew 7:20.

Worldly Myth - Sin is okay, everyone sins

"Sin is okay after you become a Christian because everyone sins" is a worldly myth.

Many people claim to be Christians today who in fact are not the children of God.  A worldly myth is that everyone is a child of God, or that everyone is a Christian.

God tells us in His word that the children of God are all who by faith accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  Many people want to be saved by Jesus, but few allow Him to be Lord of their life.  You cannot have Jesus as your Saviour but NOT as your Lord, the salvation of God doesn't work that way.

Sin is never okay, under any circumstances.  The truth of God sets us free from sin.  Through salvation we receive the power of God through faith in Christ Jesus and victory over sin through Christ Jesus.

Becoming a Christian is becoming a child of God, being born of God, renewed in mind, body, and spirit.  We either forsake sin or we forsake God, we cannot have fellowship with God and remain in sin.  We cannot be attached to Christ and attached to sin.

Jesus came to earth to destroy sin and death, so that we, though His shed blood on the cross, can be reconciled to God, become worthy through Christ Jesus to enter His Heavenly Kingdom.

Sin came into this world by Adam; and sin was destroyed by Jesus Christ.

Sin was never the plan of God for His creation, and sin today is NOT the will of God for His children.  God didn't give man sin, God gave man free will, to choose not to sin.  Today, we must choose NOT to sin, and through the power and strength of God through Christ Jesus we can say NO to sin.

When we sin we say that we don't care what God did for us, or about the sacrifice that He made for us, so that we could receive eternal life.

When we receive salvation, we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, that He shed on a cross, for all our sins.  We are made whole and pure, worthy through Christ to see God, to live with God for eternity.

Why would we want to put sin back on us, to serve sin instead of serving Christ, who gave His live for us that we could live.

Sin is not of God.  Sin has never been of God.  If we are a child of God we are to serve God, not sin.

God says His children, the saved, Christians, believers of Christ, CANNOT SIN, because when we are born again, Christ abides inside of us, and with Jesus living in us we cannot sin.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.  1 John 3:9

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.  1 John 3:6

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  1 John 3:8

The children of God are saved from sin and death, by Jesus Christ we are made whole.  God says we are to SIN NO MORE, lest a worse thing come to us.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.  John 5:14

Some may believe that their sin is acceptable sin in the eyes of God because they say that they are a Christian.  Some believe that their "Christian sin" is okay, but this is not what God says.  God says all unrighteousness is sin, and all sin is sin.  There is no sin that is okay, or allowed by God.  No sin is okayed by God.

Worldly Myth - Only the lost will be judged

"Only the lost will be judged by God on the day of Judgment" is a worldly myth.

The world does not want to think about the judgment of God.

Some people believe that since the sins of believers are removed by Jesus when we are saved, the saved will not be judged by God on the day of Judgment.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.  Psalm 103:12

Yes, when we are saved, through faith in Jesus, through trusting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour, when we surrender all our life to Christ, and repent and turn from sin, and serve and obey Christ, then all our past sins are permanently removed from us.

The word of God reads ALL WILL BE JUDGED, that includes the living and the dead, the just and the unjust, the saved and the unsaved.

Some Christians believe that since they are saved, since all their sins have been washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ, that they will not be judged because there is no sin to judge.  But, this is not what the word of God reads.

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of ChristRomans 14:10

All the saved in Christ, will be judged by God by their works done while living on this earth.  God will not judge our sins that have been forgiven, because they are gone in His eyes, but we will be judged for the sins not repented of and the works, the fruits of our lives.

The just and the unjust, the saved and the lost, will all be judged by God one day, and we will ALL receive our just reward.

What will God judge us on?

Our speech

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  Matthew 12:36

Some have said, if we wrote down all that we said in one day, that it would equal 50 pages.  How many words do you think you have said in a lifetime?

Every word that comes out of our mouth, will be judged one day by God.  That's why we must choose our words carefully, and monitor ourselves with every word that we choose to use.

And it's not just the words we say that God will judge, but the words we think in our heart.  So don't think that just because you don't say something out loud, but you are thinking it in your heart, that God does not hear it, because God Almighty knows all our thoughts.

Ourselves

We will all stand before God and give account of ourselves to God.  We are accountable to God what we do with our lives, how we serve God, how we obey God, what we do with our salvation that God has gifted to us.

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.  Romans 14:12

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  2 Corinthians 5:10

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.  Ezekiel 18:30

Obedience

Obedience to God is a choice before and after salvation.  How we have follow God and His Holy Word will be judged.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?  1 Peter 4:17

God speaks to all His children.  The Holy Spirit gives us direction, teaches us the things of God.  We either obey God or we do not obey God.

The judgment of others

With what judgment we judge, that is what we shall be judged.

Judge not, that ye be not judged.  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.  Matthew 7:1-2

This Scriptures should stop anyone from judging others.

Our works

We are not saved by any of our works, but our works for the Kingdom will be judged.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:  1 Peter 1:17

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.  Revelation 20:10-15

Every human being was created by God for a purpose.  Each person has unique God given gifts and abilities designed by God to be used for His Kingdom.  It is our duty to find out how we can apply our God given talents to God's service.

How we use our God given abilities, what we do with our lives, how we serve Christ, our works for God's Kingdom will be judged.

I do not believe we were all born to be world renown evangelists, but I do believe that we were all born with special unique talents, given to us by God for His perfect purpose of our lives.

First and foremost, God desires us to be where He created us to be, which is with Him now and for all eternity.  When we are abiding in God through Christ Jesus, we will know and fulfill our Kingdom purpose.

Worldly Myth - GOD will not send anyone to hell

A world myth is that God will not send anyone to hell, because He is a God of love.

Let's start by clarifying that God does not send anyone to hell, but people who choose not to believe in God send their own selves to hell.

The end of all who oppose God is the same - they will inherit an eternity separated from God.

Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels, not mankind.  All people who attach themselves to the devil, serve the devil, follow the ways of the devil will have the same end as the devil.  All workers of iniquity will face the wrath of God.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:  Matthew 25:41

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.  Psalm 9:17

The wicked, the unbelieving, and the cursed will be cast into hell, not by God, but by their own choices in this life, by their choice to remain in unbelief.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.  Revelation 21:8

We die once in the flesh here on earth, after which is the judgment and we either receive eternal death, or eternal life.

"God will not send anyone to hell", this statement refers to the belief that since God is such a merciful and caring God, that in the end, no one will really go to hell.

Many people falsely believe that in the end, when we die, that everyone, believers and non believers of God, will go to heaven, that no one will go to hell.

Some people even believe that there is no hell, even through God tells us in His word that there is a hell.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  John 3:15

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

God says that there are two eternities

  • Without God - Hell, eternal death, everlasting punishment          AND
  • With God - Heaven, life eternal, abundant life.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternalMatthew 25:46

And shall come forth; they that have done good, into the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.  John 5:29

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.  For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.  Romans 13:2

Our choice in this life determines our destiny in the life to come.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.  John 3:36

God tells us in His word that unbelief is what separates the lost from the saved.  The saved believe in God, the lost do not believe in God as Lord and Master of their life.

Worldly Myth - Nothing happens when a person dies

"When a person dies, nothing happens to them, that's it" is a worldly myth.

A worldly myth is that when a person dies, that's it, nothing happens.

How horrible to have hope in nothing, to believe that this life is all there is, that there is nothing to live for.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:  Hebrews 9:27

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.  John 5:28-29

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  John 11:25

God says that the saved in Christ, believers, His children will pass from death to life in His Kingdom of Heaven.

When a believer of Jesus dies, they are immediately with the Lord, were there is no more pain, no sorrow, no worry, no hunger, no thirst, no darkness, no suffering, and no sickness, but everlasting joy in the arms of our Father God (2 Corinthians 5:8; Revelation 7:17; 21:4).

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.  John 5:24

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  John 14:2-3

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.  Revelation 21:4

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  1 Corinthians 2:9

The Scriptures tell us that this life, the mortal life we have in our bodies on this planet, is but a vapor, it is temporal, appears for a little while and then vanishes away, like a vapor - James 4:14.

After our short life here on this earth, when we die,  we will be transported to our eternity, which was irrevocably decided by our choice to accept or refuse God and His truth while we were alive.

After death, we will be immediately present with the Lord and will remain forever with Him - or - we will serve out eternity forever separated from God, from His love, from His hope, from His mercy, from His grace, from His peace, from His joy, from His life, from His Kingdom, and separated from Jesus for all eternity.

Worldly Myth - I can get right with GOD when I get old

"I can get right with God when I get old" is a worldly myth.

A worldly myth is that there will be time to get right with God later, or when you are older.

What age is old?  Is 30 old?  Is 20?  30 might be old to a 19 year old, but 15 is old to an 8 year old.  50 is old until you reach 40, just as 70 is old until you reach 50.  So what age is really old?  Yes, it is true many people live to be 100, but far more people do not.

You may not live to see your next birthday, you could die tomorrow, or today.  So, you see, it really doesn't matter what age you are today, because NO ONE IS PROMISED A TOMORROW, not a 70 year old, not even an 8 year old.

"I'll get right with God when I get old, I'm too young to worry about that now", is what many people of this world falsely believe.

The fact is no one is promised a tomorrow.  You could die tomorrow, or right now where you are today.

There are no guarantees of how long anyone will live.  No one can make themselves stay alive.

You may not live long enough to get old.  You may not live long enough to read this.

Have you ever seen a vapor?  Like the vapors off a hot bowl of soup?  That is what God says our life is just a vapor.

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life?   It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.  James 4:14

Young people die every day.  This is why God so urgently pleads with people to get right with Him today, receive His gift of salvation through faith in Jesus today.  God says, "TODAY if you hear me, answer me!!".

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.  Hebrews 3:15

Today, right now, if you hear the voice of God calling you to Him, harden not your heart, don't put God off until tomorrow, accept God into your life today, before it is too late.

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.  Proverbs 27:1

Why can't I wait until later to accept God?  Because, you may not be here tomorrow.  After you die, it is too late to accept God.  The choice to accept God is only in this life.  There are no second chances after you die.

After you die it is too late to accept God's invitation to salvation.  There will be no chances to accept salvation after death.  You must make the choice to accept God's salvation today.

There are conditions that must be met to receive the salvation of God: 1) you must be alive; and 2) you must believe in God to save you - John 11:26.  Being alive is and will always be a condition of salvation, just as having faith in God for salvation.

God will not call you forever.  The Holy Scriptures tell us, "Today if you hear His voice, harden not your hearts".  Hardening your heart is repetitively telling God NO God does not promise to call you forever, if you say "no" to God today, that might be the very last time God calls you to Him.

There is not one scripture in the word of God, that says God will call you forever.  God does not specify how many times He will call you, but He does say that He will not call you forever.

The more times that you tell God "NO", the more your heart hardens, to the point where you will not hear God at all.  Your heart hardens, like rock, and nothing penetrates it any longer.

Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.  2 Kings 17:14

Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:  Hebrews 3:8

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  Hebrews 3:13

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.  Hebrews 3:15, 19

God promises salvation to all who believe in Him, but God does NOT promise to always call us after we have told Him, "NO".

Some people hear God's voice only once, and answer Him "Yes" and receive Him into their lives as their personal Lord and Saviour.

Other people hear God's voice many times, pulling at their heart, calling them, but they do not answer right away, but they do eventually answer Him, "Yes" and receive Him into their hearts.

Then there are those people who hear God's voice, but put Him off until a later time.  Some of these people die without God and some of these people never hear God's call again.

Some of these people are blessed by God and do hear His voice again and answer Him "Yes" and are saved.

God says, "Today if you will hear HIS voice, harden not your hearts".

Please answer God's call today, because you do not know if you will be alive tomorrow.

Worldly Myth - GOD can't help me

"God can't help me" is a worldly myth.

The world says, "God can't help me, you don't know what I've done, I'm going straight to hell when I die", but God says that He can help you and He will help anyone that asks Him.

God says, "whosoever", who so ever in this world, all people of this world, whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal lifeWhosoever is YOU!

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15-18

For God so loved the world - God loves all the people of this world and God loves you and He gave His Son to die for you, that if you believe in Him, that you should not perish, so that you might have eternal life.

God wrote down His own words for you - a revelation of Himself - that you might know the truth and be set free from sin and death.

Every word written in the word of God was for you, so that you could obtain salvation and receive abundant life, eternal life in His Kingdom, the Kingdom of God.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Acts 2:21

And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.  Luke 14:27

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.  Luke 14:33

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.  1 John 5:18

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.  2 John 1:9

Whosoever - that's you - All people of the world - includes anyone, no matter what is in their past.  No one is excluded from whosoever.

Believe - trust in God, have faith in God - who you cannot see, trust in Jesus Christ to save you from sin and death and forgive all your sins

Call on the name of Jesus Christ - Ask the Son of God, Jesus Christ to save you, and God promises that you will be saved.

Take up your cross, follow and serve Christ Jesus - Repent and turn from sin and follow righteousness all the days of your life.

Surrender all to Christ Jesus - nothing can be held back from God when we receive salvation.  We must be willing to give all we have to Christ Jesus.

Sin not - through Christ Jesus we are saved by God's Grace alone, and because of our salvation, we choose NOT to sin.  We forfeit sin for salvation.

Nothing we can do by ourselves saves us.  NO manmade rituals, works, sacrifice, or penance is required to receive salvation, we are NOT saved by our works - Titus 3:5.

Faith in Christ Jesus produces good works and righteousness, but no one is saved by any works that we might do.  Salvation is the gift from God, a gift not purchased by us, but was purchased by His Son, Jesus Christ.  (If we had to work for salvation, it would not be a gift.)

Those saved in Christ Jesus choose NOT TO SIN because of salvation, not to gain salvation.

We choose NOT to sin because Christ Jesus saved us, and NOT so that we can be saved.  Our not sinning does not give us our salvation.

Only by faith in God are we saved by the grace of God, not by works.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  Titus 3:5

Worldly Myth - GOD let me down

"God let me down before, why should I try Him again" is a worldly myth.

The world view is God fails some people.  A worldly myth is God lets some people down.

God does not let anyone down.  God is the only one who never leaves us.  God is the only one who is love

God is the only one who will never lie to us; God is the truth.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  John 8:32

God is just and right and His plan for us is right and just.

We don't know everything, but God does, and He is in charge of eternal life.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  Ecclesiastes 3:1

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28

The suffering and loss of all things cannot compare to our reward of eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

Everything we know of in this world is temporary, meaningless, and is not worth anything.  Only our salvation in Christ Jesus is permanent and meaningful, real and everlasting.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,  Philippians 3:8

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  Romans 8:18

How can we compare any sufferings today to the Glory which we will see when Christ Jesus our Lord returns for us?

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  John 14:1-3

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.  Revelation 1:7-8

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.  Romans 14:11

We are to give thanks and praise and glory to God for ALL THINGS, not just the good, but all the things that we do not understand.

Knowing that God does know all things, and trusting in Him for all things, the good things and what we think are bad things, this is faith in God.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  1 Peter 4:11

The suffering, pain and loss of today is only for a moment, and are temporary, but Heaven, God, and Jesus are all eternal.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.  2 Corinthians 4:17-18

When my life gets to be too much for me to handle, I step back and look at the big picture, reminding myself what really matters - to live is Christ, to die is gain - Philippians 1:21.

When I redirect my focus, from my suffering back onto Christ Jesus, and on heavenly things, whatever I am going through at the time gets smaller and smaller and eventually vanishes away.

Knowing that I am in Christ and all things are of God allows me to get through anything.  I trust in God for all things.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  2 Corinthians 5:17-18

I trust in the Grace of God in all things.  I will not second guess the wisdom of God.

I will give thanks to my God in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;  Ephesians 5:20

Praising God and giving thanks to God in times of suffering and pain is possible, because all things are possible through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  Philippians 4:13

Imprisoned, hated, starved, beaten, mistreated, Paul didn't praise God to get out of prison, but Paul praised God in spite of prison.

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.  Acts 16:25

Why do we praise and thank God in our suffering and pain?  No matter what happens to us, we can praise and thank God for all things because of Christ Jesus.  Because our purpose in this life is to bring glory to God in all things, and to be an example to the lost, that they may see Christ Jesus in us and be saved.

Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory2 Timothy 2:10

Worldly Myth - All Christians are hypocrites

"All Christians I know are hypocrites" is a worldly myth.

A worldly myth is all Christians are hypocrites.

Some people say that all Christians that they know are hypocrites and worse sinners than they are.  So, you are not going to Heaven, because you saw someone sin?  That sort of logic doesn't make sense.

Not all Christians are hypocrites, but sadly some are.  Still this is no excuse for you not seeking God.

Christians are not perfect but we are forgiven.

No one is to place their faith and trust in people, even Christians, we are all to place our trust, our hope, and our faith in Christ Jesus.

All people are sinners, we all fall short of the glory of God.

Christians are not perfect, but we are made perfect to God through Christ Jesus.  Our sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus, making us worthy through Christ to inherit the Kingdom of God.  Christians will not be perfect until we pass from death to life eternal, from the earth to the glory of God, until we leave our bodies of flesh.

Human beings will let you down, but God never will.  We are to put our trust and faith in Christ Jesus, not man.

We are to follow the doctrine of Christ, not doctrines of men.

You alone are responsible for your own salvation.  Just because you see others fail, does not mean that you should not follow Christ.

Your gauge of righteousness is Christ, not other Christians.  And you are not their judge, God is the only judge.

You need to focus on your own salvation, not others.

If you are blaming other people for your unbelief, you are still lost without salvation.

When you die and meet God, He will ask you why you didn't believe in Him, and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.  Are you going to say, because the way someone else lived, because they lived in sin, I decided not to believe in You?  God will say, "Depart from me, you that live in sin".

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  Matthew 7:23

Does the Lord Jesus Christ live in you?  All people who have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of their life will not receive eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

Worldly Myth - I'm set because I was saved as a child

"I was saved as a child, so now I can live anyway I want to now and go to heaven when I die" is a worldly myth.

A worldly myth is that salvation can be based on a forsaken relationship with Jesus.  If this were true, then the devil himself would end up in Heaven.

Dead faith is unbelief.  Abandoned salvation is unbelief.  Forsaking God is unbelief.  Denying Jesus Christ as Lord is unbelief.  Unbelief separates anyone from God.

Living, current, active faith in God is salvation - Galatians 3:26.

God said that the end of our faith is salvation, not the beginning of faith.  We must hold onto faith in God to the end to receive the salvation of our souls (1 Peter 1:9).

The faith we hold in our hearts on that day when we meet Jesus face to face will determine our eternal destiny.  No one enters Heaven without abiding, current faith in Christ Jesus to salvation.

Salvation is not based on any past relationship with God.  Salvation is a daily journey toward the throne of God every day.  God says that His children have a current abiding relationship with Him.

You must have a current saving relationship with Christ Jesus to enter into the gates of Heaven.  Unbelief separates anyone from God and His Kingdom.

Salvation is eternal, not temporary.  Serving Christ Jesus as Lord of our life is eternal, not temporary.  Obeying God is eternal, not temporary.  Faith in God is eternal, not temporary.

All who endure until the end shall be saved.  God didn't say those who endure temporarily will be saved; NO, God said - those who endure until the end shall be saved.

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.  Matthew 10:22

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  Matthew 24:13

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  Mark 13:13

Departing from saving faith is turning your back on God, unbelief, forsaking God, rejecting Jesus, renouncing your salvation and denying Jesus Christ.  People either walk toward God or walk away from God.  We are either a part of God, or we depart from God.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.  Hebrews 3:12

All people who deny Christ Jesus will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God, will not receive eternal life.

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.  Titus 1:16

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.  Matthew 10:33

Departing from the faith?  But you may say that the saved can't depart from God?  The word of God reads some believe for a while and then fall away.  The word of God reads that some will depart from the faith.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.  They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall awayLuke 8:12-13

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  1 Timothy 4:1

Faith in God is a choice.  God never forces anyone to stay in a relationship with Him.

The word of God reads that many false prophets will show up, like all the cult religions of today, deceiving the very elect, the saved in Christ.

How can this be?  How can a believer in Christ Jesus be deceived?

How was Adam and Eve deceived?  How was Judas Iscariot deceived?  Who tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness?  The devil is the father of lies and deception - John 8:44.  The devil is alive and prowling the earth looking for people to deceive, even the saints, the very elect, the saved in Christ - 1 Peter 5:8.

Deceit is the devil's tool, lies told from the very beginning of time, to fill our heart with unbelief, just like he did Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Unbelief separates anyone from God.

Unbelief separated Adam and Eve from God in the garden of Eden.

Unbelief caught hold of the heart of Judas, and separated him from Jesus.

Unbelief separated some of the angels of God to fall from grace.

The devil tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness with unbelief, but the devil did not succeed, because God cannot be tempted.

We must believe Jesus Christ is Lord to be saved and receive eternal life.

All who do NOT believe in Christ Jesus to salvation will be damned.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.  Mark 16:16

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  John 3:18

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.  John 3:36

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  John 11:25

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.  John 20:31

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  Romans 10:9

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Philippians 2:11

Unbelief separates anyone from God.

We are warned by God in His Scripture to "take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God" - Hebrews 3:12.

Worldly Myth - You can't go back to GOD if you leave Him

"You can't go back to GOD if you leave Him" is a worldly myth.

Leaving the faith is serious and can have eternal consequences.  The problem is not that GOD will not take you back, but that when most leave they never want to come back.

People who leave the faith are caught up in the trap of the world and most do not find their way out again.  Leaving the faith is nothing to be played around with, because you may not be given the chance to return.

Yes, God is able to graft you back in, through godly sorrow and repentance, but the problem is that you will drift so far away you will not find your way back to God.

A branch cannot live cut off from the vine.  A branch will die if it is cut off too long from the vine.  If the branch is grafted back onto the vine, it will live and becomes again part of the vine.

Jesus is the vine and we are the branches.

The only way to come back to God is to believe.  If you still are living in sin and unbelief, you can come back to God.

You must repent - turn from all sin - decided once and for all to make Jesus your Lord and Savior over all of your life - and ask forgiveness of sin from God.  Not repentance like the lost, who ask for forgiveness and in the same breath commit the sin again.

No, to be saved in Christ one must have godly sorrow and ask for forgiveness with all your heart, pledging to God with all your being to serve Him alone, asking Him to renew your spirit and renew your heart.  Committing to obey and follow Christ all the days of your life.

Worldly Myth - Only "Christians" will go to Heaven

"Only Christians will go to heaven" is a worldly myth.   This is a myth based on the broad definition of "Christian".

There is a difference between a professing Christian and a practicing Christian.  Saying you are a Christian does not make you one.  We become the children of God through faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:26).  We believe all who come to Jesus by faith are indeed saved by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:5, 8).  We also believe with the Word of God that in the end many "Christians" will stand in front of the Lord at judgment, professing their good deeds, and God will look at them and say "Depart from me, I never knew you" (Matthew 7:21-23).

Many people in the world, and some Christians, falsely believe that everyone who calls themselves Christians will go to heaven.  Many people say "who are we to judge who is a Christian and who is not".  Actually, we are to judge the works of all who claim to be Christian, just as we are to measure ourselves and judge ourselves.  We must judge the works of others to make sure what actions we are to take with them (believe them or rebuke them).

The word of God states that we are saved by the grace of God through faith in God.  Nothing else saves anyone, but GOD.

Nowhere in the word of God does it state that all "Christians" will go to heaven.

The word of God states believers in Christ Jesus, believers of God, believers who have ask for forgiveness of their sins, confessed their sins, and turn from their sins, who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of their lives, these believers who receive the gift of God, which is salvation by the grace of God through faith in God, these are the ones who will inherit the Kingdom of God.

Our faith in God, our belief in God to save us from sin and death is our salvation - not something we call ourselves.  Labels and names we call ourselves do not save us.  Don't get hung up on labels - labels save no one - only Jesus saves.

I personally have known many people who called themselves Christians who do not have saving faith in God.  Many people wear the label Christian like a club membership.

No label, no name, nothing that you call yourself will enable you to enter into the Kingdom of God.  Only a relationship with Christ Jesus through faith to salvation will grant you admittance into the Kingdom of God.

Only believers of God will be in Heaven.  Only people with saving faith in Christ Jesus will ever see God.  Yes, there will be many Christians in Heaven, many Baptists, Methodists, other religious denominations, and many with different earthly names within the gates of Heaven, but NOT ALL people who call themselves Christian will enter Heaven.

The name or label a person calls themselves, or does not call themselves, does not grant them into eternity with God.

God looks inside the heart of all people, to see if you have saving faith in Him.

It is wonderful to be a follower of Christ Jesus, to have saving faith in God, to believe and accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour over all aspects of your life, to put all your trust and hope in God.

Many people call themselves Christians, who do not believe Jesus Christ is Lord, and who have not accepted Him into their hearts, to be the one and only Master and ruler of their lives.

Too many people put their faith in their denominational name, their religious name, their church name, the things they do, who they are (or think they are), instead of placing their complete faith the one true living God.

GOD saves people - Religion saves no one.

Worldly Myth - The Bible is a book of children fairy tales

"The bible is just a book of children fairy tales" is a worldly myth.

Since the beginning people have tried to corrupt the word of God, but the Word of God has more power than that of man.

Many people have tried to disprove the facts in the Word of God, the Bible, only to have the truth of God revealed to them, as the facts in the Bible cannot be disproven.

Deceit, lies, corruption of men will continue to slander, blaspheme, discredit the Holy Word of God until the end of the world, and even this fact is in the Bible.  But evil will never win over the truth of God.

The Truth of God, the truth of the Bible is eternal, and will be forever and ever, for all eternity.  Every fact in the Word of God is truth.  And every fact in God's Word will be fulfilled.

All Scripture is given by God Himself, penned by holy inspired men of God, for our benefit, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, and revelation of God Himself.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  2 Timothy 3:16

The revelation of God Himself was gifted to mankind in the Scriptures, the Holy Word of God.

As God cannot lie (Titus 1:2), there is only truth in His Word.  God is the Rock, His work is perfect, all His ways are judgment, the God of truth is without iniquity, just and right is He (Deuteronomy 32:4).

All who know God, know His Word is the truth, and is no lie, because the Spirit of God Himself reveals His truth to us (1 John 2:27; 1 Thessalonians 2:13).

The Scriptures, the Word of God cannot be broken (John 10:35), everything that is in the Word of God will happen one day (Matthew 5:18), the Word of God is eternal (1 Peter 1:23).

Worldly Myth - Good works get you into Heaven

"Only those who do 'good works' will go to Heaven" is a worldly myth.

The world would like to believe that good works gets them into heaven, but God says that there is no one who is good (Romans 3;10), but God Himself.  God is love (1 John 4:16), God is true (John 3:13), God is righteous (Daniel 9:14), God is holy (Psalm 99:9).

Only God is good.  We have no "good works" to give to God, until after we receive His free gift of salvation, and put on His righteousness through salvation in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 4:24).

There is absolutely nothing we can do, no good works to perform, that can grant us entrance into the eternal Kingdom of God.

Our work for God is only "good" after we have put on Christ, through faith to salvation in Him.  Through salvation we "put on" Christ (Galatians 3:27), through faith to salvation we are given the righteousness of Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:9) that grants us access to be with God for eternity.  If we abide in Christ, then we fulfill the requirements of God to be with Him.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  Titus 3:5

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9

Worldly Myth - I can't ...

"I can't" is a worldly myth.  The Word of GOD tells me that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens us" (Philippians 4:13).

The world sees itself as limited.  "I can't do this" or "I can't do that", no one can.  This is not what the word of God tell us.

Man is finite, man is limited, but God Almighty is limitless, boundless, infinite, and eternal.

The world places people in a box and would like to place God in a box, limiting the powers of God.   God holds all the power.  God can do anything.

God is omnipotent, all powerful (Revelation 19:6).   There is nothing God cannot do.

If we listen to the lost of the world, we are in bondage to their limitations on us.

As believers of the Most High God, we know that all things are possible with God.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.  Matthew 19:26

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.  Mark 9:23

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.  Mark 10:27

For more information see - Tools of the devil: I can't

Worldly Myth - GOD doesn't love me

"God doesn't love me" or "God can't love me" is a worldly myth.

The fact is God does love you.

Too many people of this world actually believe that God does not love them, or cannot love them.  How very sad.

The world cannot understand love, because they are without God.

The love the world knows is selfish, self-centered love, lustful love and sinful love, which is not true genuine love.  This is why the love of the world fails them.  No one can know love without God, because God is love.

God is love - 1 John 4:8, 16.  God has more love for us that we can imagine.  God is limitless and His love for us is limitless.  God's love is eternal.  God's love for us is immeasurable and unsearchable.

The word of God, His Holy words, the Holy Bible, is the history and revelation of the love of God to humankind - beginning with Adam and Eve and ending with the end of the world and eternity in the Kingdom of God for all who love Him.

With our limited human minds, we only comprehend a fraction of the love that God has to offer to us.  We are limited, but God is limitless.

How do I know God loves all people, no matter what?  Because He said so.  God loved us so much that he laid down His life for us, so that we could receive forgiveness of our sins, and so that we may inherit everlasting life - 1 John 3:16, 4:9; John 3:16.

Once we receive the salvation of God and accept the love of God into our hearts, God promises that nothing can separate His love from us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:38-39

I know God loves everyone, all people, because God loved us all so much that He gave to all of us His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, as a sacrifice for all our sins, that whoever believes in Him would not die, but receive everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

God didn't send Jesus into the world to condemn us, but that through faith in Him we could all be saved.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  John 3:17

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  1 John 4:10

God does love you.  God loves you.

Why do so many people believe worldly myths?

There are many reasons why so many people are caught up in the lies of worldly myths.

  • They do not want to take the time to learn God's truth.
  • They choose to believe a lie.
  • They were taught lies by other people and do not want to change.
  • They haven't tried to seek out the truth of God.
  • They choose not to read the Word of God, the Holy Bible.
  • They think the truth is in them, without God
  • They think its not worth the effort
  • They think all those people who deny God can't be wrong
  • They rather have someone else think for them

The Word of God states that we all choose to believe, or choose not to believe.  Believing or not believing in God is our choice.  God created each of us, God breathed life into our souls, God gifts each person with free will, God gifts each person with a measure of faith to believe in Him, but leaves the choice to come to Him to each of us.

God has set before each of us the choice of heaven or hell, everlasting life or everlasting death, and God says choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).

We are all given the measure of faith (Romans 12:3) to believe in God, but it is ultimately our own choice rather we believe God's truth.

We are the children of God, the saved, saints, believers, through faith in Christ Jesus for the salvation of our souls (Galatians 3:26).

We must believe that God is God and that He is and that He does everything that He says in His word to receive God into our lives (Hebrews 11:6).

Many people reject God, because if there is no God, there is no sin, no need for repentance of sin or forgiveness of sin, no penalty for sin, there is no punishment for rejecting God, they can then believe there is no hell, and no consequence for the way they live.

God states the penalty of sin, for a lifetime lived in sin, for a lifetime lived in rebellion to God, rejecting God's Word.  God states that the wages of sin is death.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

The wages of sin, the end of a life lived to sin is death, eternal separation from God - but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord - Romans 6:23.

What can I do about worldly myths?

When you hear people attempt to quote the lies of the world as the truth - give them the facts, give them the truth of God in love.

We can gently and loving show people their error with the word of God.  Give them the truth about God in kindness, gently in the love of God.

We can know the truth about God by seeking God, by loving God, through studying and mediating on His word, writing His words on the fleshy tables of our heart (2 Corinthians 3:3), being zealous for the truth of God, defending our faith in Christ Jesus.

One day soon everyone that ever spoke against God, Christ Jesus, the Holy Ghost, or the saints of God will know the truth, because God promises that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).

We are to work out our own salvation (Philippians 2:12), dividing the truth from error (2 Timothy 2:15), living by faith (Romans 1:17), working for God's Kingdom until He comes for us.

Believers are to take on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-20), be blameless in this crooked and perverse nation (Philippians 2:15-16).  We are to shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:15).

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.  Philippians 2:15-16

We must know the truth in order to speak God's truth.  We can only know God's truth by living with God, having a relationship with God through Christ Jesus.

As believers, we are to know God's word - sanctify the Lord God in our hearts - and always be ready to give an answer to every man that asks us the reason of the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15).
